Force-Feeding As a Means of Torture in Hebei Province Detention Centre

Around 3 a.m. on February 24, nearly 20 police broke into the home of three Falun Dafa practitioners and arrested them. In order to resist the persecution, they went on a hunger strike. Five days into their hunger strike the head of the detention centre ordered the practitioners to be brutally force-fed. A stomach tube was inserted through the nose into the stomach, and the tube was connected to a balloon filled with air. After not having food and water for several days, one practitioner almost suffocated when the stomach tube was inserted, so the tube had to be taken out and reinserted. Another pulled out the tube dripping with blood, and the balloon burst. Both of the practitioners started to vomit until bile came up. -
Practitioner Ms. Qi Suchun from Liaoning Province Died as a Result of the Persecution in 2001

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Qi Suchun from Beining City, Liaoning Province, was abducted in March 2001 and sent to the Zhaotun Town government building to undergo brainwashing. It was reported that she fell from the fourth floor of the government building and died upon impact. The true cause of the tragedy is unknown. -
Practitioners Forced into Slave Labour at Shandong Women's Prison, At Least Two Have Died from Illness and Exhaustion
2005-04-15The Shandong Province Women's Prison has the official name of Shandong Province Xingye Development Corporation Ltd. The prison authorities force illegally detained Falun Gong practitioners to work from 15 to 18 hours a day, and overnight as the workload increases. Sometimes the practitioners cannot sleep or wash themselves for several days and nights. Practitioner Ms. Li Fang died from illness and exhaustion on April 27th 2002. Another practitioner approximately 58 years of age died on her way home. -
Six Falun Gong Practitioners from Beijing and Hebei Province Died under the Persecution
2005-04-15Ms. Ji Yongfang, 85 years old, was a resident of Xinchengzi Village, Xinchengzi Town in Miyun County, Beijing. Before practising Falun Gong, Ms. Ji suffered from various kinds of illnesses and was critically ill on several occasions. After she started to practise Falun Gong in 1996, all of her illnesses disappeared. In March 2000, when she was practising the Falun Gong exercises at home, personnel from the local police station forcibly took her away and persecuted her. After she was released, she had a relapse of her old illnesses. She passed away in May 2001. -
More Information About How Wang Ziguang Was Tortured to Death
2005-04-15Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Ziguang was a teacher in Jilin City. He injured himself at school so badly that he had to leave his teaching post. Mr. Wang started to practise Falun Gong and his back pain disappeared. He appealed for Falun Dafa and was imprisoned in a forced labour camp. Mr. Wang was beaten frequently and could not get enough to eat. Under such bad conditions, his health kept getting worse. He developed liver ascites and died in December 2000. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. An Fengbo is Critically Ill from Torture at the Jilin City No. 3 Detention Centre
2005-04-15For several years, police and guards at the detention centre have used various persecution methods on Dafa practitioners who righteously resist their demands to renounce Falun Dafa. They use many forms of physical punishment, including using other prisoners to beat the practitioners, shackling the hands and feet of practitioners together for long periods of time, brutal force-feeding, and other inhumane acts limited only by their imaginations. -
The Persecution against 51 Year Old Ms. Tan Shaolan in Chengdu City
2005-04-15Because 51 year old Ms. Tan Shaolan went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa, her workplace stopped her pension and she was not even allowed the most basic living expenses. She was arrested and sent to a "legal system study class" in Chengdu City, where they brainwashed her and detained her for one year and four months. The authorities made Ms. Tan's family pay 750 yuan per month for her living expenses while in the class. Ms. Tan's pension will not be reinstated until she pays the entire 12,000 yuan in living expenses for her detention in the legal system study class. -
Sixteen Falun Dafa Practitioners Lost Their Lives As a Result of Persecution
2005-04-14Ms. Ni Shuqin from Liaoning Province was arrested and detained by the police several times because she refused to renounce her belief in Falun Dafa. In 2002, she was sentenced to 4 years of imprisonment. She was tortured to the point of being critically ill and extremely weak in Dabei Prison of Shenyang. On October 16, 2003, Ms. Ni was released on bail for medical treatment. She died on March 13, 2005. During those days of persecution, Liu Guofu, the head of the Hekanzi Town Police Station, extorted 1,000 yuan from Ni Shuqin. When she was in Dabei Prison, Ms. Ni's family members had been illegally fined over 10,000 yuan by the prison. -
In Memory of Hainan Art School Teacher Zhang Xiaotong
2005-04-14Zhang Xiaotong was from Siping City, Jilin Province and born in November 1958. She was a piano teacher in the Hainan Provincial Art School. She was kind and talented, especially in music composition. Because she cultivated Falun Dafa, Zhang Xiaotong suffered severe persecution for a long time. She died at age 46, at 6 p.m. on March 10, 2005 in the Hainan People's Hospital. Zhang Xiaotong's husband Song Yuesheng is a sculptor, and he also teaches at the Hainan Provincial Art School. Because he is a Dafa practitioner, he was illegally arrested and sentenced, and is currently still in prison. -

