Falun Dafa Practitioner Liu Decai and His Daughter Persecuted - A Happy Family is Shattered
2005-08-12
After the persecution began on July 20th 1999, Mr. Liu Decai was subjected to body searches by the police, even in the hallway to his own home. His civil rights were severely violated. Around March 2004, officers from the Dehui City Police Department knocked on his door. At that time, only Mr. Liu's wife was at home. When she saw the group of suspicious people on her doorstep looking like bandits, she was so scared that she suffered a heart attack. She then became bedridden; medical treatment had no effect. She passed away in April 2004. -
57 Year Old Ms. Zhan Ye'an from Guizhou Province Was Paralysed and Died from Torture in a Labour Camp
2005-08-11Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhan Ye'an was an employee of the Guiyng City Medical Institute in Guizhou Province. For exposing the persecution and telling people the truth about Falun Dafa she was arrested and held in the Guizhou Province Women's Labour Camp. She became emaciated and paralysed from torture over a long period of time. She was finally sent home because she was dying at the end of May 2005. She died on June 16th 2005. -
Falun Dafa Practitioners from Chongqing City Ms. Yuan Suxian Tortured to Death and Ms. Liu Fanqin Disabled
2005-08-11Ms. Yuan Suxian was detained in a detention centre in Chongqing City and was tortured to death on July 30th 2005. Details of her death are unclear, pending an investigation. Another Falun Dafa practitioner from Chongqing City Ms. Liu Fanqin has been also detained in the same detention centre because she was involved in exposing the rape case of Ms. Wei Xingyan, a graduate student in Chongqing University. Her hands were badly injured during torture, and she has lost the use of her hands. -
Daqing Prison Responsible for Three Deaths in Three Consecutive Months
2005-08-11On the evening of July 23rd Dafa practitioner Mr. Yuan Qingjiang died from long time persecution by wardens in Daqing Prison. This is the third death in the last three months following the deaths of Wang Hongde and Xu Jishan. After May 1st, the prison aggravated the persecution of practitioners, and over 10 practitioners were forced to hold a hunger strike, for which they were tortured brutally. In early May, Mr. Yuan Qingjiang was tortured for over 10 days, during which he was brutally force-fed. Mr. Yuan then vomited blood and suffered from liver hardening and other illnesses. He was extremely emaciated and had a terrible appearance. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Mu Xiangjie Shares Her Firsthand Experiences of Persecution
2005-08-11"My name is Mu Xiangjie and I live in Tianjin City. In September 2000, I appealed for justice for Falun Dafa in Tiananmen Square and was arrested. The police sent me to the Tiananmen Police Department and beat me fiendishly because I refused to get into their car. They beat me until I couldn't move my upper body, except for my arms. I escaped from the police department. Later I was again arrested and sent to the Hongqiao Detention Centre in Tianjin. I held a hunger strike and was forced-fed. I was then unjustly sentenced to two years of forced labour." -
Fifteen-Year-Old Girl Died After Police Persecuted Her Family in 2003
2005-08-10Police arrested the parents of 15-year old Wang Wei, of Fuyu, Heilongjiang Province. Without cause the parents were illegally arrested, detained and harassed at their home. When Wang Wei returned home, she saw that her parents weren't there and the house was in a state of disarray. The police threatened her and ordered her to give up her practice of Falun Dafa. During the 15 days when her parents were detained, she had to live by herself. Because of this sudden change and the isolation she felt, fear and depression took hold of her. Fear and depression became a sickness, and she became thinner and weaker each day. Before she died, she wanted to see her mother, but the police refused her. In March 2003, Wang Wei, still in her teenage years, passed away. -
The Circumstances Surrounding Ms. Li Baojie's Torture Death Come to Light
2005-08-10Ms. Li Baojie, 34 years old, lived in Liaoning Province. Since she continued to practise Falun Gong after the persecution began, she was arrested by the police many times. In August 2004, she was reported while distributing leaflets exposing the persecution. Police officers from Panjin City went to Dalian City and brought Li Baojie and her husband back to Panjin City. Both of them were then sentenced to three years of forced labour and detained in the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp. After suffering extended indignity and torture, Ms. Li was tortured to death on April 8, 2005. -
Eyewitness Describes the Torture that Led to the Death of Ms. Liu Limei, an Associate Professor at Northeast Agricultural University
