  • Ukraine: People from Lugansk Condemn the Chinese Communist Regime's Cruel Persecution of Falun Gong

    On August 4th 2007, Falun Gong practitioners held activities in the downtown area of Lugansk, Ukraine to expose the Chinese Communist regime's eight-year-long brutal persecution of Falun Gong, including its atrocity of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners for profit. Many Lugansk residents signed the petition condemning the Chinese Communist regime's atrocities
  • Slovakia: Falun Gong Introduced in Velky Krtis and Rimavska Sobota

    Soon after the Falun Gong practitioners set up their information stand, people started to come to find out more and sign the petition calling for an end to the persecution. The petition was signed by about 200 people in Velky Krtis. Small children offered to help with giving out the flyers and were also interested in learning the five sets of of Falun Gong exercises.

    The art works were created by outstanding artists from different backgrounds. These artists obtained great improvements in body and spirit after practising Falun Dafa. Using traditional art techniques to present brightness, purity and compassion, they gave form to their understanding of life and their experiences of practising Dafa. Through their art works, they presented the yearning for goodness and harmony.

    "China has no special ‘right’ to practise discrimination against any of its religious minorities. Many political leaders who have visited China have asked the political leaders of the People’s Republic to respect human rights. Among these requests is that China respect the religious orientations of the Falun Gong belief."
  • United Kingdom: Divine Land Marching Band Parade in Edinburgh to Support Twenty Four Million People Quitting the CCP

    On August 4th 2007, the day before the Cavalcade marking the opening of the Edinburgh International Festival, the European Divine Land Marching Band, which is composed of Falun Gong practitioners from the U.K and other European countries, held a parade supporting the 24 million people who have quit the Chinese Communist Party.
  • Spain: Falun Gong Practitioners Seek Justice in Court

    Three Falun Gong practitioners from different countries testified in a Spanish court on July 30th 2007. They accused Chinese high ranking officials of genocide and cruel torture against Falun Gong practitioners. Spain’s largest free daily newspaper Twenty Minute thus interviewed these three practitioners in this regard. The paper reported that tens of thousands of innocent people were slaughtered by the Chinese Communist autocratic regime just because they follow the principles of “Truth, Compassion, and Tolerance”.
  • Poland: Promoting Falun Gong and Traditional Chinese Culture at the Tall Ships Races in Szczecin

    Falun Dafa practitioners from Poland and Germany were welcomed by event organizers to attend the Tall Ships Races 2007 in Szczecin, Poland. The organizers expect around 1.5 million visitors. Practitioners saw this as an excellent opportunity to let lots more people know about Falun Gong and the persecution against practitioners in China.
  • Bulgaria: Hundreds of People Signed a Petition Calling for an End to the Persecution

    Many locals and tourists gathered before the posters and asked many questions about the persecution and what Falun Gong is. Hundreds of petition signatures were gathered in only a few hours from people who wanted to call for an end to the persecution. Many people were shocked by the cruelty of the persecution. The event continued until late in the evening.
  • The Epoch Times: Global Human Rights Torch Relay Kicks Off in Athens

    As dusk sets in, people from all walks of life, from all over the world, gather together in a circle in front of a podium, holding up flags of their home countries. There are banners with strong statements: "Human Rights Abuse Cannot Co-exist with Beijing Olympics," reads one. "Stop Harvesting Organs From Living Humans," reads another.

    On the evening of August 9th 2007, the Global Human Rights Torch Relay was launched on Syntagma Square, in front of the Hellenic Parliament buildings in Athens, Greece, one year ahead of the Beijing 2008 Olympics. The ceremony launched the year-long journey of the "Global Human Rights Torch Relay."

    After reading a flier, a young girl said in shock, "Harvesting organs from living people! It is horrible! My hair is standing on end! I have to go to the Human Rights Torch ceremony!" An elderly gentleman took out a magnifying glass from his pocket and read the flier for a long time. He told the one who gave him the flier, "I have heard about the CCP's poor human rights record, but I had never thought it was so cruel. What you are doing is great! We Athenians support you!"

    Since 1999, a hundred million Falun Gong practitioners, who meditate and live by the principles Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance, were attacked as “Chinas public enemy number one.” About two thirds of people tortured in China are Falun Gong practitioners according to Manfred Novak, UN Special Rapporteur on Torture.
  • Greece: Athens Forum Asks How Crimes Against Humanity can be Allowed to Continue in a Nation about to Host the Olympics

    On August 7th 2007, experts gathered in Athens to attend an international forum entitled, "The Olympic Games vs. Crimes Against Humanity in China." The forum was held by the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong, the International Society for Human Rights, and the Association for Asia Research.
  • Ukraine: Exposing the CCP’s Crimes Against Humanity

    On July 28th 2007, Ukraine Falun Gong practitioners held activities in Constitution Square Harkov, to expose eight continuing years of cruel persecution against Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Two journalists from local television and radio station interviewed practitioners.
  • Greece: The Global Human Rights Torch Relay will be Launched in Athens

    It is expected that within a year’s time of the launch of the relay, the route of the human rights torch will cover more than a hundred cities in dozens of countries on five continents. The CIPFG hopes to raise the international community’s concern over the CCP’s human rights violations in China with the help of the human rights torch relay and to stop shame being brought to the Olympic Games.
