  • Falun Gong Practitioner Jiang Xiao Feng who Studied in Ireland is Illegally Arrested in China and Sent to Zhangshi Forced Labour Camp

    Jiang Xiao Feng is a practitioner from Shenyang. He studied in Ireland from 1998 to 2000. In May 2000, he went back to China. Recently we heard that he has been arrested and sent to Shenyang Zhangsi labour camp. Zhangsi labour camp is a very evil place and just as bad as Masanjia labour camp, Longshan labour camp, Guanshan labour camp and Dabei prison. They persecute practitioners in an extremely evil way. To this date, at least eleven practitioners have been persecuted to death there.
  • Epoch Times: Trial of China's Former Education Minister Can Go Forward, Tanzanian Judge Rules

    On August 3, 2004, a preliminary judgement by a judge in Tanzania's capital, Dar Es Salaam, cleared the way for a criminal trial of Chen Zhili, China's former Minister of Education. The affidavit, brought forward by Falun Gong practitioners in Ethiopia and supported by practitioners in many other countries, charges Chen Zhili with murder and torture of Chinese teachers and students who practice Falun Gong.
  • Greece : Lawsuit Filed Against Chief Persecutors of Falun Gong Practitioners

    At approximately 11am on August the 5th 2004, a criminal lawsuit was filed in Greece against Jiang Zemin, Li Lanqing and Luo Gan for their Crimes of Torture. This was followed by a press conference in Athens to let the public know about this step towards bringing the chief persecutors of Falun Gong to justice. The press conference was attended by both Greek and international media, and featured 3 plaintiffs from this lawsuit as well as several experts in the field of law and human rights.
  • Ireland: Practitioners Continue to Call for the Rescue of Yang Fang

    We strongly urge Shengyang city government public security authorities to return Yang Fang’s passport so that she can come back to Ireland to continue her studies. Immediately release Jiang Hsiao Feng and all detained Dafa practitioners and return the freedom they are entitled to by the law and the Chinese constitution.

    Since I began practising Falun Dafa, I have received many physical and spiritual benefits. However, because I practise Falun Dafa and want to follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance in my daily life, the Chinese Embassy in Hungary refuse to extend my passport application, making living and working very hard for me and my daughter. I hope they can stop following Jiang's orders to persecute innocent Falun Gong practitioners and stand up for what is right.
  • Belgium: New Practitioners Meet in the Park to Practise Falun Gong Exercises and Study the Teachings Together

    On July the 31st 2004, a meeting was organized for new practitioners in the city of Ghent. Over 20 practitioners, who all started Falun Gong recently, gathered in the park in the morning to practise the Falun Gong exercises together. After the practice, the group started reading the introductory text Falun Gong and discussed questions that came up during the reading.
  • EFGIC: Tanzania - Judge Gives Green Light to Criminal Trial of Chinese State Councillor

    'LONDON [EFGIC] – The historic legal action against Chen Zhili, a Member of the Chinese State Council, has taken a major step forward. The preliminary judgement in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, on August 3 was in favour of the Falun Gong practitioners in Ethiopia, on whose behalf attorneys brought the case. With the judge’s decision, the civil action has been concluded, clearing the way for a criminal trial. The case is now in the process of being moved to the Chief State Prosecutor’s office.'
  • Ireland: Irish Falun Dafa Association Holds a Press Conference as Liu Feng Returns to Ireland

    Irish Senator Mr. David Norris, the spokesman of Amnesty International in Ireland Mr. Jim Loughran, Deputy Mayor of Dublin City Mr. Andrew Montague, and South Dublin County Councillor Mrs. Ruth Coppinger attended the press conference and expressed their points of view. They have all actively taken part in the rescue efforts to release Liu Feng.
  • United Kingdom: Practitioners Hold Anti-Torture Exhibitions in Edinburgh

    On the 24th and 25th of July, British Falun Gong practitioners held a two-day live exhibition of simulating torture scenes in Edinburgh. After listening to practitioner’s tell them about the five-year campaign of genocide against Falun Gong in China, kind-hearted Scots were shocked! They could not believe that this brutal persecution is still happening in the 21st century.
  • Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners Attend a Multicultural Festival in Munich

    On the 19th of July, Falun Gong practitioners took part in a multicultural festival, which was conducted by the Cultural Office of Munich City Hall. Dafa practitioners in Munich applied for a stall to display information about Falun Dafa and tell people about the five-year campaign of genocide against Falun Gong in China.
  • Russia: Parade and Anti-Torture Exhibition in Moscow Calling for the End to the Persecution of Falun Gong

    After holding a peaceful appeal at the Chinese Embassy on July the 20th, 2004, to mark five years of the Jiang regime’s persecution of Falun Gong, Dafa practitioners organised a parade in Moscow. The parade ended in the busiest Square where practitioners demonstrated Falun Gong exercises and held a live anti-torture exhibition as well as a poster display.
  • Radio Free Asia: Falun Gong Hold Activities Around Europe to Protest Against Five Years of Persecution

    On 20th July 1944, Claus Schenk Graf von Strauffenberg planted a bomb in a briefcase in a conference room where Hitler was meeting with top military aides. The bomb exploded but Hitler escaped with only minor injuries. Later on, about 180 to 200 plotters were rounded up, tortured and executed by the Gestapo. By coincidence, on 20th July 1999, millions of people’s lives were turned upside down due to the brutal persecution against Falun Gong, orchestrated by the Chinese Communist Party dictator Jiang Zemin.
  • Ireland: Liu Feng Successfully Rescued and Returned to Ireland

    Falun Gong practitioner Liu Feng, who was studying in Ireland, has been successfully rescued and returned to Ireland. Liu Feng and his wife arrived in Dublin this week. On Thursday this week, a press conference will be held in Trinity College to inform and express thanks to all circles of society about Liu Feng’s return.
  • Fadu in Sweden (7): Positive Media Report in Valberg

    On the 11th of June 2004, Sweden’s Hallands County newspaper published reports about Zhizhen Dai and little Fadu on the front and second page, together with two large pictures.Journalist Ms Martinsson reported in her article the intention of this mother and daughter coming to Scandinavia and the persecution they have suffered. The report said four years ago, her husband was persecuted to death for being a Falun Gong practitioner.
  • Norway: Practitioners hold an Anti-Torture Exhibition and Receive Positive Media Coverage

    On the 23rd and 24th of July 2004, practitioners from Norway, Sweden and Demark held a two-day exhibition of some of the torture methods that the Jiang Regime uses to force Falun Gong practitioners in China to give up their beliefs. The exhibition involved acting out these torture methods and took place at the Parliament buildings and the city centre.
