Belated News: Ms. Li Jiawei Died Due to Mistreatment in Sichuan Province

The Chinese Communist Party began to cruelly persecute Falun Dafa practitioners on July 20th, 1999. In order to speak out for justice for Falun Dafa, Ms. Li Jiawei went to Beijing to appeal for an end to the persecution but she was detained and the police extorted 500 yuan from her. She was arrested and detained again several times for distributing leaflets exposing the persecution and telling people the truth about Falun Dafa. In 2005, Ms. Li Jiawei was again detained for distributing leaflets, and at a hospital, she was forcibly injected with an unknown substance, causing her feet to become necrotic. She died due to a severe infection in her feet in November 2005. -
Persecution-Related Deaths of 11 Falun Gong Practitioners Verified in August 2007

During a mass police arrest of practitioners Ms. Hu Yanrong, 42 years old, jumped out of a police vehicle, seriously injuring her head and consequently losing consciousness. Even though her life was in danger, the police did not notify her family and decided that she needed surgery on her head in the prison hospital. The next day (August 2nd), they notified her family. She died four days later at 2 a.m. on August 5th, 2007, without regaining consciousness after the surgery. -
3074 Deaths Confirmed During the Past Eight Years of Persecution

Ms. Jiang Pai, 30, single, died on June 28th, 2007 at the age of 30 as a result of torture during detention by the agents from Daqing City Police Department, the National Security Department and Procuratorate. She died with 5-kilogramme shackles still on her ankles. Her elderly mother was filled with grief. She cried, "They lied to me, so I encouraged my child to go back to work, but now she is dead. How can I go on living?" -
Mr. Li Xiaoyuan of Shenyang and Four Family Members Died As A Result of Persecution

