Continuous Persecution in Jilin Prison leads to Death of Falun Gong Practitioner Mr Cui Weidong

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Cui Weidong wrote a solemn declaration in Jilin Prison stating that all the guarantees to stop practising Falun Gong he made under the persecution were done so against his will and therefore null and void. After nearly four months of persecution, the prison authorities allowed him to be released on bail for medical treatment, but with the condition that he write a guarantee to give up Falun Gong. Cui Weidong rejected this demand. The prison hospital sent Mr. Cui back to a prison cell in August 2004. In less than a month, his condition worsened and he died on September 10. -
Anhui Province Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Jiang Lingsheng Dies from Torture-Induced Disease
2004-10-28Anhui Province Dafa practitioner Mr Jiang Lingsheng was healed of leukemia through the practice of Falun Dafa. In December 1999, Mr. Jiang Lingsheng went to Beijing to appeal and to share with the government his firsthand experience of Falun Gong practice and the tremendous benefits it had brought him. However the authorities would not listen to his story and instead arrested and detained him. In May 2001 he was arrested in Tongling City for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong and was sentenced to three years of forced labour in Anhui Province and was not allowed to practise Falun Dafa. His old illness recurred and he died on August 3, 2001. -
The Torture I Suffered in Beijing's Lugouqiao Police Station (Illustrations)
2004-10-27In August 2001, when my mother and I went to Beijing to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa, plainclothes policemen on Tiananmen Square abducted us and detained us for 24 hours. Then they sent me to Beijing Lugouqiao Police Station, where I suffered inhuman and atrocious torture. Several policemen kicked me until I fell face down on the floor, and then they turned my head over and stomped on my face with their leather-soled shoes. -
68 Year Old Practitioner Mo Jiaying from Guangxi Province Died as a Result of the Persecution
2004-10-27Ms. Mo Jiaying, 68 years old, was a Falun Fong practitioner from Guangxi Province. In 2001 when she was posting Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials, she was arrested again and was detained at a Brainwashing Centre. As she refused to give up practising Falun Gong, she was then illegally sent to three years of forced labour at the Nanning Forced Labour Camp. When she was sent back home in March, 2003 she was already at the brink of death. She died tragically on March 20, 2004. -
Practitioners Ms Zhang Guiqin and Mr Qiao Yanqing from Jilin City Die from Persecution
2004-10-27Ms. Zhang Guiqin lived in Jilin City, Jilin Province. Prior to her retirement, she was the vice principal of No. 39 Middle School of Jilin City. Due to the persecution, she sustained grave mental and physical trauma. She passed away on December 9, 2003. Mr. Qiao Yanqing was born in 1941, and was a senior engineer at the Jilin City Refrigerator Factory. He also lived in Jilin City, Jilin Province. In late January 2001, before the Chinese New Year, he went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa. He was arrested at the Beijing Train Station as soon as he got off the train and sent back to Jilin City where he was tortured by enforcers from the "610 Office" and the police. He passed away not long after on January 30. -
61 Year Old Falun Gong Practitioner Li Chunwen from Hebei Province Persecuted to Death
2004-10-26Mr. Li Chunwen, sixty-one years of age, was from Hebei Province. Just a few days after Mr. Li learned Falun Gong, rheumatic heart disease disappeared. Li Chunwen told everyone he met, "I could have lost my life a long time ago, if I had not practised Falun Gong." Since the persecution began Li Chunwen tried to go to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong. He was arrested and since then suffered relentless mental and physical torment over the years, whilst in detention and when at home. He became so weak and thin that he would fall down frequently. He could not breathe properly and his internal organs were constantly in pain. In this condition, his life lasted until June 10, 2004. On that day, Li Chunwen fell down unconscious and died. -
Mr. Chen Heping, a Falun Dafa Practitioner from Hubei Province, Dies from Prolonged Persecution
2004-10-26Hubei Province Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Chen Heping was 53 years old. In 2000, he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. The "610 Office" arrested him and sentenced him to two years in Shayang Forced Labour Camp. While in the labour camp, he was subjected to many tortures and forced to do hard labour. He was released on medical parole when his health deteriorated. In October 2003, he was unjustly brought to a brainwashing centre and persecuted until he became very frail. Due to the prolonged period of harassment and physical torture, Mr. Chen Heping passed away on October 15, 2004. -
Ms. Zhao Qiumei Brutally Beaten by a Group of Policemen in the Changchun Hezuizi Labour Camp (Photos)

