Beijing Dafa Practitioner Mr Liu Yongwang Has Again Been Detained and His Life Is in Danger

Mr. Liu Yongwang has been on a hunger strike to protest the persecution since he was once again detained on August 24th, 2005 in a detention centre. The police have force-fed him every day to torture him and his life is in danger. Currently he has to rely on other people's support in order to walk. His legs, which had been disabled due to prior police abuse, started to ache again throughout the night. We urgently ask everyone to help Liu Yongwang. We hope that international organisations will investigate this case and help to free Mr. Liu immediately. -
The 610 Office in Shandong Province Persecutes Practitioners During the National Holiday
2005-10-25Days before China's National Day, October 1st, 2005, the 610 Office in Mengyin County, Shandong Province posted slogans that read "oppose cults, maintain stability, promote progress" and printed a coloured pamphlet entitled "Achievements of Chinese Communist Party's Mengyin County 610 Office." Several hundred copies were printed by the 610 Office and the local police. This pamphlet bragged about the 610 Office's "political achievements" in persecuting Falun Gong since July 20th, 1999. -
Female Falun Gong Practitioners Sexually Abused in Dalian Forced Labour Camp
2005-10-25"The police officers in Dalian Forced Labour Camp instructed the criminal detainees to torture female practitioners by abusing them sexually. The criminal inmates were ordered to strip off the female practitioner's clothes, cuff their hands and feet spread eagle. Then they stuffed pepper into their genitals, inserted mop handles into their genitals, or pushed three tooth brushes tied together in three different directions into their genitals and rotated them for a long time." -
Elderly Nursery Principal Ms. Cai Shufen in Dalian Died Due to Persecution
2005-10-25Over the course of 6 years of persecution, 65-year-old Ms Cai Shufen suffered intense pressure and pain due to the harassment from the officers at the police stations and local officials. In June 2005, the Xianglujiao Police Department announced that they would arrest her again; she and her family were under much pressure. On September 1st, 2005, she passed away. -
Six Dafa Practitioners from Hebei, Heilongjiang, and Henan Provinces Die as a Result of Persecution
2005-10-2559-year-old Ms. Zhao Xiuzhu was sent to brainwashing sessions, because she often told the facts of Falun Dafa to people who had been misled by the government propaganda in the education system and to all of the leaders. On December 15th, 1999, Ms. Zhao left home by herself and went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. She was imprisoned, her family's property was confiscated, and she was tracked and harassed many times. Whenever a politically sensitive date approached, she was harassed repeatedly. On August 26th, 2005, she passed away. -
The CCP Intensifies Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners in Chongqing during the Fifth Asia-Pacific Cities Summit
2005-10-24Days before the Fifth Asia-Pacific Cities Summit was to be held in Chongqing, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) "cracked down" on people who might have protested during the event. The CCP regularly monitors and arrests Chinese citizens during important events or sensitive dates. In preparation for the summit, Chongqing Special Steel Company workers who have been laid off without compensation and Falun Gong practitioners, particularly practitioners who have been detained, persecuted and forced into brainwashing sessions, were followed and supervised 24 hours a day. -
Mengyin County Local 610 Office Details How They Persecuted Falun Gong
2005-10-24Recently, in order to claim credit from higher authorities in persecuting Falun Gong, Mengyin County Party Committee published a report entitled, "Work Report of the 610 Office of Mengyin County Chinese Communist Party Committee" to highlight their "achievement" in persecuting Falun Gong. The report, printed in colour, summarised how Falun Gong has been persecuted since July 20th, 1999, and how much money was spent to "transform" and brainwash practitioners. The report contains three parts: prologue, details about Falun Gong, and work in progress. -
Eight Falun Dafa Practitioners in Hunan, Shaanxi, and Hebei Provinces Died as a Result of Persecution
