France: Peaceful Appeal at the Chinese Consulate in Marseilles on the Sixth Anniversary of July 20th
2005-07-30On July the 23rd and 24th, a group of French Falun Gong practitioners went to the Chinese Consulate in Marseilles to hold a peaceful petition and candlelight vigil. They commemorated the six years of illegal persecution against Falun Gong and over 2,600 dead Falun Gong practitioners who lost their lives in the persecution. -
Holland: Anti-Torture Exhibition in Utrecht Commemorates Six Years of Persecution
2005-07-30In order to protest that the persecution against Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has lasted for six years and to call for an immediate end to the persecution, Falun Gong practitioners from Holland and Belgium held an anti-torture exhibition in Utrecht in the central part of Holland. Sweden: People in Gothenburg Hope for an End to the Persecution
2005-07-29On the afternoon of the 20th of July, Swedish practitioners told people about the six years of human rights abuses that have taken the lives of over 2,600 Falun Gong practitioners in China and have ruined the lives of thousands and thousands of others who have lost their jobs, homes and families because they refused to renounce their beliefs. -
Finland: Calling for an End to Persecution Against Falun Gong on July 20th
2005-07-29On July 20th, Finnish practitioners peacefully protested at the Chinese Embassy, calling for an end to the six years of brutal persecution against people who live by the principles of “Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance”. On July 20th six years ago, former Chinese Communist Party leader Jiang Zemin launched a campaign of persecution against Falun Gong. -
United Kingdom: The 20th of July — A Day We Will Never Forget
2005-07-29On the 20th of July six years ago, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), headed by Jiang Zemin, launched a systematic and widespread persecution against Falun Gong. Many practitioners were illegally arrested and imprisoned, put into re-education through labour camps and subjected to cruel forms of torture. Over 2,600 have lost their lives. -

France: Anti-Torture Exhibition to Raise Awareness in Caen
2005-07-29We set up a display stand and anti-torture exhibition in a park in the city centre. It was a sunny and breezy weekend, with passers-by streaming through. The anti-torture exhibition, in which practitioners simulated the methods of torture used against Falun Gong practitioners in China by the communist authorities, deeply touched the hearts of passers-by. -
Austria: Practitioners Commemorate Six Years the Lives Lost in Six Years of Persecution
2005-07-28On July 20th 2005, the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution against Falun Gong practitioners entered its seventh year. Austrian practitioners gathered in Vienna’s Stephansplatz to commemorate the victims and to let the Austrian people know about the human rights abuses that have been happening in China every day since 1999. -

Russia: Practitioners in Irkutsk held a Rally on July 20th to Call for an End to the Persecution
2005-07-28On July 20th 2005, the Russian practitioners in Irkutsk held a rally at the statue of Alexander III to call for an end to the brutal persecution against Falun Gong. During the rally, some practitioners demonstrated the exercises and others distributed leaflets. Passers-by all stopped to watch the photo exhibition of the cruel methods used in the persecution. -

Thousands upon thousands of people go to the streets to watch the celebrations and many people from other provinces also come to the busy capital to take part in the festivities. During this national holiday, Falun Gong practitioners went to Paris to promote Falun Gong. -

2005-07-27On July 20th 2005, Russian Falun Gong practitioners held a peaceful rally in the square in front of the Moscow Palace of Culture. Practitioners in the 78 countries where Falun Gong is practised have spent the last six years on all sorts of efforts to let people know the truth about Falun Gong and to expose the CCP’s evil deeds. -

2005-07-27On July the 20th, Dutch Falun Gong practitioners appealed for an end to the persecution against Falun Gong outside the Chinese Consulate. The banners in English read, “Oppose Violent Persecution”, "Remember the 2696 Falun Gong Practitioners persecuted to Death,” and “Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners.”
