United Kingdom: Practitioners in Edinburgh Commemorate Six Years of Persecution

On July 20th 2005, the official starting date for the Chinese Communist Party’s campaign of terror and persecution against Falun Gong, practitioners in Edinburgh held an all-day appeal outside the Chinese Consulate. All over the world, commemorative activities called for an end to the torture that has taken the lives of over 2,600 innocent practitioners. -

Some asked for leaflets, some learned the exercises from practitioners and others learned how to make the paper lotus flowers. Many people were interested in the lotus flowers, admiring the care and attention that had gone into making them. -
Russia: Promoting Falun Gong in Stavropol City

Practitioners practised the exercises in a local park. People who were interested in learning were taught on the spot. Many of them were young people. At the beginning, they were a little hesitant. But they all joined the exercise group later on. Some of them even learned how to do the meditation with their legs crossed in the double lotus position. -

United Kingdom: The “Saying Good-Bye to the CCP” Alliance Attracted a Lot of Attention during the G8 Summit

This year’s G8 summit in Edinburgh attracted international attention because the summit was to discuss the issue of world poverty. Before the summit, over 22,000 people attended the “Make Poverty History” parade. Among many protest groups, the “Saying Good-Bye to the CCP” Alliance attracted special attention. -
France: People in Normandy are Concered about the Persecution Suffered by Falun Gong Practitioners in China

On the 7th July 2005, French practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition in Lisieux to let more people know about Falun Gong and the human rights abuses being carried out against practitioners in China. They simulated some of the barbaric torture methods used by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in attempts to force practitioners in China to renounce their beliefs. -
Czech Republic: People Show Their Support for Practitioners' Anti-persecution Efforts

Two days before the summer holiday began, on July 1st and 2nd 2005, Czech practitioners once again met in the two cities of Ceska Lipa and Litomerice. It was cloudy with light rain, but we felt the local people’s concern about learning the Falun Gong exercises and the efforts of practitioners to stop the persecution happening in China. Germany: Berlin Candlelight Vigil in Memory of Gao Rongrong

On the 16th of June 2005, Gao Rongrong lost her life in China through unimaginable, brutal and inhumane torture by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). On the 7th of July, Falun Gong practitioners from Berlin and Leipzig gathered at the Breitscheidtplatz and held a candlelight vigil to commemorate her murder. -
Germany: Introducing the Falun Gong Exercises During a Cultural Event in Wiesbaden

On July 8th, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners from nearby areas were invited to take part in the annual Wiesbaden town district cultural event. One of the categories for the event was entitled “Martial Arts, Healing and Meditation”, which Falun Gong practitioners participated in, introducing the fives sets of slow-moving and peaceful Falun Gong exercises. -

On this year’s National Day, July 13th 2005, four representatives from the French Falun Gong Association were invited to a Garden Party at the Ministry of Overseas Department. -
Germany: Exposing the CCP’s Crimes in Hamburg
2005-07-17Hamburg’s “Stadteilfest Altonale” was celebrated on the weekend of June 18th and 19th 2005. Falun Gong practitioners participated in this event to let people know about the Falun Gong practice and the severe human rights abuses that are being inflicted on practitioners in China by the Communist Party. Practitioners from Hamburg and surrounding areas of Bremen, Bielefeld and even Denmark, participated in this activity. We began the activities by first sending righteous thoughts, while a small group demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises. Passers-by were attracted to this activity and enjoyed watching the exercises. -
Latvia: Appeal at the Chinese Embassy for an End to the Persecution Against Falun Gong Practitioners

Falun Gong practitioners in Latvia staged a peaceful appeal at the Chinese Embassy to raise public awareness of the six years of cruel persecution against the practice in China. Many people accepted flyers from the practitioners. After hearing the facts about Falun Gong, they expressed their sympathy to the persecuted practitioners and hoped that this persecution can end as soon as possible. -
France: In the Square of Human Rights in Paris, French Practitioners Promote Falun Gong and Expose the Persecution

On the 3rd of July 2005, Falun Gong practitioners in France held activities to promote Falun Gong and expose the persecution on Human Rights Square right opposite the Eiffel Tower. Tourists from all over the world queued up to sign a petition calling for an end to the persecution. Some of them got a practitioner to teach them the Falun Gong exercises on the spot.