2005-10-24Ms. Su Shukun was 78 years old and lived with her daughter. In November 2000, Ms. Su went to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Dafa and was sent to a forced labour camp. She was subjected to various tortures, leaving her with deteriorating health. In July 2002, her daughter was arrested and sent to a forced labour camp because of distributing Dafa leaflets exposing the persecution. Ms. Su was so devastated and exhausted by the ongoing persecution that her old illnesses returned. Ms. Su Shukun died on August 8th, 2003. -
Three Elderly Practitioners from Hebei, Shanxi, and Liaoning Provinces Died Due to the Persecution
2005-10-2480-year-old Ms. Jiao Xiuying was harassed many times and her home was ransacked; three of her family members were sentenced because they refused to renounce Falun Gong. One night in October 2002, a group of policemen (about 20) broke into her house and ransacked it. The sudden trauma caused Ms. Jiao to collapse. She was helped to bed but was never able to get up again. A few days later, the policemen deceived and detained her daughter. Jiao Xiuying passed away in November 2002. -
Three Years After Liu Xiwen Died, His Family Continues to Suffer Harassment

Mr. Liu Xiwen was a retired teacher. Since the persecution began, Liu was continuously harassed and mistreated by lawless officials from his previous school. After he went to appeal in Beijing in December 2000, the persecution he endured escalated. Suffering severe injury to body and mind, Liu finally passed away on May 20th, 2002. Before this, he had been exiled for fourteen months and eighteen months of his salary was confiscated. -
The Longsha Police Branch in Qiqihar Arrested Nearly 100 Falun Gong Practitioners in March 2005
2005-10-23At the beginning of March, two female Falun Gong practitioners were distributing leaflets exposing the persecution. The surveillance camera caught them. The police followed them and then started large-scale arrests. The police then subjected every arrested Falun Gong practitioner to strappado and many other forms of torture. [Note: The strappado is a form of torture in which a victim is suspended in the air by means of a rope attached to his hands which are tied behind his back.] Those Falun Gong practitioners who suffered this torture lost the ability to look after themselves. -
Exposing the Inhumanity of the Luotai Villa Provincial Brainwashing Centre in Fushun City (Photo)
2005-10-23The Liaoning Provincial government gave the Luotai Villa Provincial Brainwashing Centre in Fushun City 1.4 million yuan ($171,000). It is used to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. To deceive the public, this brainwashing centre is called the "Liaoning Provincial Caring and Loving Centre" or the "Fushun Municipal Legal Education Centre." It has been expanded in scale several times after the first session was launched in March 2003. -
Crimes Committed in the Xinkaipu Forced Labour Camp
2005-10-23All Falun Dafa practitioners sent to Xinkaipu Labour Camp in Hunan Province are forced to take off all their clothes and are searched as soon as they arrive. They are then immediately isolated. If the practitioner goes on a hunger strike to resist the persecution, guards order the monitors to tie the practitioner to the operation table in the clinic. Dr. Yu in the labour camp then pries open his mouth with an expander. He turns the screw rods to hold the jaws open. Then he clamps the practitioner's tongue with a surgery grip. He inserts a bamboo tube into the mouth, and fills it with fluid, such as gruel or soup mixed with the rhizome of Chinese goldthread, an herb that tastes extremely bitter, salt or chilli powder. -
Lawless Officials from Shandong Province Arrest Many Falun Dafa Practitioners
2005-10-22Recently, Diao Dechang of the Police Bureau of Luancheng City, was appointed director of the police bureau in Guan County, Shandong Province. He has declared publicly that he will eradicate Falun Gong. He said that the whole county would work together to "meet, visit, register, search, and arrest" Falun Dafa practitioners (especially those who had previously been arrested or sentenced) during the October 1st holiday. -
Six-Year Persecution of Practitioner Ms. Zhang Jingyu From Hubei Province
2005-10-22Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Jingyu was persecuted numerous times during the last six years. She whas been detained seven times in this period, each time tortured and treated in the most inhuman way. When she went on a hunger strike to protest the unjust treatment she was brutally force-fed by several men. They slapped her with such brute force that her face turned red. Eventually they were able to insert the tube. They force-fed her the same way in the following days. The tube scarred her throat and caused great pain.
