Germany: Practitioners Gather at the Chinese Consulate in Munich to Support the Lawsuit Against Jiang Zemin in Chicago
2004-05-29On May the 27th, the court debate regarding the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin took place at the U.S. Federal Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago. To expose the Jiang group’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China and to support the lawsuit, practitioners from Bayern and Salzburg gathered at the Chinese Consulate in Munich to hold petition activities. -
Austria: Practitioners Support the Lawsuit Against Jiang in Chicago by Appealing at the Chinese Embassy in Vienna
2004-05-29On May 27th, 2004, the U.S. Court of Appeals in Chicago is to proceed with oral arguments from the plaintiffs’ lawyer in the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin (Jiang is sued for the crimes of torture, genocide and crimes against humanity). In support of this lawsuit, on the evening of May 26th, Austrian Dafa practitioners held an appeal at the Chinese embassy in Vienna. -

German Falun Gong Information Centre: Demanding an End to the Former Chinese Head of State's Escape From Punishment
2004-05-28On September the 12th 2003, the District Court dismissed the suit against Jiang Zemin on the basis of his right to immunity as head of state. The public widely criticised this decision. The plaintiffs filed an appeal on January the 12th 2004 with the Appeals Court in Chicago. On Thursday May the 27th 2004, attorneys, plaintiffs and others functioning as amicus curiae will have an opportunity to verbally address the Appeals Court in Chicago and voice their views. -

Over ten high-ranking police officers attended the seminar and the discussion which followed. 2004-05-28On May 21st, Chinese Communist Party Secretary Wang Taihua was served with a class-action lawsuit charging him with torture, murder, and genocide. The complaint alleges that under Wang’s direction, the four plaintiffs were subjected to torture and abuse in the Female Labour Re-Education Camp and mental hospitals located in Anhui Province. -
