  • Ms. Pan Jingxian Disabled by Torture at Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp in Jilin Province

"On November 24th, 2006 the police sent me to the Heizuizi Women's Forced Labour Camp in Changchun City, Jilin Province for one year. I was surrounded by collaborators [former practitioners who assist in brainwashing and torturing practitioners.] I was forbidden to have any contact with other people. They slandered Dafa and forced me to read books of different religions. They attempted to coerce me to write a so-called "repentance statement", and to have me give up my beliefs. Because I did not cooperate, I was beaten several times. Once, a guard accused me of doing the sitting meditation on the bed. She slapped my face and used an electric baton to shock me. Even though my health was poor, the guards still compelled me to work at the labour camp. I felt pain in my feet, and my torso and legs were numb."

I refused to cooperate during the physical exam, and refused to give a urine sample. I took off my handcuffs to throw them in the toilet. Yu Jihai caught me and took the cuffs. He ordered others to get a tube and take a urine sample by force. I firmly opposed them and their attempt failed. At the time, my face was so swollen from bruises that I could not even see. The forced labour camp authorities did not want to accept me. Yu Jihai and the other police officers had to bribe them to take me."

  • Middle School Student in Guangzhou City Seeks Her Parents' Release from Unjust Imprisonment

My name is Li Linghui. I'm 12 years old and a middle school student. I used to have a happy and peaceful family life. My father and mother persisted in practising Falun Gong after the persecution began, not wanting to give up their faith in Truth-Compassion-Tolerance. Because of this, the police showed up one day and smashed the main house gate, and arrested my father and mother on December 25th, 2007. I saw my father had been pushed down to the ground by two policemen, and both of his hands were tied behind his back. Then, with a loud "bang", the door of my room was smashed and two policemen rushed in. They grabbed my mother by her shoulders and dragged her out of the living room. I witnessed this persecution with my own eyes.

  • Facts about the Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners at Xinhua Forced Labour Camp in Sichuan Province

The authorities of Xinhua Forced Labour Camp of Sichuan Province are still persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, using torture to attempt to "reform" them. When inmates are "restricted," they must wear a helmet and be handcuffed and shackled. On July 24th, 2007, because practitioner Mr. Qu Zhenxing refused to wear the "labourer ID" that is required for every inmate, guards brutally beat him for an entire afternoon. His screams were heard in all the cells. Mr. Qu was then "restricted" for 26 days. These guards electrically shocked practitioners with 200 kilowatt and even 500 kilowatt batons.
  • "Restricted Rooms" Used to Torture Practitioners at Heizuizi Women's Forced Labour Camp in Changchun, Jilin Province

Heizuizi Women's Forced Labour Camp guards send steadfast practitioners to "restricted rooms" in attempts to force them to write the so-called guarantee statement [promising to abandon the practice]. The guards handcuff a practitioner's hands to the corners of a bed, then use leather belts from underneath the bed to tie the practitioner's knees so as to restrict all movement. Someone constantly monitors the practitioner and forces the her to eat, drink, and relieve herself on the bed for days at a time. They send collaborators, former practitioners who assist in brainwashing and torturing practitioners, to try to persuade her not to make trouble for the guards.
  • Practitioner Ms. Kong Xiangying from Mengyin County, Shandong Province Recounts Years of Brutal Persecution and Torture

In 2001 the Jinan City Women's Forced Labour Camp imprisoned over 800 practitioners. The oldest was 62 and the youngest 16. The inmates and practitioners were forced to work more than twelve hours a day. Most of the work was to produce products for export, including gluing flowers, embroidering, sewing quilts, tying ribbons, making medicine boxes and putting the name of Nanjing Pharmaceutical Factory in Jiangsu Province on the boxes. The glue contained a lot of chemicals. Inmates often fainted in the damp and muggy basement. We were also forced to pack pencils and make woven bags. We were held to strict deadlines and given quotas. We often had to work overtime and often until 1:00 a.m. to meet the deadlines.
  • Li Donghong, a Freelance Writer, Was Arrested Again and Is Being Severely Persecuted

Practitioner Li Donghong was monitored by two drug addict inmates. They took turns sleeping on the cement bed and took turns torturing Mr. Li. He had to stand for 24 hours and was not allowed to go to sleep or sit down for a break. The inmates would beat him if he closed his eyes as he stood. The guards in the labour camp boasted that they had more than a hundred vicious methods they could use to persecute and torture practitioners, such as severe beatings, forcing practitioners to eat faeces and spit, and burning their eyes with high power light bulbs. In the severe cold of winter they would force practitioners to stand outside without wearing any clothes. During the hot summer days, they forced practitioners to run in winter coats.
  • Brutality in Xindian Women's Forced Labour Camp in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province

They pinned Niu Yulan to the floor, pried open her mouth with a spoon and grabbed her jaws so they could inject food into her throat. This horrible practice made her mouth bleed and her hair was pulled out and spread everywhere on the floor. The guards did not want to hear Niu Lanyun's protest, so they told the criminals to gag her with a towel and handcuff her arms behind her back. More than 70 days of extended torture made Ms. Niu very skinny and weak. The guards did not want to see her die at the camp, so they ordered her family to pick her up
  • Exposing the Tragic Experience of Being Expelled from University for Practising Falun Gong

On May 18th, 2007, I put up eight posters exposing the persecution at public places around the university. Two days later the secretary of the Communist (CCP) Youth League asked me to come and see several leaders of the university and the head of security. I became very scared and hesitated to say anything, especially because I had never come across this kind of situation. After half an hour, the deputy head of the Security Department, Chen, presented a piece of paper and a pile of documents. I was dumbfounded when I saw them. I tried to remain calm and not let them notice my fear. Chen said, "You put these up, right? You'd better tell us all the details and do not try to hide anything. We can severely punish you because of this issue." Later the CCP expelled me from University.
  • Brutal Persecution at Jiangxi Provincial Women's Forced Labour Camp

In order to force Falun Gong practitioners to give up their beliefs, one of the common means used by the camp is to confine them in black cells. The guards separately detain those practitioners who firmly believe Falun Dafa into small cells, the area of which is less than 6 square metres. Each practitioner is isolated from the outside and has to complete his daily life in the cell. The cells have very bad smells and practitioners suffer from biting mosquitoes. The guards want to utilise such means to destroy practitioners' will. In order to get more bonus money, the camp implements so-called "fortification fight" (i.e. forced brainwashing). The guards do not let practitioners go to sleep. Without normal rest, some practitioners suffer mental disorders, even mental collapse.
  • The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Persecuted My Parents and Me

Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Gong in 1999, they have instilled lies into people's minds about Falun Gong and didn't even overlook the primary school students. The students treated me as an enemy, threatened me, bullied me, and punched and kicked me. Many times I didn't dare to go to school due to the beatings. I reported this to my teacher but he couldn't effectively prevent them from doing bad things to me. My parents have been detained in brainwashing centres and severely tortured. I was traumatised and lagged behind in my studies as a result.
  • Cases of Jinan Forced Labour Camp Officials Persecuting Falun Gong Practitioners

Practitioners who are currently incarcerated are forced to do heavy labour. Regardless of age, they are given high output quotas and are punished if the quotas are not met. The punishment ranges from standing for extended periods of time, writing self-criticism papers, or sleep deprivation. They are subjected to mental torment and physical torture every moment of their incarceration. Ms. Han Aiwen did not cooperate during roll call, so the guards ordered eight criminal inmates to beat her. She was beaten so badly that she let out bloodcurdling screams.
