The Brutal Torture of Dafa Practitioners in the Guangdong Province Chatou Labour Camp

Dafa practitioners at the labour camp are forced to transcribe letters prepared by the guards, renouncing their practice and denouncing Falun Dafa. The guards brutally torture those who do not comply, using sleep deprivation, forcing practitioners to stand for long periods of time, and hanging them up by ropes and shackles. The also tie up practitioners into positions that cause severe pain. They have exhausted their means of torturing determined Dafa practitioners. Even Ms. Pang Lihui, a practitioner who is over 70 years old, has also suffered these tortures. Guards took her to the notorious so-called "Guangzhou City Law Education School." They covered her mouth with strong, wide tape, wrapping it around her head about eight times. Ms. Pang could not breathe. -
Suizhou City Officials Falsely Blame Falun Gong Practitioners When Unemployed Workers Strike After Failed Appeals to Higher Authorities
2004-06-04The Tieshu Group textile factory in Suizhou City once employed a few thousand workers, but has now gone bankrupt due to corrupt dealings between the factory leaders and the local government officials. In order to be able to support themselves, many jobless workers appealed to higher authorities on several occasions with no result. Finally, the unemployed workers protested by blocking the local railways. Information circulating among the workers said that Mayor Wu Chao was falsely telling the higher authorities that the railway blockings were caused by Falun Gong practitioners. Twenty of them were falsely arrested for allegedly practising Falun Gong and taken to the Hubei Province Denglin Farm (a jail), where the police did not allow visits from their family members. -
Brutal Persecution Suffered by Female Falun Gong Practitioners Inside the Nanmusi Women's Labour Camp in Sichuan Province
2004-06-02"I am a female Dafa practitioner from Sichuan Province. I was illegally sentenced to two years of forced labour education and sent to the Nanmusi Women's Labour Camp in Sichuan Province. Nanmusi Women's Labour Camp is a brutal environment and those incarcerated there consider it to be hell on earth. two foreign reporters came to the camp to investigate whether the reports that they had a water dungeon which they used for torture were true. They asked one practitioner. She only replied, "I won't say anything." After that, the guards hung her by her hands from the window frames for four days and four nights." -
Falun Gong Practitioners Forced into Intensive Slave Labour in Hazardous Conditions at Chaoyanggou Labour Camp
2004-06-01In April of 2001 Chaoyanggou Labour Camp ordered practitioners to work in a factory producing floorboard materials. There the harm of inhaling plastic dust was a very serious problem and almost no safety equipment was offered. Practitioners were forced to do hard labour even when they were not given enough food to eat in any one of the three meals in a day. When they were loading and unloading PVC material, everyone had to carry bags close to or over one hundred pounds and pile them up neatly. Practitioners were soaked with sweat, gasping for breath, while the guards and the head of the hooligans were shouting and cursing the practitioners to work harder. -

Dandong City "610 Office" Forces Elementary Students To Report Dafa Practitioners
2004-05-27Recently, the Liaoning Province, Dandong City "610 Office" coordinated with the City Education Bureau and other government organizations to campaign among all the city elementary school students to "expose and criticize" Falun Gong. At Fuchun Elementary School, they forced every student to report on any other students, teachers, or parents who may practise or have any relationships with Falun Gong practitioners. The intense pressure was terrifying. -

2004-05-26"My name is Wen Huiying. I'm a retired worker from the Taoyuan County Shipping Company in Changde City, Hunan Province. Because I believe in Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance, I was unjustly and brutally persecuted by Jiang's regime. I have been arrested and detained many times since the persecution of Falun Dafa began on July 20, 1999. Twice I was sentenced to a forced labour camp. Now I am homeless and have to move from one place to another in order to escape the persecution. At home, I have an eighty-year-old father-in-law who needs my care. My husband has several dislocated vertebrae and has problems taking care of himself. My son is working out of town and my family needs my care. But I'm forced to drift from one place to another and cannot return home." -
Outrageous Persecution Perpetrated at the Hebei Provincial No. 4 Prison
2004-05-25Hebei Provincial No. 4 Prison uses a cruel method of torturing imprisoned Falun Dafa practitioners called "Taming the Eagle." This is considered an "outstanding torture" and was first used at the Baoding and Taihang Prisons to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. It was later popularized by the Hebei Provincial "610 Office.". In this torture, three to four criminals and several police guards make up what is called a "transformation" team. The team works in three shifts so that Falun Gong practitioners can be beaten 24 hours a day. -
Personal Account of Persecution in Shanghai
2004-05-24"In August of 2001, because of printing Dafa banners, I was arrested by the police and brought to the Yangpu Detention Centre. In order to isolate Dafa practitioners from each other, each prison cell only holds one practitioner while the rest of the inmates are criminals who have committed various crimes. Each cell measures less than 16 square meters [approximately 160 square feet]; excluding the pit-type lavatory, the area for sitting and sleeping is very small. With more than twenty inmates detained in a cell, fights broke out every day; very often we would be awakened in the middle of the night by the noise of fighting and shouting due to someone's loud snoring or arguments from inmates trying to get more sleeping space." -

