Brutality of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP): Facial Injuries Due to Beatings and Torture

Mr. Qiu Qinghua was persecuted many times for practising Falun Gong. He passed away on October 12th due to repeated persecution. In January 2006, Mr. Qiu was put into Zhangshi Brainwashing Centre in Shenyang for distributing Falun Gong leaflets exposing the persecution. Policeman Feng Dongchang from the Liaozhong County National Security Team poured a glass of cold water into his ear, causing purulent infection in his lower ear, which eventually led to severe meningitis. He was unable to recognise his family and was on the verge of death. -
Ms. Wang Hong Tortured at Benxi Prison
2011-12-18Ms. Wang Hong was arrested on May 24th, 2008 and sentenced to four years in prison. At the end of December 2008, she was transferred to the Benxi Prison. Tian Yong, Chief of the First Division of Benxi Prison arranged eight or nine prisoners to torture Ms. Wang Hong. Ms. Wang is still being detained there. Ms. Wang Hong was forced to sit on a stool. On the top of the stool, two floor boards with 5 cm width joint to form an edge with a 60 degree angle. They put an ashtray on her head and put burning cigarettes on top. If Ms. Wang could not hold still, the prisoners kicked her upper back. Ms. Wang had difficulty breathing due to the cigarette smoke. -
Police from Xian County Arrest and Brutally Beat Citizens
2011-12-18Several police in Xian County, Hebei, climbed over a fence, broke into the home of Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Wenzhao’s father-in-law, stole valuable items, and beat family members. They also arrested and brutally beat Mr. Li Wenzhao, his wife’s brother Mr. Wang Fuqiang, and his wife’s underage nephew Mr. Wang Xuejian. Even though the police have released these three, they still harass them now and then. -
Retired Teacher of Beijing Normal University Robbed by Police Again
2011-12-18Retired Teacher Ms. Guo Yulan, 67,lives in Beijing. Because she cultivates Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, the Changping police made plans to arrest her again on November 17th. They also took a large amount of personal property from her home. Ms. Guo’s resident registration is in Haidian. Local police officer in the Haidian District picked her up and took her to the detention centre on April 21st, 2009. Ms. Guo was released that night. Afterwards the police put her name on an Internet watch list. -
Mr. Sun Jiefeng and Mr. Deng Tiansheng Face Trial in Shenzhen City
2011-12-18Mr. Sun Jiefeng and Mr. Deng Tiansheng have been detained since they were arrested in April 2011. Longgang District Court officials will attempt to put the two practitioners on trial next week (between Dec 11th and 17th) with a charge of “undermining law enforcement.” When police didn't find Falun Gong informational materials while searching Mr. Deng's residence, they severely beat him to get him to confess that a CD burner confiscated from another place was his. Thus the police had a piece of “evidence” to detain Mr. Deng. -
Outstanding Teacher Ms. Ye Zhongqiu Sentenced Again
2011-12-17After schoolteacher Ms. Ye Zhongqiu began to practise Falun Gong, she became very kind-hearted and upright, and her students liked her very much in turn. In 2003, Ms. Ye made use of an opportunity of students' working on a paper to explain the facts about Falun Gong and reveal the lies fabricated under Jiang Zemin's, [former leader of China and instigator of the persecution] regime. The principal of the school received a report from another teacher about what Ms. Ye was doing. Ms. Ye was arrested and taken to the No. 4 Detention Centre in Shenyang City. Ms. Ye was sentenced to five years' imprisonment, and dismissed from her position at the school. Ms. Ye was arrested again in 2010 and the court sentenced her to three years of imprisonment. -
Three Falun Gong Practitioners Sent to Forced Labour Camp
2011-12-17On July 6th, 2011, Ms. Gao Meiying, Mr. Zheng Zengchen, and Ms. Wu Hongyan talked to people about how wonderful Falun Gong is and the injustice of the persecution. However, someone who had been deceived by all the false propaganda against Falun Gong reported the three practitioners to the police. The police arrested the three practitioners and took them to the Fuxing District Police Station. The three practitioners refused to give up their belief, so the police sent the practitioners to a forced labour camp. -
Ms. Yang Shukun from Laizhou City, Shandong Province, Transferred to Three Brainwashing Centres
2011-12-17Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yang Shukun was arrested at home on October 17th, by more than ten officers. She was first sent to the Dianzi Brainwashing Centre and then transferred to Yantai Brainwashing Centre. Ms. Yang is currently detained in the Zhaoyuan Brainwashing Centre. Her husband and son asked to visit her, but the regime agents used excuses to shirk their responsibilities. -
Ms. Rong Dehuan from Bazhou City, Hebei Province Arrested and Taken to a Brainwashing Centre
