FAW-Volkswagen Automobile Company, Ltd., located in Jilin City, Jilin Province, is financed and managed jointly by the China FAW Group and Volkswagen AG Germany. It has over 3,000 employees. Since July 20, 1999, this company has expelled over a dozen employees for practising Falun Gong. -
Injection with Unknown Substance at Brainwashing Centre Causes Mental Disorder
2003-08-29At the brainwashing centre in Maoming City, Guangdong Province, an unknown substance was injected into the heads of determined Dafa practitioners. As a result, many practitioners suffered from mental disorder and could not even stand up. Some of the practitioners were later illegally sent to the Sanshui Labour Camp in Guangdong Province. -

2003-08-28Tortures such as forced squatting for extended periods, lashing with leather straps, forcing practitioners to jump like a frog while hands and legs were shackled, etc. were used. More inhumanely, in the cold winter, the police poured water on the ground to make ice and then forced practitioners to lie face-down on the icy surface to freeze. The hands and legs of many detained practitioners became so swollen from the tortures that they were unable to walk; the handcuffs and shackles cut into their flesh, causing bleeding and infection, which became necrotic due to lack of medical care. -

Later, people from the "610 Office" went to the Huadu Labour Camp, forced Mr. Huang Guohua to sign his name, and cremated Luo's body. Currently Luo's husband, Huang Guohua, is still detained and being tortured in the Huadu Labor Camp in Guangzhou City, and their young daughter is under her grandparents care. -
Dafa Practitioner Mr. Peng Shiqing Disabled From Severe Beatings by "610 Office" Agents
2003-08-28One winter night, after drenching Peng Shiqing with cold water, he was forced to kneel on the floor for several hours. While he was down, they set one leg of a heavy desk on his foot, a torture that caused him to suffer tremendous pain. In later interrogations, agents of the "610 Office" beat him so badly that they broke one of his legs, which never healed correctly and causes him to walk with a severe limp. Although it has been a year and a half since his detention, Peng Shiqing's family members have been denied visitation, due to fear that the atrocities of the "610 Office" would be exposed. -
The Inside Story of Persecution Against Falun Gong Practitioners Detained in Hulan Prison
2003-08-28The police and head prisoners conspired. They agreed if the prisoners were successful in getting a practitioner to renounce his or her belief, they would be given credits and the prisoners would receive sentence reductions. They also implied that the prisoners could use any means to achieve results with the practitioners. If the prisoners were not successful in obtaining renunciations from the practitioners, they were to receive punishment, including reduction in gained points. -

Practitioner Huang Lisha Tortured to Death by Police at the Pi County Detention Centre in Sichuan Province

Huang Lisha was taken to the Pi County Detention Centre on August 22. She went on a hunger strike to protest her arrest and was force-fed by a tube and given an infusion of unknown substances. In early September she was sent to the Qingyang District Hospital. There she received further intravenous infusions all day long until she passed away. -

2003-08-27In the morning of August 1, the "610 Office" special unit drove a white van onto Chongqing University premises to monitor the communications within the school and arrested all faculty who discussed this matter. That van was equipped with a complete set of modern equipment that can monitor wire and wireless communications. On the evening of August 3, the special unit officers arrested over a dozen Dafa practitioners on the Chongqing University campus. They were all faculty members and there were about two or three professors. -
Facts of the Persecution of Practitioners in the Beijing Women's Labour Camp
2003-08-27During 2001 and 2002, policemen arrested practitioners on a mass scale, regardless of age, health, or time of day or night. Some practitioners with symptoms of heart disease and blood pressure over 200 were taken away at will and put into labour camps. According to the law, people with serious health conditions cannot be sentenced to labour camps, but these labour camps were forced to accept them all. One practitioner who was paralysed from the waist down after an accident was sent straight to the Tiantanghe Hospital in Daxing District, where she was tortured. -
The Case of Practitioner Ms. Liu Shujun from Hengshui City of Hebei Province
2003-08-27In the detention centre, the head, Geng Zhanwu, beat her brutally, causing severe internal injuries in her heart and lower back. Later, she was sentenced to a two-year term of forced labour and was sent to Gaoying Labor Camp of Baoding City. She had been steadfast in her practise of Falun Dafa and has never yielded to official attempts to have her renounce the practise. After she was released from the labour camp, the "610 Office" of Hengshui City and the city police department tried several times to arrest her but failed in their attempts. -

My Experience of Appealing for Dafa Six Months After I Started Cultivation Practice
2003-08-26On the way to appeal, the Beijing policemen interrogated me. They took away my appeal letter and all of my money, and tried to force me to slander Dafa and Teacher. If you did not obey them, they would beat you up. After I was illegally detained for a couple of days, my work unit brought me back home. The public security office then asked for 3,000 Yuan as a penalty, and my work unit later laid me off.
