Some Suggestions for Better Truth-Clarification in Our Parade and Car Tour Activities

Only when people understand our message can we say that our parade entry achieves its goal. Otherwise, when the parade is finished, people will only understand Falun Gong from what stood out in their mind. This may mislead the audience. If we have more than one theme, such as suing Jiang and showing the torture and persecution along with more positive themes or activities, it seems essential to have a large banner to explain the theme in front of each part of the parade. -
Some Understandings of Jealousy
2004-06-07Jealousy is a serious problem. A jealous person cannot tolerate the fact that other people may be superior to him. He would consider anyone who is better than him to be showing off. His jealousy causes him to feel embarrassed by other people's merits and unable to appreciate their merits. On the other hand, he looks down on people he regards as inferior to him. He thinks he is perfect. -

While we were a little worried about finding a place, our most respected Teacher selected a different practice site for us. The practice site was smooth and flat, the environment was nice, and it could hold more people. After it was set up, the number of people coming to our practice site increased day by day. Within one year, the number of people practicing there increased from a few dozen to a few hundred. -

She had barely recovered when several policemen came to arrest her again from her home. She didn't open the door, so they tried to forcefully break in by ramming her window and door. She sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the persecution against her, but they kept on fiercely hitting her window. Suddenly a righteous thought came to her mind, "The evil is not allowed to persecute Dafa." In a split second they had gone. -

2004-05-17On the second day of the class, she felt the Falun rotating ceaselessly over her head. My wife had suffered from more serious diseases than me. But shortly after she obtained the Fa, the hemorrhoids that had plagued her for many years miraculously disappeared, and other diseases such as insomnia, allergy, aching all over her body, fear of cold, and other physical problems related to her menopause disappeared in half a year. First, we should clearly realize that the day we stepped into Dafa cultivation, Master rearranged the path of our lives. Although we don't know how Master arranged it for us, one point is clear: Master would not have arranged for us to be imprisoned and tortured by the police. Does having a lot of karma mean that we have to be tortured? The purpose of cultivation is not bearing hardships; the upgrading of character is the most crucial. -
Do Not Use a Critical Eye When Studying or Memorizing the Fa
2004-05-13When it comes to memorizing the Fa, those practitioners prefer memorizing some lectures to others. They spend a lot of time and are very fluent with some chapters but not all chapters. They even pick a few paragraphs within one article and only memorize those few paragraphs while ignoring the rest since they think those paragraphs are "well said," "very important," or "directly related to themselves." Personally, I don't think this is the correct way to study the Fa. I believe it diminishes the quality and effectiveness of the Fa-study. -

But it had never once crossed my mind that she was evaluating my speech and manners the whole time. -
Clarifying the Truth to Teachers from the Podium
2004-05-08I went to the class and used the opportunity to tell them the agenda, easing into talking about the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance. All of them listened carefully. Since then, I have been personally going to class every day to help them with their cleaning and sanitary work, which the other chief instructors never do. Some Thoughts on the Importance of Group Fa Study
2004-05-07I kept focusing on my reading. But when it was our turn to read together, the French, just read together with them and hearing the voices of the two who had just arrived brought tears to my eyes. I do not know why. Now I understand even better that in a group study, each particle helps me to rectify myself and contributes to rectify the group. This, everybody knows, but it is very moving when you experience it yourself and it helps to better understand the meaning of group study and the role of each particle in the group. -
The Heart of a Falun Dafa Community!
2004-05-07This special place was the beginning of what can only be described of as the most wonderful event to take place in own our City, Orlando, which will now never be the same after the arrival of Dafa. Through much effort on behalf our City's first contact person, who came from New York just to help us, one site soon became two and two became three until there was a practice session going on six days a week. It was beginning to manifest how the public would first view our presence as the curtain raised on the stage of Dafa's existence in our quite southern community. -
Instantaneous Enlightenment - Awakening to the Fa
2004-05-04I used to think studying the Fa is similar to storing apples for the winter, I can study it more in a day, and skip it for several days. Now it becomes more and more obvious that studying the Fa is equivalent to dining, you can't skip a single meal. Cultivation for improvement needs the Fa just like a growing child needs food. An increase in nutrition is necessary to enable daily growth.
