Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Chen Rongyao from Wuhan City, Hubei Province was arrested by police from the Qiaokou Station on January 6, 2002. Police ransacked his home on the same day and confiscated They took away two stereos, one bike, and 13,000 yuan in cash, which was Chen's daughter's savings. He was sent to the Etouwan No.1 Detention Centre, where he was tortured severely. He died in the hospital on May 15, 2002. -
Daqing City Police Responsible for Death of Dafa Practitioner Ms. Wang Guofang
2004-04-07Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Guofang was 42-year-old. She lived in Daqing City. In 2002, she was arrested and was sent to Shuanghe Labour Camp in Qiqihar City. The labour camp authorities told Wang Guofang's family that she died from heart disease. However, sources reveal that lately the authorities of Shuanghe Labour Camp have been brutally torturing determined Dafa practitioners in order to reach the quota for "reformed" Falun Gong practitioners. In mid March 2004, she was tortured to death in the custody of Daqing City police. -
Hebei Province College Student Liu Ling Unjustly Suspended from College for Persisting in Her Belief
2004-04-07Ms. Liu Ling is a student in the Chemistry Department of Hebei's Handan Normal Junior College. Ms. Liu Ling is a student in the Chemistry Department of Hebei's Handan Normal Junior College. Because she practises Falun Gong, officers from her local police station arrested her in 2001. Ms. Liu was detained for more than five months, during which time the college attempted to force her to give up her belief. Liu Ling's suspension from school has now lasted more than three years. -
Female Practitioner Detained Seven Times In Two Years While Two Family Members Passed Away
2004-04-06"I am a female Falun Gong practitioner, and I am 52 years old this year. Since I started to practise Falun Gong I was arrested seven times, and I lost two family members in those two years. Because my son and I were arrested at the same time, my mother fell ill due to excessive worry. After we were arrested, my husband suffered from cerebral hemorrhage, so no one was left to take care of my mother. Later my father also passed away while I was imprisoned. -
Father and Son Are Cruelly Persecuted Resulting in Father's Death
2004-04-06Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Wensheng and his father Mr. Li Hai from Shandong Province both suffered unrelentless torture in detention for three years. He endured multiple beatings causing his body to turn a livid purple colour and until he vomitted blood. His father suffered no less. The authorities viciously beat, abused and physically punished him. They also forced him to criticize himself and defame Falun Dafa on TV. This devastated him both physically and mentally. He sadly died on December 23, 2002. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Shot at by Liaoning Province Police
2004-04-06On March 14, 2004, Zhao Qingzhe and other police officers from the Liaohe Oil Field Police Department jumped out of a car, and without warning, chased and shot at Falun Dafa practitioner Zheng Qunpeng while he was on his way to work. Fortunately, officer Zhao missed his target. He shouted, "Let me break his legs!" At the local police station an officer threatened "We could sentence you and send you to a labour camp because you shouted 'Falun Dafa is great'. -
Police Wrongfully Accuse Practitioner of Printing Anti-Revolutionary Flyers in Hunan Province
2004-04-06On May 10, 2000, because of distributing truth-clarification flyers, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zen Fanchun was arrested by Chief Officer Zheng Aimin. Zheng Aimin lied to the surrounding people, saying, "Zen Fanchun prints anti-revolutionary flyers." When Mr. Zen's father, sister-in-law and wife came to the police station to bring food to him, some practitioners were about to be sent to the county detention centre, and they protested against this. Zen's father was thrown to the floor and badly beaten. -
Anhui Province Teacher Mr. Liu Jie Dies as Result of Persecution
2004-04-05Liu Jie, a 35 year-old Falun Gong practitioner, was a teacher in Anhui Province. In October 2003, after being detained for over one year, he was taken to the hospital where he became comatose. The "610 Office" and the detention centre of Fuyang City were callous regarding Liu Jie's condition. In early March 2004, Liu Jie passed away after five months of unbearable suffering. He left a three year old son and his family. -
Jinan City Practitioner Ms. Tong Ruilian Died of Torture-Induced Illnesses in 2001
2004-04-05Tong Ruilian was a 62 year old lady working at the Energy Research Institute of Jinan Academy of Science in Shandong Province. She was detained numerous times for appealing for Falun Dafa and sent to various detention centres where she suffered untold torture. After her release, she was hospitalized several times. Shortly before her death, the leader of the Energy Research Institute came to her home, saying, "As long as you say you will not practise, we will pay for your medical expenses right away." But she simply refused to give up her belief in Falun Gong. Several days later she passed away. -

Police Poured Boiling Water Down Practitioner Wang Fusheng's Back - Scars Are Still Visible Three Years Later (Photo)
2004-04-05Shandong Province Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Fusheng was arrested in 2001by local law-enforcement agents. They took turns torturing him in an attempt to force him to give up his belief in Falun Dafa. They beat him with wooden sticks until he fell to the ground and both his legs became paralyzed. Later Ge Chuanyi poured a bottle of boiling water down Mr. Wang's neck, severely burning his entire back and leaving a number of egg-sized blisters. -
Death of Ms. Xiao Yali as a Result of Persecution at the Shuangcheng City Detention Centre, Her Child Orphaned
2004-04-04Dafa practitioner Ms. Xiao Yali, 36, lived in the surrounding area of Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province. Ms. Xiao Yali was arrested on February 28, 2004 yet she died as a result of persecution she received at the Shuangcheng City Detention Centre. Her six-year-old child is now left without its mother. -
Ms. Liu Mei on the Verge of Death: Dabei Prison Warden Tells her Family, "If She Dies, You Can Come Here to Claim Her Body."
2004-04-04In April 2002, Dafa practitioner Liu Mei suffered a concussion sustained during her arrest and then developed a high fever that lasted for a long time. In March 2004, her relatives were told to go see her in Dabei Prison in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. A team leader at the prison surnamed Zhang told her relatives, "If she refuses to yield to the government, she will never be able to leave the jail. If she dies, you can come here to claim her body." -
Mass Arrest of Falun Dafa Practitioners Underway in Huanggang City
2004-04-04On March 11, 2004 about 200 Falun Dafa practitioners from Huanggang City attended the memorial service for Falun Dafa practitioner Zheng Zhong, who died as a result of persecution. On March 13 some practitioners were arrested. The practitioners from Huanggang City consider the arrests part of a new round of persecution. The head of the first division of the Huanggang Police City Bureau, Zhou Yuhua appeared to "persuade" the work units of the practitioners to present a wreath for Zheng Zhong. He also said there would be no arrests this time. But the memorial service was barely over when police began arresting practitioners again. Could the arrests be coincidental? -
