Germany: Anti-torture Exhibition Toured Government Buildings

Before President Hu’s visit to Germany, practitioners toured government buildings with an anti-torture exhibition to let the staff know about the persecution. By November 2nd, the anti-torture exhibition had visited the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the German Ministry of Domestic Affairs, the Presidential Palace and the headquarters of political party CDU. -
Spain: A Police Officer Cherishes "Truthfulness Compassion and Tolerance"

During Chinese President Hu Jintao’s visit to Spain, some practitioners came all the way from Switzerland to participate in the activities. They intended to take advantage of this opportunity to call on the Chinese President to bring an end to the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Throughout the activities, Spanish police stood in line in front of the practitioners participating in the petition. Practitioners knew that it was because of China’s pressure that the Spanish authorities ordered the police to do so. -

Before President Hu visited Düsseldorf, practitioners arrived to talk to politicians, business people and media about human rights abuses against Falun Gong in China. While appealing to people to pay more attention to the problem of the persecution, the practitioners set up two information stalls in front of the city and the state government buildings. -

Germany: Petition Signing Activity in Frankfurt before Hu’s visit

Practitioners from Frankfurt organised an information day in a city on the river Main. The reason for the activity was the visit of the State President of China in November. Signatures were collected, which were mailed to the Federal President Horst Köhler. We appealed to Mr Köhler to support the end of the persecution of Falun Gong in China. -

Germany: Exposing the Persecution of Falun Gong with an Anti-Torture Exhibition in Rostock
2005-11-20Falun Gong practitioners had the opportunity to show the travelling exhibition “Fields of Shame” in the German coastal city of Rostock during the weekend of November 12th. The exhibition has been shown nationwide and it displays pictures and photographs of human rights violations and torture methods used in different countries. We had been invited to participate in the exhibition to show torture methods brutally applied to thousands of peaceful Falun Gong practitioners in China. -

International human rights organisations had a clear message for both outgoing German Premier Gerhard Schroeder and his replacement Angela Merkel: We are clearly expressing our concern about the problem of human rights, which is getting worse in China.
