  • France: Report on Paris Tour to Expose the Truth - Place Félix Eboué

    Erected in 1867, Fontaine aux Lions (Fountain of the Lions) is situated in the centre of the 12th District of southern Paris, where it is tranquil and peaceful with lots of shady greenery. This is also the usual place for citizens of the 12th District to take a walk. French practitioners held an activity here to introduce Falun Dafa on July 30th.
  • United Kingdom: Thought-Provoking "Stories in the Pictures"

    On the first day of the Edinburgh Festival, UK Falun Gong practitioners held an open-air concert called “Rescue Orphans of Falun Gong Practitioners”. A small female choir sang songs based on the stories behind three paintings entitled, "Homeless", "Why?" and "Come Back Daddy". A narrator explained the stories in the pictures to the onlookers in detail.
  • United Kingdom: "Rescuing Orphans" Concert on Prince’s Street in Edinburgh

    In order to draw attention to the plight of the orphaned children of Falun Gong practitioners, who have been tortured to death in China, Falun Gong practitioners held a non-profit concert in St. James Square off Princes Street. The on-going persecution has affected many innocent Chinese children, whose parents have been killed or imprisoned
  • Finland: People of Helsinki Learn the Truth about the Persecution of Falun Gong

    On July 20th 1999, China’s head of state Jiang Zemin branded 100 million innocent citizens as criminals. Fearing that Falun Gong’s widespread popularity was overshadowing his own, Jiang ordered that this traditional practice should be “eradicated”. The Falun Dafa Information Centre has verified details of 2,676 deaths since the persecution began.
  • United Kingdom: Activity During Edinburgh Festival to Rescue Orphaned Children of Falun Gong Practitioners Receives the Support of Many People

    In order to promote the rescue of the orphaned children of Falun Gong practitioners, UK practitioners held an activity on the opening day of the Edinburgh Festival. Practitioners used various means to let people know about the persecution and to appeal for support including Falun Gong exercise demonstrations and a petition signature collection.
  • Croatia: On July 20th, a Memorial Service in Zagreb Generated Great Media Interest

    Many months ago we decided that on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the persecution we would hold a memorial day in Zagreb. Practitioners from all over the world offered their help. Two excellent articles about our event were published in two of Croatia’s largest newspapers the next day.
  • An Italian MP Asks, "What Can I Do for You?"

    From July 10th to 17th, practitioners from Italy and Germany held three activities in Rome. There were crowds of people in Rome during July. Many touring groups from China were shocked when they saw so many western Falun Gong practitioners. Some asked for materials, while more of them excitedly took pictures.
  • United Kingdom: Falun Gong Group Won a Prize in the Edinburgh Festival Cavalcade

    The 7th of August 2005 was the day of the 59th International Edinburgh Arts Festival in Scotland. Falun Gong practitioners once again attended the festival cavalcade and were awarded the best Specialty Prize. This is the fourth time that the Falun Gong group has received this prize since they started to participate three years ago.
  • Russia: Appealing for an End to the Persecution of Falun Gong in Moscow City Centre

    On the 6th of August 2005, Russian Falun Dafa practitioners gathered in Moscow city centre, calling on the public to pay attention to and help stop the brutal persecution against the Falun Gong spiritual practice by the Chinese Communist Party. People signed a petition calling for an end to the human rights abuses.
  • Germany: A Falun Gong Practitioner Handed a Petition to the President

    On the first day of their holiday, President Koehler publicly invited local people and tourists to visit the Arber with him and climb to the peak of the hill. On learning the news, local Falun Gong practitioners felt that this was a good opportunity to see the president on such an occasion and tell him about Falun Gong face to face while handing him a petition.
  • Seminar on Communism and Democracy held at the United Nations in Geneva

    A Communism and democracy seminar was held by an international inter-faith organisation at the United Nations. Several organisations took part in the seminar. Russian writer Mr. Marejko, former Xinhua news agency journalist Mr. Bao Zhang Wu, a Chinese student in Switzerland and The Epoch Times journalist Mr. Grangier were invited to give speeches at the meeting.
  • Sweden: Children Perform the Lotus Garden at a Folk Music Festival

    Between the 14th and 16th of July, children from different parts of Sweden performed a dance called Lotus Garden during a folk music festival in the Swedish county of Dalarna. The young dancers, aged between four and ten years old, moved slowly and beautifully to sounds inspired by traditional Chinese music. Hundreds of people passed through the area.
  • France: Falun Gong Practitioners were Invited to Attend the 29th International Congress on Law and Mental Health

    The University of Paris played host to the 29th International Congress on Law and Mental Health from July 2nd to 8th 2005. Experts, academics and witnesses to the persecution of Falun Gong were invited to attend the mental health summit and talk about persecution against the practice.
  • Russia: Practitioners Let People Know the Truth

    A lot of pedestrians stopped in front of the exhibition boards and looked carefully. They raised various kinds of questions to our practitioners and wanted to understand more about the persecution. One old lady spent a long time in front of the exhibition boards that exposed the cruel torture. After having finished reading the introduction, she touched softly those practitioners being tormented in the pictures while shedding tears. She showed sympathy and concern about the persecution of good people. People in front of the exhibition boards were moved by her.
  • Italy: Rome Officials Do Not Bow to Pressure from the Chinese Embassy

    A series of important cultural activities were held in Rome’s famous University of La Sapienza. This cultural activity covered various performances such as sports, arts, general science and human rights issues. Many organisations, including Amnesty International, were invited and joined the activity.