2004-05-24The No. 1 Female Forced Labour Camp of Shandong Province not only mentally and physically tortures Falun Gong practitioners, but also uses many means to extort money from them. The following are some cases of the forced labour camp extorting Falun Gong practitioners' money. To "help and educate" (brainwash) one practitioner, he/she is charged 3,000 Yuan. This is not forced labour, but one who is "helped and educated" has no personal freedom. Usually, these brainwashing sessions last from twenty days to three months. -
The Masanjia Labour Camp, under Bo Xilai's Rule, Persecutes Young Women to the Point of Mental Collapse and Death
2004-05-23On April 22, while visiting the US, the Chinese Minister of Commerce Bo Xilai, was served a summons from the Washington, DC, District Court for abusing huge amounts of government funds to persecute Falun Gong during his term as Liaoning's Provincial Governor. According to reliable sources, agonizing screams were often heard outside the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp in Liaoning Province. In October 2000, at Masanjia, 18 female Falun Gong practitioners were stripped naked and thrown into the cells of male criminals. The cruel persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in Masanjia has led to at least five deaths, caused seven to suffer mental collapse, and physically disabled many. -
Cruel Torture at the Gaoyang Forced Labour Camp: Burying Practitioners Alive, Force-feeding with Urine, and Gagging with Soiled Sanitary Napkins
2004-05-23I am a Falun Dafa practitioner and was abducted by police and taken to the Gaoyang Forced Labour Camp. When I got there, the guards took me and a few other practitioners into the wilderness to be buried alive. The guards lit a campfire and dug a big hole. They pushed us into the hole and said that if we did not give up our faith, we would be buried and that if we died, it would be called suicide. We refused to renounce our belief even though we were buried up to our waists. -
The Facts of Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Zhang Changming's Torture and Death in the Jiamusi City Forced Labour Camp
2004-05-23"One day we heard Liu Hongguang and Zhang Zhenhua ordering others to drag Mr. Zhang Changming into the solitary confinement compartment. We heard Mr. Zhang shouting, "Help!" Later on we learned that Mr. Zhang had been tortured to death during his second time in the solitary confinement compartment. We cannot imagine the horrors that went on inside. According to Liang Jingui, when he saw Mr. Zhang Changmin in the morning, his body was already stiff and his body was horribly misshapen." -

2004-05-23"On the night of April 29, 2004, I went to Hong Kong via China Airlines to attend a Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference legally permitted by the Hong Kong government. I was issued an entry permit by the Hong Kong government a week prior to my trip. However, when I entered customs, I was immediately escorted by the airport police to a small room and searched. I asked them in surprise, "Will it always be like this to enter Hong Kong in the future?" They replied, "This is just a routine inspection." I asked again, "Which Hong Kong law have I breached for you to treat me like this?" They answered, "Sorry, we are just conducting a routine inspection."" -
Sixty-Three-Year-Old Ms. Chen Guilan Beaten to Death in Labour Camp in Gansu Province (Photo)
2004-05-2263 year old Falun Gong practitioner Chen Guilan passed away on September 27, 2002, only three days after she was sent to the Second Labour Camp of Gansu Province. Sources report that Chen Guilan's husband found distinct blue and red bruises on his wife's body when he was ordered to go to the Second Labour Camp to deal with his wife's death. He wanted to take photos of her body, but was forbidden from doing do. Furthermore, the Camp did not allow him to move his wife's body to their hometown and cremate it there. In the end, the Camp cremated Chen's body.