Just because I firmly believe in "Truth, Compassion, and Forbearance," and refuse to give up practising Falun Dafa, they tortured me in a detention centre until I was disabled, making me so thin and weak. They did not allow my family to visit me during the first month. I went on hunger strike; then they force-fed me. They used four to five young men to hold down my legs, arms, and head, and they pinched my nose while they poured milk, which was saturated with salt, down my throat. More Information on Ms. Ma Jingfang, a Beijing Practitioner Who Was Persecuted to Death
2005-04-14Ms. Ma Jingfang died as a result of persecution. In 2002 she was unjustly imprisoned in a labour camp in Beijing, where guards forced practitioners to get up early every morning to knit woollen jumpers. Practitioners there were routinely forced to work through the night without rest. Enduring these conditions, Ms. Ma Jingfang developed acute heart disease. Although she was released she never recovered. She was arrested again and sentenced to a labour camp for a second time, but it refused to admit Ms. Ma Jingfang because of her severe heart problems. In early March 2005, Ms. Ma Jingfang died. -
Heilongjiang Province College Lecturer Dies from Persecution in Prison
2005-04-13Falun Gong practitioner Wei Xiaodong, not yet 34 years old, formerly lectured in the School of Engineering at a University in Heilongjiang Province. Mr. Wei contracted tuberculosis due to the harsh conditions in a forced labour camp. He grew thin and weak, and lost almost all of his hair. He was later transferred to a prison. On March 21, 2005, Mr. Wei died. Before his wife was even informed of his death, family members had his body cremated. Mr. Wei's wife also practises Falun Gong and is being detained and persecuted in Harbin. -
Jilin Prison Persecuted Changchun Practitioner Liu Jingxin, Leaving Him With a Debilitated Body and Lifeless Eyes
2005-04-13Mr. Liu Jingxin, 32, has been detained since March 2002 for no reason except that he practises Falun Dafa. Even without enough evidence to sentence him he was sent to Jilin Prison to serve a three and a half year term. His relatives who visited him remarked that he looked like a different person. He was extremely weak, with lifeless eyes. He looked pale and skinny, unable to move his left arm. they learned that the prison pressured him mentally and tortured him physically for twelve straight days, in order to force him to renounce Falun Dafa. -
Seven Older Falun Gong Practitioners Die as a Result of Persecution
2005-04-1393 year old Ms. Jia Yinjie, from Hebei Province, began Falun Dafa cultivation practice in 1996. Subsequently, many of the diseases she suffered from disappeared. After July 20, 1999, when the persecution began, the authorities searched her daughter's house, where she lived. Later her daughter was detained after going to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong. In jail, her daughter suffered inhuman torture, and this also caused Ms. Jia immense suffering. Due to pressure from this persecution, Ms. Jia could no longer continue the practice. She worried for a long time and passed away on October 31, 2001. -
Masanjia Forced Labour Camp Makes Huge Profits Using Slave Labour to Produce Harmful Products
2005-04-13Masanjia Forced Labour Camp forces Falun Dafa practitioners to make money for them. Practitioners must make a large number of cardboard boxes, handling glue for a long time. Some people's eyes were irritated and watering, and the skin of their fingers split. Young practitioners are forced to make clothes and many handicrafts, including bracelets, necklaces, hair ornaments, and artificial flowers. Older women are forced to make "hygienic cotton swabs."
