  • European Falun Dafa Association Writes in Support of the Council of Europe Resolution

    "We hereby express our strong support for the resolution condemning the crimes of totalitarian communist regimes being raised in PACE. Being the largest group suffering persecution by the communist regime in China, we are very familiar with the crimes of communist dictatorships mentioned in the report by Mr. Göran Lindblad.   • Norway: Practitioners from Thailand Arrive in Norway

    On January 26th, the eight Falun Gong practitioners who were unreasonably arrested by Thai police bowing to pressure from the Chinese Embassy to Thailand arrived in Norway. They were excited to set foot on this land of freedom; however, they said that tens of millions of other Falun Gong practitioners are still subjected to cruel persecution.
  • People Gather in Stockholm to Support the Council of Europe’s Resolution Against Communist Crimes

    The Council of Europe held a meeting in Strasbourg to discuss and vote on a resolution condemning the crimes of communist regimes worldwide. To express support for this resolution, people in Stockholm met at Normanstorg square. Some practitioners also attended to talk about the persecution against Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party.
  • European Friends of Falun Gong Highlight the Recent Assault Opposite the London Chinese Embassy

    "We hope that the perpetrator of this attack will be brought to justice by the due course of the law of the land. He will of course be afforded a fair trial, all the evidence will be fully considered before any conviction. That is the way it should be. Contrast this with the way Falun Gong practitioners in China have been dealt with, tortured to death and locked away in prisons and labour camps with little chance of release, and certainly with no fair trial."
  • United Kingdom: Falun Gong Practitioners Attend 2006 New Year's Day London Parade Award Ceremony at Westminster Town Hall

    On January 3rd 2006 two London Falun Gong practitioners attended a New Years Day Award Ceremony for the participants of the London Parade. The Falun Gong group entry received a commemorative plaque and a certificate presented by the Lord Mayor of Westminster in recognition and appreciation of their participation in the parade.

    In spring 2005, we contacted several libraries in Lapland and made enquiries about holding a Falun Gong photo exhibition. Most people knew about Falun Gong already and even those who didn’t were interested to hold the exhibition and find out more. Because of the great interest we continued to hold the photo exhibition in late autumn.

    Berlin Falun Gong practitioners erected an information booth at the Breitscheidplatz. The information booth was used to help more people learn about Falun Gong and the six years of persecution that practitioners have endured. Practitioners had the opportunity to have many good discussions with people of all ages who wanted to hear more about Falun Gong.
  • Ukraine: Parade to Condemn the Crimes Committed by Communist Regimes

    Enduring temperatures of less than minus 20 degrees, the Kremenchuk citizens held a parade supporting the Council of Europe’s ‘Draft Resolution to Condemn the Communist Party’s Crimes’. The parade also highlighted how over seven million people, the bulk of who are from China, have withdrawn from the Communist Party and its affiliated organisations.
  • EFGIC: London Falun Gong Practitioner Assaulted by Chinese Embassy Partygoer

    LONDON (EFGIC) A female Chinese Falun Gong practitioner was punched in the head by a Chinese man while she sat in meditation at the 24 hour ongoing Falun Gong protest opposite the Chinese Embassy in Portland Place W1 around 9 pm of 24th January. Speaking to reporters, Ms Gao Yudong said: “the bruise on the side of my head caused by the blow felt very hot. By the next morning I started to feel pain, and I could feel a swelling on my head. During the day at work, my head felt painful and numb. I had difficulties concentrating.”

    UK practitioner Li Heping was a victim of “The Same Song”. In 2001, Li was illegally sent to a labour camp where the police would play “The Same Song” when he was tortured. To this day, upon hearing “The Same Song”, he relives painful experiences along with the mental anguish that is associated with the brainwashing music.
  • The Epoch Times: Council of Europe Parliament Condemns Human Rights Violations by Communist Regimes

    LONDON—The Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) condemned on Wednesday the human rights violations committed by totalitarian communist regimes and expressed sympathy, understanding and recognition for the victims of these crimes. The Assembly passed a resolution, which censured violations such as executions, deaths in concentration camps, torture, slave labour, and starvation committed by communist regimes..."Totalitarian communist regimes are still active in some countries of the world and crimes continue to be committed," the resolution said. "The Assembly strongly condemns all those violations of human rights."

    She said she used to live in Manchuria in her childhood. World War II made her an orphan. After the war, she stayed in Manchuria for a period of time before returning to Japan. Because of the lapse of time she had almost forgotten Chinese completely. I pondered how to take advantage of this precious opportunity to tell her the truth of the persecution against Falun Gong in China. Without any Japanese or English leaflets to hand, all that I could resort to was using simple dialogue and writing on paper, hoping that she could understand.

    Ukrainian Falun Gong practitioners held a painting exhibition in a small farming village from January 20th to the 22nd. They introduced to the villagers the rapid spread of Falun Gong throughout the world and the truth of the persecution against Falun Gong by the Chinese communist regime in China. Paintings by practitioners were on display in the exhibition.