2005-08-10“I was one of four practitioners arrested in April, 2002. I was imprisoned along with Ms. Liu Limei in the Wanjia Forced Labour Camp Hospital. When I first saw Liu Limei, she had already been on a hunger strike for 6 months. She was extremely thin. Her voice was very weak. Once, a police officer was force-feeding her, and I saw her nose bleeding. She was out of breath, but the police still force-fed her. On August 12th 2003, Ms. Liu Limei died in the Forced Labour Camp. On August 12th 2003, Ms. Liu Limei died in the Forced Labour Camp.” -
"610 Office" Staff in Sichuan Province Defame Falun Dafa
2005-08-10"610 Office" staff lured Ms Tang Yichun with 200 yuan and the promise that they would take care of her medical expenses in the future. She was told to go to the highway. Her husband Liu Jiajie was the school director of the Township in 1975. He was punished and sent to farm in his hometown because they had violated the one-child policy. Because they were sent to farm, Tang Yichun became mentally unstable and had remained in this condition for 25 years. The "610 Office" had Tang Yichun come to the highway and told her to wave and jump and say, "I went insane because of practising Falun Gong." A reporter from Weiyuan Television Station recorded Tang Yichun and created a programme that was broadcast repeatedly in Weiyuan County. -
Practitioner Ms. Wang Ying Injected with Unknown Drugs Against Her Will at Brainwashing Class in Jilin City
2005-08-09Due to Ms. Wang's refusal to cooperate with the unjust abduction, three policemen dragged her into the vehicle and stomped on her lower arms, belly, calves, and her feet, caused her whole left hand and lower arm to be covered with bruises and become numb. Her right foot swelled up alarmingly. Inside the brainwashing class, Ms. Wang started a hunger strike to protest the persecution. On the eleventh day of her hunger strike, the 610 Office ordered her to be injected with unknown drugs twice in one day, with the excuse of injecting glucose. The drugs caused her whole body to shiver, and she could not think straight. -
What Were Tsinghua University Authorities "Checking Out" at the Shandong Women's Prison?
2005-08-09Ms. Liu Zhimei is 25 years old. She had been mentally and physically tortured for refusing to give up her belief, finally agreed to be "transformed". She greatly desired to be readmitted to Tsinghua University and resume her studies. University staff came to the prison to assure that she had been truly transformed. They did not believe that she was, so they decided against readmitting her. From this incident, one can tell that Tsinghua University is like the prison when it comes to brainwashing. -
Gong Piqi and Wife Sun Dongxia Arrested and Home Ransacked in Shandong Province
2005-08-09Practitioners Mr. Gong Piqi and his wife Sun Dongxia were arrested two months ago. Ms. Sun Dongxia, who may have been sentenced to a ten-year prison term, is currently in the detention centre and suffering from maltreatment. She started a hunger strike to protest the persecution during her detention and endured torture from other inmates. She was so weak and thin that the police did not allow her family members to visit her. Mr. Gong Piqi is currently detained in the brainwashing class and has become so weak that he is unable to walk without help from others. -
Murder of Practitioner Mr Yang Lichuang from Gansu Province
2005-08-08Around July 1st 2005, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Yang Lichuang from Gansu Province was deceived into returning to his workplace by the leaders of the workplace. The County Party School was promoting the movement, "Maintain the advanced nature of party members" at that time. That night, Mr. Yang was inhumanly persecuted and tortured to death. His body was thrown into a cellar. The leaders of his workplace lied to his family members, alleging that Mr. Yang picked up three months worth of salary checks and skipped town. They said that they wanted his family to persuade him to return to work. About a week later, local residents found the body in a cellar. Details of Yang Lichuang's death are currently being investigated. -
Practitioner Mr Hu Shaowei in Poor Health, Has Scabies and Is Almost Blind, But the Huludao Forced Labour Camp Still Detains Him
2005-08-08After being persecuted in the Huludao Forced Labour Camp for more than a year, Mr. Hu Shaowei, a 35-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Huludao City, Liaoning Province, has scabies all over his body and is almost blind. His family members asked the forced labour camp to release him on medical grounds; but the camp authorities responded that Mr. Hu cannot be released until he renounces his belief. -
Practitioners Persecuted for Holding a Minghui School; the Situation Is Critical
2005-08-08Since May of 2005, some districts in Shandong Province have tried to hold Minghui schools for young practitioners. They held a Minghui trial school where 50 young practitioners attended. On the afternoon of July 20th someone reported them to the police. The police sent the young practitioners home but kept all their belongings, especially their homework and identification cards. The Laiwu police arrested Liu Faling and Feng Aimin. The authorities are persecuting them at the Laiwu City Detention Centre. Some practitioners have been forced to leave home because of this incident.
