Ms. Jin Nu Brutally Tortured and Husband Dies Due to Persecution

Since the persecution of Falun Gong began in July 2009, police have tortured, harassed, and extorted money from Ms. Jin Nu and her husband. Ms. Jin was handcuffed on a steel chair continuously for more than 12 hours. When she was released from the chair, she was not able to stand up straight. Her husband was persecuted and as a result became paralysed. He was shocked during the process of Ms. Jin's arrest. Since all their money was confiscated by police, he was not able to afford any treatment. He passed away on April 22nd, 2010. -
Many Practitioners in Li County Arrested; Ms. Peng Donglian Died in Detention
2010-12-06On November 9th, 2010, 12 practitioners in Li County, Changde City, Hunan Province, were arrested. Among them, 58-year-old Ms. Peng Donglian died under mysterious circumstances in the Li County Detention Centre on November 20th. Chinese Communist Party (CCP) personnel claimed that she died from heart disease. Yet Ms. Li had never had heart disease listed anywhere in her medical history. -
A Retired Cadre of Shenyang Bureau of Civil Affairs in Sichuan Province was Persecuted to Death
2010-12-06Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Shen Bing, 66, had suffered from liver cirrhosis and could not find a cure. After practising Falun Gong, both his physical and mental health recovered. However, because he refused to give up the practice, he was sent to Deyang Prison. In April 2010, Mr. Shen started having pain in his liver. He told the guards the history of his severe liver cirrhosis prior to practising Falun Gong and requested medical treatment. Due to a lack of timely medical treatment, his condition became worse. Mr. Shen was persecuted until he became critically ill and died on November 22nd, 2010. -
Practitioner Mr. Chi Zhi Died as a Result of Persecution in 2009
2010-12-05In June 2003, when Mr. Chi Zhi was distributing Falun Gong leaflets exposing the persecution, he was arrested by police and sentenced to three and a half years of imprisonment. Under tremendous physical and mental stress, he developed liver cancer. Mr. Chi could not work. Because he did not have any income, he could not afford medical treatment. In addition, he was frequently harassed by the local police. Under pressure from the authorities, his relatives could not understand him or offer him aid. As a result, Mr. Chi became more ill and lost weight. In July 2009, he passed away at the age of 27. -
Song Yanzhao Died in 2001 as Result of Persecution at Pingantai Forced Labour Camp in Gansu Province
2010-12-05In the nine years since Mr. Song Yanzhao was persecuted to death at Pingantai Forced Labour Camp, some detailed information deliberately hidden by the labour camp has gradually came to light. Guards incited drug addict inmates to strip the clothes off of Mr. Song and tie him to a beam in the vegetable shed. After beating him for three hours, the inmates would let him down. This torture continued for five days and resulted in two of Mr. Song's ribs being broken. On May 3rd, 2001, he grabbed a bottle of pesticide and drank it out of desperation. (Editor's note: Song Yanzhao's action was a result of the Chinese communist regime's brutal persecution. However, it was not in accordance with Falun Gong's principles that prohibit killing and suicide.) -
Details about the Persecution of Deceased Schoolteacher Ms. Huang Yanli
2010-12-05In 2002 Ms. Huang Yanli was sent to a detention centre because she made Falun Gong leaflets exposing the persecution. Ms. Huang was sentenced to six years in prison and was sent to Nantong Women's Prison. She was unable to eat for four months, and the prison gave her intravenous solutions often and unknown drugs. She was usually unconscious. When her condition was critical, the prison sent her back to Nantong. Ms. Huang passed away on December 15th, 2004. She was only 35 years old. -
Ms. Liu Shuling, 55, Tortured to Death in Harbin City Drug Rehabilitation Forced Labour Camp
2010-12-03Ms. Liu Shuling and eleven other practitioners were tortured in the Harbin City Drug Rehabilitation Forced Labour Camp in Heilongjiang Province from July 1st to July 3rd, 2010. Ms. Liu Shuling died on July 3rd. According to a witness, she was tied to an iron chair and died after being shocked with an electric baton. Ms. Liu was sent to the Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Forced Labour Camp in 2008, and was supposed to be released on July 26th, 2010. There were bruises from electric shocks on her left ear and on her neck. Her family requested to see her whole body, but the police did not allow the family to investigate further. -
Elderly Ms. Wu Yingzi Dies as a Result of Persecution in Jilin Province
2010-11-30Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started the persecution of Falun Gong on July 20th, 1999, Wu Yingzi has been to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong three times. She was arrested and detained at Tiananmen Square Detention Centre, where she was brutally tortured all three times. She was arrested again over the years and in August 2009. At Wangqing Brainwashing centre, Wu Yingzi was persecuted so severely that she developed a serious heart condition and her blood pressure shot up. At the time, police told her to go home and said that they would arrest her again after she recovered. The elderly woman was forced to become homeless to avoid further persecution. Ms. Wu passed away on July 17th, 2010. -
