Fearing Exposure, Forced Labour Camp and Prison Officials Refuse to Release Practitioners Who Have Been Persecuted to the Brink of Death

Since the persecution of Falun Dafa began in July 1999, guards and police in China's forced labour camps and prisons have tortured many illegally imprisoned practitioners to the brink of death because they refused to give up their belief in Falun Dafa. They do not release the injured practitioners earlier because they are afraid the practitioners will expose the crimes at the camps and prisons. They often release practitioners just when they are about to die, to prevent the death from being counted in the prison or labour camp statistics. They also hope to hide their evil conduct. This is the typical Communist Party pattern of "untruthful, evil and violent" behaviour. -
Practitioner Ms Jiang Cuilan Tortured to Near Death in Gaoyang Forced Labour Camp
2005-01-03Ms. Jiang Cuilan, 58, from Hebei Province has been persecuted for the past few years for practising Falun Gong. On October 2004, the police abducted her and took her to the Gaoyang Forced Labour Camp in Baoding City. Continuous torture has emaciated Ms. Jiang and put her life in danger. -
Ms. Yang Baozhen of Qian'an Township in Jilin Province Died from Persecution
2005-01-02Ms. Yang Baozhen, 55 years old, was a retired employee of Dabusu Department Store, Qian'an Township, Jilin Province. She was sentenced to a forced labour camp for one year. During her labour camp detention, she showed heart disease symptoms and was released on bail for treatment. Yang was under close surveillance and was harassed after her release. She was forced to leave home and went from place to place to escape further persecution. As a result, Yang suffered greatly physically and mentally and passed away on November the 8th 2004. -
Ms. Lu Xuesheng Detained for Writing to Shandong Provincial Party Committee Secretary Requesting Her Son's Release
2005-01-02Shandong Province Falun Dafa practitioner Lu Xuesheng from Zouping County Taizi Town, is over 60 years old. She has been illegally arrested, detained and sent to labour camps many times. Her most recent detention resulted from writing the Shandong provincial party committee secretary Zhang Gaoli a letter to explain the truth about Falun Gong and to request the release of her son, Wang Zikang, also a practitioner. Since July the 20th 1999, Lu, her daughter Wang Xin, and her son Wang Zikang have all been arrested, detained and sent to labour camps, but they have never given in to the pressure to renounce Falun Dafa. -

The Epoch Times: 9-Year-Old Orphan of Deceased Falun Gong Practitioners Raped Daily in a Beijing Mental Hospital
2005-01-01Ms. Liu said that each night, three guards would come to the ward she shared with two other "patients." They'd gang rape a 9-year-old girl, an orphaned daughter of a Falun Gong couple. The girl was so traumatised and devastated that she couldn't even walk and urinated and defecated on her bed. -
Senior Official Mr. Feng Min Died from Persecution
2004-12-30Mr. Feng, who was 75 years old, was an official at the bureau level in Tianjin. Previously he had undergone heart bypass surgery before practising Falun Gong and at that time was in poor health. In 1994, his health greatly improved as he began practising Falun Gong. Shortly afterwards, he eliminated all of his illnesses and saved his organisation hundreds of thousands of yuan worth of medical expenses. He died from police harassment and threats for practising Falun Gong. The exact date of his death is not available. -
Ms. Huang Bing from Dalian City Dies as a result of Persecution
2004-12-30Ms. Huang Bing, 26, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Xudatun Village, Xingtai Town, Pulandian, Dalian City, Liaoning Province. She used to suffer from leukemia, but after she took up the practice of Falun Gong, she completely recovered. She was thrown into Pulandian Detention Center. During her more than one month detention, Ms. Huang was severely tortured. As a result, her nose kept bleeding non-stop. The detention center didn't want to take any responsibility, so they released her. Under the tremendous pressure, Ms. Huang passed away around 9:00 on the night of February the 4th 2004 -
Two Falun Gong Practitioners from Yunnan and Hebei Provinces Persecuted to Death in 1999 and 2002
2004-12-30After Jiang's regime started to persecute Falun Gong on July the 20th 1999, Mr. Chen Jianzhong's workplace and the "6-10 Office" forced him to go through brainwashing many times. On November the 4th 1999, frightened by the intimidation during brainwashing, Chen Jianzhong fell from his chair to the ground. He spit out foam from his mouth and half of his body was paralysed. He was sent to the factory-affiliated hospital for emergency rescue. However, despite the rescue efforts, he died the same night, at the age of 65. -
The Orphaned Children of Practitioners Ouyang Wei and Zhao Xudong
2004-12-29Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Ouyang Wei, 32 years old, lived in Lanzhou, Gansu province. On October the 16th 2002, three people from Aning Police Station, State Security Team tricked him into opening his door by telling him that they were his colleagues and that they wanted to take him to the police station to investigate something. At noon, the three policemen took Ouyang Wei back home and said to his family that they would take him to "study" for a few days. They sent Ouyang Wei to Gansu No. 1 Labour Camp for one year of forced labour. -
62-year-old Practitioner Ma Jinfeng from Hebei Province Dies After Years of Abuse and Harassment
2004-12-29Mr. Ma Jinfeng, a 62-year-old from Juyang Township, Sanhe City, Hebei Province, started practising Falun Dafa in November 2000. For the past four years, he has been subjected to repeated persecution. Under this tremendous pressure, he died on September the 20th 2004. The local police still came to his home in an attempt to harass him the day after he died. -
Practitioner Ms. Qi Xueping Passes Away As a Result of Persecution
2004-12-29Ms. Qi Xueping, 48, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Bailing Village in Xiahuai Town, Pingshan County, Hebei Province. In early 2000, Xiao Suilong and other policemen from the Political Security Section of the Pingshan County Police Department arrested her. She was confined in the Pingshan County Detention Center and persecuted. -
Qiqihar City Practitioner Li Huifeng Appeals to Court Regarding Persecution He Experienced
2004-12-29On January 22, 2001, Qiqihar City Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Huifeng was taken away by the police. In July 2001, he was charged and sentenced to 12 years in prison by the Jianhua District Court. Mr. Li appealed to a higher court according to the law, but the Qiqihar Mid-level Court went so far as to write in their verdict that Mr. Li accepted the initial ruling and withdrew his appeal. -
Belated Report: Three Falun Gong Practitioners Die As a Result of Persecution
2004-12-28Mr. Liu Zhaohui, in his 30s, was a resident of Gao'an, Jiangxi Province. In early February 2002, Mr. Liu was again sent to Jiangxi Province's No. 2 Forced Labour Camp (also known as the Gaoan Forced Labour Camp). He launched a hunger strike to protest his illegal detention and died days later, right after the Chinese Lunar New Year. -
Ms. Zhu Xiyu Suffers Mental Collapse from Torture at Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp
2004-12-28Ms. Zhu Xiyu, formerly an accountant for the Dongbeiya Company in Yanji City, Jilin Province, has been detained in the No. 4 Squad of Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp for more than one year for persisting in her practice of Falun Gong. There, she was tortured to such an extent that she now appears to be psychologically detached, mentally impaired and unable to take care of her own basic personal needs.