On February 14, 2003, some policemen called Falun Dafa practitioner Ms Zhao Qiumei to the guards' room and cruelly beat her. After the beating, someone had to help Zhao Qiumei walk back to her room. Her hands were swollen, black and blue, and her right eye and right eyebrow were bleeding. She could not raise her right arm. Her left leg was lame. -
Ms. Li Xuewei Is Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison after Four Years of Persecution
2004-10-26Ms. Li Xuewei lived in Japan for seven years. In February 2000, when she went to visit her relatives in China, she was arrested for having a "Falun Dafa in Japan" newspaper with her. The Chinese authorities illegally detained, tortured and threatened her. They revoked her passport, thus preventing her from returning to Japan with her husband. After suffering four years of persecution, she was unjustly sentenced to seven years in prison on September 21, 2004. -
A Practitioner Recounts the Torture She Experienced at the Yuegezhuang Police Station
2004-10-25One night in July of 2001, the police brought several of us Falun Dafa practitioners to the Yuegezhuang Police Station and five to six policemen used cruel and despicable means to try to force us to confess to crimes we had not committed. They handcuffed my hands behind the back of the chair. Then they passed an electric baton through the handcuffs, catching one end of the baton on the arm of the chair, and pressed the other end forcefully, making me cry out in such pain that my voice filled the night sky. -

The Life of Falun Dafa Practitioners in the Liaoyang Forced Labour Camp: Torture and Excessive Workloads, but Some Guards Understand the Truth
2004-10-25"On January 29, 2004, I was transferred from Tieling Forced Labour Camp to Liaoyang Forced Labour Camp, where the persecutors continued to torture me. Right after I arrived, Section Head Zou read through every detained practitioner's file and came up with an individual torture plan for each practitioner. For the female practitioners, the perpetrators used high-voltage electric batons to shock them, forced them to stay awake for long periods of time, and forced them to perform heavy physical labour for over 20 hours a day. This kind of abuse lasted for more than 8 months." -
The Brutal Torture Methods at the Wangcun Forced Labour Camp in Shandong Province (Photos)
2004-10-25The guards in Wangcun Forced Labour Camp cruelly tortured Li Deshan, a practitioner, because he would not give up practising Falun Gong. His hands were handcuffed to one bed and his feet to another bed. Then the beds were pulled in opposite directions. The pain was terrible and his body was stretched to the breaking point. Li Deshan died about a year later in August 2002. His death came as a result of these inhuman tortures. He suffered long-term sleep deprivation, brutal beatings, being hung up and beaten, public humiliation, and being force-fed with water and alcohol. -
Mr Li Junqing from Yunnan Province Dies from Torture at the Yinmahe Forced Labour Camp
2004-10-24Falun Dafa practitioner Lu Huiyi's husband, Li Junqing, a non-practitioner, was arrested in Yanji on July 13, 2002 for possession of Falun Gong truth clarification material. Yinmahe Forced Labour Camp called Lu Huiyi to tell her, "Li Junqing had diabetes and was sick for four days. He was sent to a hospital but the doctors couldn't revive him. He passed away at around 4:00 a.m. on December 17, 2002." The truth is Li Junqing never had diabetes in his life. -
Sixty-Five Year Old Ms. Xiao Hongxiu Tortured to Death in the Chongqing City Women's Prison
2004-10-24Sixty-five year old Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Xiao Hongxiu was subjected to physical and mental torture by prison police for a long period of time. The abuse included injecting her with unknown medicine even though she had no illness; forced labour; not allowing her to rest even though she was extremely weak from the long-term abuse, and forcing her to remain standing all day long when she was too weak to work. Ms. Xiao lost consciousness several times while doing forced labour, until she finally died in Yongchuan Prison on July 25, 2004.
