Germany: Despite Terrible Weather, People Support Practitioners

Practitioners in Northern Germany organised an information day in downtown Hamburg to help local people understand the truth of Falun Gong and the persecution in China. Practitioners had painted and framed some pictures that were on display, depicting real torture scenes. Many passersby stopped at our stall, signed the petition and asked how they could help. -
Czech Republic: Touring Six Cities in Northern Moravia

From the 25th to the 30th of April, a group of practitioners from the Czech Republic toured six Moravian cities. They introduced Falun Gong and told the public about the vicious on-going persecution against the practice in China. Close to six hundred petition signatures were collected and around 30.000 leaflets were handed out. -
Russian Falun Gong Association Sends Letter of Protest to the Singapore Embassy

Russian Falun Gong practitioners were very concerned when they heard that two Singapore practitioners were unjustly arrested by the Singapore Government after distributing material revealing the persecution to tourists from Mainland China. On 6th May 2005, representatives from the Russian Falun Gong Association went to the Singapore Embassy in Moscow and handed in a letter of appeal, requesting Singapore to cancel its unfair judgement. -
Norwegian Practitioners Support Practitioners in Singapore who were Jailed for Spreading Information about the Persecution
2005-05-08When news reached Norway that two female practitioners in Singapore had been jailed for spreading information about the six-year brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China, local practitioners wanted to help. So far, the Nordic Association has sent a letter to the Singapore Consulate in Oslo. Two practitioners went to the office of the consulate to express their concern and to deliver a letter from the Norwegian Association, together with information about Falun Gong and the persecution, information of the same kind that the accused women had spread in Singapore. They had a good conversation with a representative of the consulate who stayed after working hours to be informed. -

Xiong Wei called for support for Jiang Renzheng, who was deported to China by Germany and sentenced to a forced labour camp. The assembly passed a decision to demand the Chinese Government to immediately release Jiang Renzheng and urged the German Chancellor and Foreign Minister to guarantee Jiang and his family's safety through all kinds of diplomatic means. -
Turkey: Stories of New Practitioners

The largest Turkish TV station SHOW TV interviewed practitioners who were doing the Falun Gong exercises in an Ankara park and videotaped the group practice. On the same night, the station broadcasted the interview nationwide in its news hour. Through practitioners’ persistent efforts in the last several years, the Turkish people are gradually learning about Falun Gong. -
An Open Letter to the Singapore Government from the Spanish Falun Gong Association
2005-05-07Your nation’s recent unjust conviction of Falun Gong practitioners Ng Chye Huay and Cheng Lujin has raised a serious question mark over Singapore’s democracy and rule of law in the international community. Laws should be established based on morality and human conscience. They are used to maintain social fairness and justice, not for justifying self-interest. We believe Singapore is a signatory to the World Human Rights Declaration. The actions of two Falun Gong practitioners were in no way exceeding the scope of basic freedom of speech and belief, especially considering that Falun Gong is a registered legal group in Singapore. -
Spain: Introducing Falun Gong at Tacoronte City in the Canary Islands

Most of the people who practised the five exercises looked radiant afterwards. One lady said that her whole body felt easy and free. Another said that she would tell her husband to practise Falun Gong and would share this good thing she had found. A young girl said that this was the third time she had done the exercises and she felt great. -
France: Falun Gong Association Representative Invited to Armenian Rally

Chairman of the French Falun Gong Association was invited to a rally and press conference. Organised by the General Association of Armenian Descendants in France, the activities were entitled “Celebrate the 60th anniversary of the liberation from Nazi concentration camps and commensurate the 90th anniversary of the holocaust of Armenians in Turkey.” -
Spain: Practitioners hold Activities to Commemorate April 25th 1999

On April the 25th, Spanish Falun Gong practitioners held a photo exhibition at Socodover Square in Toledo city centre to commemorate the 6th anniversary of the April 25th peaceful appeal. They showed the peace and beauty of Falun Gong and the persecution practitioners are suffering in China, and they called on people to be concerned and make efforts to stop this persecution. -
Letter from Nordic Falun Dafa Association to the Norway Singapore Consul
2005-05-06There are today court cases in some 20 different countries against the former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin and his collaborators. They face charges of torture, crimes against humanity and genocide. These cases are according to the development of international law. The Swedish Government for instance plans to allow for court proceedings in Sweden against such crimes, independent of where they are carried out – a plan in the spirit of Martin Luther King jr: “A threat to justice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” -

There are already six practice sites in Ankara where Turkish people can learn the Falun Gong exercises for free and then practise together with other Falun Gong practitioners. More and more Turkish people have become practitioners; more and more people have been paying attention to Falun Gong and calling for an end to the persecution. -
Slovakia: People of Partizanske show Support for Falun Gong Practitioners’ Human Rights

People in Partizanske found it hard to believe that these popular exercises could be the target of persecution, even though the older generation could remember the harm caused by the communists in Slovakia. People advised us wholeheartedly to stay longer, because there was going to be a cultural event in the city that afternoon. -
Russia: Activity in Moscow on the 6th Anniversary of the “4.25” Appeal

On April 25th 2005, a group of Moscow Falun Gong practitioners held activities in the north-east district of Moscow City to commemorate of the 6th anniversary of the “4.25” peaceful appeal outside Zhongnanhai. Banners and photo boards were displayed to let the public know about the persecution happening to Falun Gong practitioners in China. -
Finland: Practitioners Call for an End to the Persecution on the Sixth Anniversary of the April 25th Incident

Practitioners held a photo exhibition in Helsinki, in memory of the sixth anniversary of the “4.25” incident when 10,000 practitioners peacefully went to the Appeals Office in Zhongnanhai to tell the Chinese authorities about the human rights abuses against Falun Gong. Many people were shocked and concerned after seeing the astonishing photos of persecuted practitioners.
