  • The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Repeatedly Persecutes 60-Year-Old Retired Doctor after Her Cancer Is Cured by Falun Gong

    The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has repeatedly persecuted Ms. Peng Dongbin, a retired doctor, for the past 12 years. Ms. Peng was diagnosed with late-stage cervical cancer in 1995. After Ms. Peng learned Falun Gong in early 1996, her physical condition improved. She became stronger and even went back to work in March of the same year. Police have harassed, arrested and detained her, ransacked her home, and extorted money from her family. Recently, under the pressure of the persecution, her husband indicated that he wanted to divorce her. In addition, her employer, the Miluo Blood Protection Office, ordered her to report to a brainwashing facility on July 3rd.
  • Mr. Liu Renge Dies in Police Custody in Tonghua County, Jilin Province

    On June 28th, while Mr. Liu Renge was distributing Falun Gong materials in Ying'ebu Town, Tonghua County, the police from the Tonghua County Police Department Domestic Security Division arrested him. On the same day, he was sent to the Tonghua County Detention Centre. On July 22nd, his family sent out the news that Mr. Liu had died in police custody, only one month after he was arrested. On the evening of the same day, it was confirmed that his body was in the Tonghua City Funeral Home. Besides his family members, plainclothes police officers were also there.
  • Falun Gong Practitioner Zhou Xiangyang Resists Persecution with Hunger Strikes; His Family Denied Visitation Rights

    Mr. Zhou Xiangyang has been holding hunger strikes to resist the persecution after he was arrested and sent to Gangbei Prison, Tianjin City on March 5th, 2011. His mother and wife have only been able to see him twice in the past four months, and those two times were because the prison was pressured from the outside. Mr. Zhou looked very thin and weak when his family saw him. He asked his family members to hire a lawyer to sue the police for the arrest and ransacking of his home.
  • Forced Labour and Mistreatment in Division No. 2 of the Hohhot Women's Labour Camp

    Hohhot Women's Forced Labour Camp's Division No.2 forces Falun Gong practitioners and other inmates to do hard labour. They work ten hours a day to seal polywoven bags for Xinde Plastic Co., Ltd. Beginning on March 16th, 2011, they got up to begin work at 6:30 a.m. and worked non-stop until 8:00 p.m. This schedule lasted until May 29th, when they switched to getting up at 6:00 a.m. and worked until 6:00 p.m. The high decibel noise in the workshop, together with the overload of hard labour and carrying heavy items, completely exhausts them.
  • Two Falun Gong Practitioners from Liaozhong County, Liaoning Province Arrested and Sentenced

    Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Chen Guotao was arrested by police and they found Falun Gong books in his home on April 26th, 2011. He is currently detained in the Liaozhong County Detention Centre. Practitioner Ms. Chen Min was arrested on November 19th, 2010, while talking to people about Falun Gong and the persecution on the street and was sentenced to three years in prison. She is currently being persecuted in Zaohua Detention Centre in Shenyang City.
  • 68-Year-Old Falun Gong practitioner Qu Yuxiang Dies – Never Recovered from Labour Camp Torture

    Older Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Qu Yuxiang was almost paralysed due to nerve pressure from excessive thickening of bone tissue before she practised Falun Gong. After learning the practice all her illnesses disappeared. She followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and was known to be a good person by all those around her. In 2000, when she was distributing leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong she was arrested and sent to a detention centre. Soon after she was sentenced to three years in a forced labour camp. Because Ms. Qu refused to give up Falun Gong she was tortured. Due to the torture endured during her term at the labour camp, Ms. Qu Yuxiang's body and mind suffered great damage. Her physical health never recovered. She died on July 10th.