Four years ago, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Xiaoyuan, 46, was tortured to death in Guanshan Forced Labour Camp of Liaoning Province. He spent the last four years of his life in detention and brainwashing centres, where he was subjected to torture. He was beaten by the team leader and prisoners for a day and night for refusing to wear the prison uniform. During his detention, four of his family members passed away as a result of the persecution. -
Older Practitioner Ms. Liu Gaixian from Shaanxi Province Died as a Result of Torture
2007-09-20Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Gaixian, about 55 years old, was arrested in 2001 while distributing leaflets exposing the persecution and telling people the truth about Falun Dafa. She was sentenced to 18 months of forced labour and served her term in Shaanxi Province Women's Forced Labour Camp. She was tortured both mentally and physically there, forced to do 17-18 hours of labour per day, deprived of her right to sleep, and forced to stand facing a wall during the night. Ms. Liu Gaixian was locked up in Shaanxi Province Women's Prison for 16 months as of August 7th, 2006. She endured all kinds of torture, to the point where she could not take care of herself. On October 22nd, 2006, only 75 days after she returned home, she died from the severe injuries she sustained in the prison. -
Two Falun Gong Practitioners from Anhui and Shandong Provinces Died from the Persecution
2007-09-19On May 11th, 2005, Ms. Liu was arrested by police because she had hung a Dafa banner exposing the persecution. Some of her property was confiscated and she was detained for two weeks. Then, Ms. Liu was taken to Zibo 2nd Women's Forced Labour Camp in Shandong, without any legal process. She was tortured by camp guards, which resulted in her vomiting blood three times. After she was released on April 17th, 2006, she continued vomiting blood. The hospital diagnosis was lung and colon cancer. Ms. Liu passed away on September 12th, 2007. -
Three Falun Gong Practitioners from Yantai, Beijing, and Baoding City Died as a Result of Persecution
2007-09-1852-year-old Ms. He Wenzhi went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong three times. As a result, she was detained in a detention centre. Because the Communist officials often harassed and threatened her and her family, Ms. He decided to go into exile to avoid further persecution. When she returned home she was arrested again and sentenced to two years of forced labour. Wangcun Forced Labour Camp guards brainwashed Ms. He Wenzhi and subjected her to sleep deprivation. Ms. He endured physical deprivations and mental torment and eventually developed leukaemia. She had no strength and her face was pale. She returned home in the spring of 2006. She died on December 29th, 2006, after having endured the illness-induced pain for six months. -
More Information Regarding Zheng Handong from Hubei Province Who Was Persecuted to Death
2007-09-17Falun Dafa practitioner Zheng Handong was persecuted to death in Shayangfanjiatai Prison on August 8th, 2007; he was only 44 years old. Zheng Handong was arrested in Nanchang City in 2002. He developed hypertension and heart disease after the brutal treatment. In May 2007, Mr. Zheng was hospitalised in the prison hospital in critical condition. On August 7th his family members visited him and he was able to carry on a conversation with them. They were on their way home on August 8th when the prison called them to say that Zheng Handong had died. The death certificate stated that the cause of death was cerebral hemorrhage, but family members have doubts. If it were a cerebral hemorrhage, first, how could he have awakened clear-headed from a coma? Second, there were no neurological manifestations such as distortion of the mouth, eye, etc. -
Older Practitioner Ms. Shi Jinqin from Sichuan Province Died as a Result of Persecution
2007-09-14On September 3rd, 2003, Ms. Shi Jinqin was distributing leaflets exposing the persecution of Falun Gong at a market when she was arrested by police. She was detained in the Mianyang City Detention Centre again, and her home was ransacked. The Fucheng District Court sentenced her to three years in prison. Ms. Shi Jinqin was released on November 23rd, 2006. Three days before she was released, she suddenly felt very weak and could not walk or talk. She became paralysed within ten days. She died on March 31st, 2007 as a result of the persecution she suffered for being a Falun Gong practitioner. She was only 57 years old. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Huang Min Persecuted to Death in the Qingyang District Hospital, Sichuan Province - The Second Practitioner to Die There in 4 Months
2007-09-13Less than six months ago, National Security agents and police officers arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Huang Min from Chengdu City, Sichuan Province on the street. On August 15th, 2007, her family was informed of her death. Huang Min had been tied to a bed at Xinhuashe District Health Service Centre. Ms. Huang's body weighed around 25 kg [55 lbs]. The facial expression was one of terrible anguish. The eyes were slightly open, and the head was tilted to the right. The mouth was wide open, completely exposing the upper front teeth. One tooth was missing, in the middle of the lower front row. An unknown yellow substance covered the whole mouth and teeth, and also leaked from the corner of the mouth. The body had a strong medicinal odour. The fingers were frozen in the posture of a tight grip. There were a few bruises on the forearms that appeared to have been caused by pinches. -
Mr. Zheng Handong Died after Being Forcibly Hospitalised by Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang County, Hubei Province
2007-09-13On March 20th, 2007, 26 practitioners including Mr. Zheng Handong were were transferred from Qinduankou Prison to Fanjiatai Prison and again subjected to physical examinations: their blood pressure was measured, x-rays taken, and blood drawn for a second time. For two consecutive days, the political commissar and the hospital director of the prison, as well as the guards of the ward and subdistrict, all came to request that Mr. Zheng Handong go to the hospital for treatment. He never returned. The only information was from guard Xiong Zuyong of his ward who was responsible for delivering him to the hospital. Xiong repeatedly claimed that Mr. Zheng's blood pressure while he was hospitalised continued to decrease. Mr. Zheng died on August 8th, 2007. Why would Mr. Zheng Handong die in the hospital while he was under the care of expert doctors? What did these "experts" do? -
Former Government Official Mr. Ma Tianyong, from the National Security Bureau in Yingkou City, Dies as a Result of Persecution
2007-09-09Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Ma Tianyong was repeatedly persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) during the past eight years, for practising Falun Gong. He was dismissed from his job and his salary was suspended. He was arrested and then sentenced to a forced labour camp. He suffered from tremendous stress both physically and psychologically, and he passed away at home on March 29th, 2007. His wife had also passed away, on November 26th, 2002, after being seriously persecuted in Masanjia Forced Labour Camp. -
Mr. Yang Xinyu Tortured to Death in Inner-Mongolia Autonomous Region
2007-09-07On May 31st, 2007, police arrested Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Yang Xinyu and his newlywed wife Ms. Zhen Haiyan. Policeman Zhang Shibin pointed a hand gun at Mr. Yang Xinyu's head while four to five agents carried him to the vehicle. Mr. Yang was forcibly taken to a brainwashing centre. Zhang Shibin pointed at Mr. Yang Xinyu and said in front of everyone, "If you refuse to be transformed, I will cremate you." The guards encouraged prisoners to beat him cruelly. Thus, Mr. Yang started a hunger strike to protest. Mr. Yang Xinyu's uncle went to visit him twice while he was being severely mistreated, but the Detention Centre Administration refused to let him see his nephew. They called his family only after he died. They found his body had dark bruises under his neck. -
Practitioners Mr. Liu Fufeng and Ms. Zheng Shuhua Die as a Result of Persecution
2007-09-07Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Fufeng, 54, benefited greatly from practising Falun Dafa both physically and spiritually. After the persecution of Falun Dafa began, he went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Dafa. There he was harassed and threatened by officers from the local police station. He was then arrested and detained at Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp. He was sentenced to forced labour twice. Both times he was tortured severely. As a result of the persecution, he also suffered the symptoms of diabetes. When he was released after his term of forced labour ended, his health worsened. He died on August 18th, 2007. -
Ms. Hu Yanrong from Liaoyuan City, Liaoning Province, Persecuted to Death

Seven police vehicles were dispatched with wooden batons, electric batons and picks, on August 1st, 2007, to arrest over 40 Falun Dafa practitioners at a meeting. Ms. Hu Yanrong was among them. She was beaten into unconsciousness. She jumped from the police vehicle, seriously hurt her head, and lost consciousness. Hu Yanrong died on August 5th, at Lingyuan City Prison Administration Sub-Bureau Hospital.