Chinese Communist Regime's Malicious Infringement of Female Falun Gong Practitioners' Rights
2010-11-30Falun Gong practitioner Gao Rongrong was taken to the Longshan Forced Labour Camp in July 2003. Deputy leader of the labour camp's second division Tao Yubao and team leader Jiang Zhaohua shocked Ms. Gao with electric batons for more than six consecutive hours starting on May 7th, 2004. Her face was disfigured with blisters, with the burned skin, pus, and blood being stuck together. Her face became so swollen that her eyes could not open, and even her best friends couldn't recognise her. A photo of Ms. Gao's disfigurement released 10 days after the torture sent shocks throughout the world. Later Ms. Gao was brutally tortured to death. -
Details about the Persecution of Deceased Schoolteacher Ms. Huang Yanli
2010-11-28Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Huang Yanli was arrested many times by the 610 Office [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong] of Nantong because she wouldn't give up practising Falun Gong. She was sent to a brainwashing centre, a detention centre, a forced labour camp, and prison. She was brutally abused in Group No. 4 in Judong Forced Labour Camp, where they made her stand for long periods of time, and her calves swelled so badly that they looked thicker than her thighs.Her health deteriorated and she was unable to eat for four months. Ms. Huang passed away on December 15th, 2004. She was only 35 years old. -
Dr. Shen Yueping from Yunnan Subjected to Persecution Before She Died
2010-11-27Falun Gong practitioner Dr. Shen Yueping had won many awards in the city and in the province, and had earned a good reputation among patients and colleagues. In 2000 Dr. Shen Yueping went to Tiananmen Square to hold a banner that read, "Falun Gong is good." She was arrested, and sentenced to a three-year prison term. In 2004 Dr. Shen was sentenced to a five-year term in prison. In May 2009 her husband received a phone call from a guard in the Second Women's Prison stating that she was in critical condition. Dr. Shen had been mistreated and was emaciated. She was nothing but skin and bones. Dr. Shen died on July 16th, 2009. -
Shanghai Practitioner Lu Xingguo Brutally Tortured to Death in 2003
2010-11-25Lu Xingguo was persecuted since the persecution against Falun Gong started in 1999. He was imprisoned at the No. 1 Forced Labour Camp in Dafeng, Shanghai for eighteen months. During his imprisonment, Mr. Lu was physically and mentally tortured, and forced to perform heavy labour for long periods of time every day. In 2003, he was sent to the No. 3 Forced Labour Camp in Qingpu District, Shanghai. The warden convinced inmates to beat him and torture him with the tiger bench. Lu Xingguo's painful screams could be heard from outside the cell. The perpetrating inmates demanded that he give up his belief in Falun Gong, but he refused. On October 15th, 2003, Lu Xingguo was tortured to death. Witnesses said that Lu Xingguo's body was covered with electric shock marks. -
Two Men in Xinmi County Prison Die as a Result of Abuse
2010-11-25Sixty-nine-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yang Shucai was arrested in March 2009. Mr. Yang was detained for seven months. He was then sentenced to four years in prison and sent to the Xinmi County Prison in Zhengzhou. Mr. Yang's physical condition worsened while he was there, and he was released for medical treatment on September 29th, 2010, and passed away 12 days later. Mr. Sun Peijie was sentenced to four years in prison and tortured until he was in critical condition. He was sent home in January 2005 and passed away on August 19th, 2005. -
Ms. Qi Yuzhen, 60, from Jilin City Died as a Result of Frequent and Continuous Persecution
2010-11-22Elderly practitioner Ms. Qi Yuzhen from Jilin City was subjected to gross abuse and mistreatment during the past eleven years of the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Ms. Qi died as a result of the persecution on April 8th, 2010. Ms. Qi was arrested five times, and was held in more than a dozen facilities. Ms. Qi was subjected to nearly 600 days of severe abuse and torture during her detention, bringing her to the verge of death. She held seven hunger strikes in the labour camp. She was brutally force-fed, breaking all of her teeth in the process. She experienced near-death many times during the force-feeding. -
Practitioner Yang Lixia Persecuted for Eight Years--Her Husband Tortured to Death
2010-11-21Ms. Yang Lixia is a practitioner in A'cheng City, Heilongjiang Province. Because she practises Falun Gong, she has been repeatedly arrested, beaten, and sentenced to forced labour camps by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officers. Since September 1999, she has been imprisoned for approximately eight years and has suffered numerous rounds of torture. Her husband Zhang Bingxiang was tortured to death due to his belief in Falun Gong.