    Mr. Luo Zhenggui and his wife were detained by officials from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for not renouncing their belief in Falun Gong. They were subjected to brainwashing and sentenced to imprisonment. In May 2004, while they were being tortured in prisons, Mr. Luo's father-in-law passed away. His wife almost died from torture. They are now homeless in an effort to avoid being detained again. Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials confiscated their home, stole their personal belongings and withheld their pensions.
  • More Information Regarding Practitioners Arrested by Luojiang County Court in Deyang City, Sichuan Province

    On March 7th, 2011, the Luojiang County Court announced a trial to be held against four Falun Gong practitioners. However, the trial was actually just a trap to lure practitioners into the courthouse, where they were arrested. In total, twenty-two practitioners from various counties in Deyang City and some practitioners from Mianyang City went to the court for the hearing and were arrested and taken to brainwashing sessions.
  • 53-Year-Old Ms. Zhan Zhongrong Secretly Sentenced to Forced Labour Camp

    On July 4th, practitioners Ms. Zhan Zhongrong (53 years old) and Ms. Bi Lanxiang (70 years old) were arrested and detained by the Fulai police station. Ms. Zhan Zhongrong’s son went several times to the national security team and asked to see his mother and her arrest papers, but his request was denied. Ms. Zhan’s son received a notice on July 19th, from a police officer. It said, “Your mother was sentenced to forced labour or one and a half years.”
  • Deputy Director of the Education Commission of Hanjiayuan Forest Bureau in Daxinganling Region Dies

    Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Yaru was persecuted in Heilongjiang Women's Prison. She died of leukaemia on July 20th, 2011 at the age of 48. In July 2008, Ms. Li was taken into custody by local police. They broke into and ransacked her home, confiscating her computer, an MP4 player, and other personal items. They forced her to sit on a bench with Falun Gong books and photographed her. The police claimed that for one year they had watched as Ms. Li told people the truth about Falun Gong and promoted withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organisations. Ms. Li was sentenced to three years in prison.
  • Guangzhou Lawyer Zhu Yubiao Sentenced to Two Years in Prison

    The Zhuhai District Court in Guangzhou held a session on July 13th, 2011. Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhu Yubiao was sentenced to two years of imprisonment. Mr. Zhu's mother denounced the judge for being controlled by the 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) and sentencing her son, bringing shame to the law. After she spoke, the judge was speechless.
  • Former County Government Official Persecuted Due to His Beliefs

    Falun Gong practitioner Kou Chuangjin is a former county-level government official in the Qingyang Business Bureau. On June 29th, over ten police officers from the Criminal Police Brigade of the Xifeng District Public Security Bureau in Qingyang surrounded his home. They drilled through his anti-theft door, and broke into his home. They arrested Mr. Kou, and confiscated some of his personal belongings. Mr. Kou was held in the Xifeng District Criminal Police Brigade for two days, and subsequently taken to a detention centre.
  • Mr. Lu Lianglin from Chenzhou City Persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party

    Mr. Lu Lianglin recovered from incurable Hepatitis B after he started to practise Falun Gong. After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Gong in July 1999, Mr. Lu was arrested many times. Mr. Lu pasted over 20 posters exposing the persecution of Falun Gong on poles in several villages. A villager in Pailou Township reported Mr. Lu and police arrested him. Mr. Lu was taken to the Anren Detention Centre, where he was forced to do labour, stringing together plastic beads. After detaining him for approximately seven months, they still had not released him.
  • Accounts of Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners in Jiangsu Province Women's Forced Labour Camp

    In May 2011, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Li went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution in the Jiansu Province Women’s Forced Labour Camp. However, the guards force-fed her many times. Each time after the force-feeding, the guards covered Ms. Li’s face and body with a dirty, black cotton sheet and left her in the hot sun in the courtyard. Practitioner Ms. Liu Shuyun was tortured to mental disorder soon after she was sent to the labour camp. She frequently displayed symptoms of having a mental disorder, causing her to shake and twitch from head to foot and be unable to walk or take care of herself.
  • Miao Shuqing from Fushun City, Liaoning Province Suffers Years of Persecution

    Falun Gong practitioner Miao Shuqing has been arrested by Chinese Communist Party officials multiple times since 2000. Throughout the ordeals, Miao Shuqing has refused to give up her beliefs. She was detained at Jianglu Police Station, Fushun Police Station, Qianjin Police Station, and Shenyang Women's Prison. During one arrest police made Miao sit on a chair with shackles on both of her feet, with her hands stretched apart and tied to metal rails, and her lower body tied to the chair. Her legs were then lifted up until they were above her head, then let down, then lifted up again. This was repeated several times. This kind of torture was also used on others, to injure the thighs, causing the practitioners to be unable to walk.
