Switzerland: Event to Raise Awareness about the Persecution of Falun Gong

On January 13th, Swiss practitioners held an Information Day at the Parade Platz in Zurich to let more people know about the on-going brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China. In the past year or so, local practitioners have been holding events of this kind once a month. Many people learned about the benefits of practising of Falun Dafa as well as the ongoing brutal persecution happening in China. The practitioners will continue to hold events of this kind till the persecution is stopped. -
Lanzhou Song and Dance Troupe Unwelcome in Europe
2007-01-22I was told that the Lanzhou Song and Dance Troupe is going to perform in Europe. As the title of the show, “Grand Dream of Dunhuang Grotto” is very attractive, I was anxious to visit the Troupe’s website and did so with high expectations. On the website, I was shocked to find the highlighted caption: “Grand Dream of Dunhuang Grotto, an entirely different and anti-traditional dance drama.” As the historic story was thoroughly twisted, I was very disappointed after reading the introduction and I no longer wanted to see this anti-traditional “Grand Dream of Dunhuang Grotto.” -
Greece: Raising Awareness about the CCP's Crimes of Organ Harvesting in China among the People of the Villages of Pelion Mountain

On December 27th, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners from different parts of Greece made a tour by car to the villages of Pelion Mountain. The aim was to expose the crimes of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners in China. We were moved and encouraged by people’s reactions and response after talking to us. -
France: The European Celestial Orchestra Makes its Debut

From December 27th, 2006, to January 1st,2007, more than 160 European celestial orchestra members came from more than ten European countries and gathered in Paris in groups to take part in collective training for the first time. It made its debut in public for the first time as the European Celestial Orchestra when it performed at the Paris Parade Festival. -
Czech Republic: The Czech People March to Prague Castle in Protest against Organ Harvesting Atrocities in China

On Friday November 17th, just under a hundred human rights activists from the Czech Republic, as well as concerned people from all over the world traveled to Prague to take part in a rally and protest march. They brought attention to “large scale forcible organ harvesting” from the prisoners of conscience in China today. -
Ukraine: Falun Gong Practitioners Raise Awareness about the Persecution of Falun Gong in Kiev City Centre

On December 16th, 2006, practitioners from Kiev held an activity in Independence Square to let local people know about the Chinese Communist Party’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China. The activity attracted many passers-by, who stopped to watch and find out more about the practice and the persecution. -
Turkey: Practitioners Meet in Ankara to Study the Principles of Falun Dafa

From December 15th to December 25th, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners met in Ankara to study the principles of Falun Dafa and practise the Falun Gong exercises together. It was the ninth meeting of its kind and was attended by many people. Over one hundred and sixty copies of Zhuan Falun (the main text of Falun Dafa) in Turkish have been sold since December 2006 -
Russia: Practitioners Hold Activities in St. Petersburg to Expose the Persecution of Falun Gong in China

During the 2007 New Year break, Falun Gong practitioners in Russia and some practitioners from Ukraine, Czech Republic and Sweden held three days of activities in St Petersburg. They studied the principles of Falun Gong together, shared their cultivation experiences and organised activities to let people know the truth about Falun Gong. -
United Kingdom: Falun Gong Practitioners Take Part in New Year’s Day Parade in London

This year was the 21st New Year’s Day Parade in London and Falun Gong practitioners were invited to participate in the festivities. Along the way of the parade, practitioners gave the spectators a New Year’s gift, an exquisite folded paper lotus flower. Introductory information about Falun Gong was printed on bookmarks attached to every flower. -
Hungary: Raising Awareness about the Persecution of Falun Gong During the New Year Festivities
2007-01-09Practitioners from Hungary and Slovakia decided to spend the first of January, 2007, in Budapest’s Blaha Lujza Square, conducting an activity to expose the persecution of Falun Gong. They erected ifnormation boards with information about Falun Gong, the persecution and the Kilgour-Matas report on China’s harvesting of Falun Gong practitioner’s organs. Although the weather was rainy, many people came to read the information boards and happily took a flyer. -
France: The 'Divine Land Marching Band' Performs in Paris

On the last day of 2006 and the first day of 2007, the European Divine Land Marching Band, consisting of one hundred and sixty Falun Gong practitioners, performed in Paris. In four parades, the band's performance helped to raise awareness about the persecution of Falun Gong in China and was met with a warm welcome wherever it went. -
Ukraine: Falun Gong Practitioners Call for an End to the Persecution on Human Rights Day in Duonietsk

On December 10th, 2006, International Human Rights Day, Ukrainian practitioners held activities to expose the Chinese Communist regime’s persecution of Falun Gong. They talked with the local people about Falun Gong and the CCP human rights abuses, and also collected petition signatures for two Chinese practitioners in Ukraine who were seeking asylum. -
Hungary: Raising Awareness about the Persecution of Falun Gong During the Christmas Holidays

Between Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve, Hungarian Falun Dafa practitioners held activities in Budapest’s Blaha Lujza Square to raise awareness about the persecution of Falun Gong. Practitioners took turns in demonstrating the five sets of Falun Gong exercises, which contrasted well with the scenes of persecution depcited on the information boards. -
France: The European 'Divine Land Marching Band' Makes Its Debut in Paris

Through the performances of the Divine Land Marching Band and traditional-style Chinese dancers and drummers, Falun Gong practitioners not only showed local residents the magnificence of Falun Gong, but they also brought a happy surprise to them during the festival. -
Austria: Falun Gong Practitioners Raise Awareness about the Crimes of the CCP on World Human Rights Day
2007-01-03On December 10th, 2006, Austrian Falun Gong practitioners organised an activity in the famous tourist city of Salzburg to raise awareness about the horrible seven year persecution of Falun Gong practitioner by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Many passersby signed the petition condemning the persecution.