2011-12-17Police broke into Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Rong Dehuan's home and took her to the Langfang Brainwashing Centre. She has not been released. Her mother, in her 70s, went to the town government almost daily to request a visit with her daughter, but Sun and Cao threatened her. With Ms. Rong's mother's strong request, the government staff had to let her meet with her daughter once at the brainwashing centre. -
Ms. Zhao Yanxia, 55, Murdered After 23 Days of Imprisonment
2011-12-16On October 7th, Ms. Zhao Yanxia was tortured to death in the Jilin Province Women's Prison.. The area around her eyes was black and blue and she had bruises that clearly resulted from beatings. Ms. Zhao had only been transferred to this prison 23 days before. In order to cover up the true cause of death, the prison authorities told several lies. Initially, they said that a physical exam found that Ms. Zhao had high blood pressure and heart problems when being admitted to the prison. If true, why had they admitted her? Later, they said that Ms. Zhao wanted to commit suicide. And again later, they said that one can pass away while sleeping. Finally, they said that Ms. Zhao lay down at 7:00 p.m. and didn't pull through afterwards. -
Mr. Zhang Guihao Tortured to Death in a Shandong Brainwashing Centre
2011-12-16On November 11th, Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Guihao was arrested at home by three plainclothes officers from the Zhaoyuan Domestic Security Division. The police ransacked his home and confiscated a computer, a DVD player, a photo of the founder of Falun Gong, and other personal belongings. He was later taken to the Lingnan Gold Mine Brainwashing Centre. His family went to the brainwashing centre inquiring about his whereabouts and the centre authorities refused to tell them. On November 30th, Mr. Zhang was tortured to death. The next day, his family was notified of his death only after the brainwashing centre authorities had a secret meeting. -
Ms. Fan Shude from Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province Arrested and Tortured Again
2011-12-16Ms. Fan Shude, 57, was plagued with many illnesses before she practised Falun Gong. However, all of her illnesses soon disappeared after she began practising. She has been arrested and tortured five times because of her belief. In 2007, Ms. Fan was sentenced to one and a half years in Qianjin Forced Labour Camp, where she was tortured for over eight months. During this period of time, guards injected her with unknown drugs. About 50 practitioners were arrested by police on November 13th. Ms. Fan was also arrested. She was severely tortured and taken to a hospital for treatment. -
Ms. Pan Sujuan and Her Husband Imprisoned, Their Three-Year-Old Son Loses His Parents
2011-12-16Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Pan Sujuan was sentenced to prison in Beijing. She was recently taken to the Zhejiang Province Women's Prison. Her son, who is only three years old, now lives with his invalid grandmother. On July 24th, 2009, Ms. Pan was reported for distributing Falun Gong DVDs at a market in Beijing. She was arrested by police. Since she was still breastfeeding her son, the police released her on bail pending trial for one year. On July 25th, 2009, police deceived Ms. Pan's husband, Mr. Ran Fengyun, also a practitioner, into going to the Haidian Detention Centre to bail Ms. Pan out. Mr. Ran was arrested and taken to Tumuji Forced Labour Camp in Inner Mongolia to serve a two-and-a-half-year term of forced labour. -
Mr. Mao Danxin, Former Deputy Director of the Kunming Steel Construction Company in Yunnan Province, Arrested Again
2011-12-15On November 11th, Mr. Mao Danxin, after many years of being homeless and travelling from place to place, was arrested by the police. They confiscated his computer, printer and other personal belongings. Mr. Mao Danxin is now detained in the Guandu District Detention Centre. Since the persecution began in 1999, Mr. Mao was arrested, had his home ransacked, was detained, suffered forced labour, and was sentenced to prison terms multiple times. He has been forced into homelessness and has had to wander about for many years. His parents passed away under the stress of deep worry about their son. His arrest put his wife and children in a very difficult situation. -
Firsthand Account of the Inhumane Conditions at Hebei Province Women's Forced Labour Camp
2011-12-15Once a practitioner enters the forced labour camp, that night she is not allowed to sleep and the collaborators attempt to “transform” [forcibly renounce Falun Gong] her all night long. Guards take turns yelling at her, and if she does not give up, she will be forced to stand for the entire night and not allowed to sleep, wash, or use the toilet, even on summer days when it is 30 or 40 degrees Celsius. If she still does not give up, she will be handcuffed and they will try to hold her hand to force a finger print on a pre-written "statement." It is said that they are rewarded several tens of thousands of yuan for each “transformed” practitioner. The torture does not end with this forced “transformation.”
