Ms. Sun Aimei, around 60 years old, lived in Xinhua Village, Zhucheng City, Shandong Province. On March 25th, 2008, the police arrested her while she was distributing leaflets exposing the persecution and telling people the facts about Falun Gong and took her to the Wangcun Women's Forced Labour Camp on March 28th, 2008.

At the end of 2008, the camp administration called and told her family to bring 5,000 yuan1 and visit her. Upon arriving, her family heard that she had suffered a severe case of cerebral thrombosis and had undergone open-skull surgery. Her family handed over the 5,000 yuan, but they were not allowed to see her. On February 1st, 2009, her family was notified to return to the labour camp again, but this time they were given the urn with her ashes.
