  • Did Fifty-Nine-Year-Old Mr. Chen Baihe Die as a Result of Being Poisoned in Jidong Prison?

    Mr. Chen Baihe, 59, served four years in prison for practising and talking to people about the truth behind the persecution of Falun Gong, despite the Chinese Constitution that states citizens have the right to freedom of religious belief and speech. When he was released in May 2010, his family discovered many alarming things about his health, including dull eyes, reticence, perpetual fatigue and sleepiness, slow response, memory loss, listlessness, weak legs, and red moles on his chest and back turned dark. Mr. Chen collapsed on September 17th, 2012. He was unconscious for 22 hours before he stopped breathing. When his body was cremated, the staff at the crematorium were shocked to see that his ashes were charcoal black. They said, “My goodness, his bones are so dark. He must have been poisoned!”
  • Mr. Guo Xiaowen Persecuted to Death in Jinzhong Prison, Shanxi Province

    Mr. Guo Xiaowen was a Falun Gong practitioner who was transferred to Jinzhong Prison (also known as Shanxi No. 1 Prison) around March 6th, 2013, where he was brutally beaten, subjected to solitary confinement, force-fed, and otherwise tortured. Within days, on March 12th, he was dead at the age of 40. His family saw two red marks on his head when they were viewing his body. As they were about to lift his clothes and check further, guards stopped them and chased them away. They only stayed with his body for a few minutes.
  • Ms. Wang Chunling, 52, of Henan Province Died after Seven Years of Persecution in Prison

    Ms. Wang Chunling passed away early in the morning on May 3rd, 2013. She was sentenced to ten years in prison in July 2004 and sent to Xinxiang Women's Prison in Henan. Details of the tortures Ms. Wang endured in prison are unclear. From Ms. Wang's limited recount and the fear on her face when the topic of prison was brought up, one can only speculate on the extent of the brutality.
  • An Outstanding Engineer's Sudden, Suspicious Death

    Mr. Li Hongkui was a mechanical engineer, who was named “Employee of the Year” over ten years in a row by the municipal and provincial government. Mr. Li was arrested on numerous occasions after the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched its persecution of Falun Gong in 1999. He was arrested once again on September 22nd, 2005, and then sentenced to seven years of imprisonment in Daqing Prison. In August 2012, Mr. Li's wife was informed that her husband was in hospital due to a cerebral haemorrhage. On August 28th, Mr. Li was recovering quickly from the operation, yet he died suddenly. His death occurred only 23 days before the end of his prison term. His physician exclaimed, “It's strange. I've never seen anything like this before...”
  • Mr. Yu Donghui Passed Away in 2011 after Twelve Years of Persecution

    Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yu Donghui was a teacher. He used to suffer from many illnesses, yet after he started practising Falun Gong , his illness symptoms disappeared. After the persecution of Falun Gong began in 1999, Mr. Yu endured constant harassment from the Nankang Police Station, the Domestic Security Division, and the Nankang Police Department. He was arrested and detained in the Liaoyuan Detention Centre, Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp in Changchun City, and Shilingzi Prison in Siping City. He was sentenced to nine years in prison on May 12th, 2008. Mr. Yu passed away on December 17th, 2011 as a result of forced labour and brutal persecution in Shilingzi Prison.
  • Hebei Police Officer Wang Kun Boasts of Having Used All Torture Methods Published on the Minghui Website

    Police officers Cheng Xing and Wang Kun of the Yongnian County Domestic Security Team, Hebei Province are known for their viciousness in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. In 2012, Wang Kun boasted while beating practitioners, “I have used all the torture methods published on the Minghui website. Please feel free to sue me.”
  • His Entire Family Persecuted, Mr. Liu Zhanyu, 57, from Inner Mongolia Dies

    Mr. Liu Zhanyu died on January 18th, 2013, in Yingkou City, Liaoning Province. His death was the result of years of brutal persecution by the Chinese Communist regime at the Weiningying Forced Labour Camp, simply because he and his family upheld their belief in the peaceful cultivation practice of Falun Gong. before his death, as a result of severe repeated torture, Mr. Liu's right arm became disabled. He lost his memory because of the electrical shocks and also from being beaten frequently on his head. Mr. Liu was so traumatised by the persecution that he was unable to recover his health.
  • Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners Still Rampant in Jilin Province Women’s Forced Labour Camp

    Jilin Province Women’s Forced Labour Camp has a notorious reputation for brutally persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Ms. Wang Lanying was subjected to various tortures such as standing still without moving for long hours, being beaten and cursed, and shocked with electric batons. She was also tied to a bed and subjected to the torture method known as “the stretching bed” on September 10th, 2012. Ms. Wang was repeatedly tortured this way. She was tied and stretched across a bed without her body touching the bed, for 36 hours the first time and more than 20 hours the second time. Months later Wang Lanying has still not recovered and is unable to walk by herself.
  • Firsthand Account of Atrocities Taking Place in Division 3 of Masanjia Women's Forced Labour Camp

    A 63-year-old practitioner was forced to squat on a brick floor for long periods of time and her feet became numb. Division head Zhang Jun came over and violently kicked her feet. Shi Yu, head of the labour camp at the time, a male head, and a number of young officers rushed in and out of the cells where practitioners were detained every day, abusing and torturing them. Practitioner Ms. Yu Jie was tortured with “stretching.” Her hands were cuffed, and when Zhang Jun shouted, “Stretch,” the guards would pull the handcuffs hard sideways, until she was hanging suspended in the air and passed out from the pain.
  • Mr. Li Riqing Died in 2008 at a Psychiatric Hospital

    Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Riqing was arrested three times by police for practising Falun Gong. He was sent to Xiangtan Psychiatric Hospital each time for long-term torture. He died there as a result of torture in 2008, at the age of 56. In 2000, Mr. Li was arrested for appealling against the persecution of Falun Gong and sent to the Xiangtan Psychiatric Hospital. When he refused to renounce Falun Gong, medical staff and force fed Mr. Li and injected him with antipsychotic drugs, shocked him with electric batons, and handcuffed and beat him.
  • Mr. Zeng Haiqi Dies from Torture at Jinshi Prison

    Mr. Zeng Haiqi was a Falun Gong practitioner from Hunan Province, China. He was sentenced to prison for practising Falun Gong and died in prison on April 26th, 2013. His family received a call from Jinshi Prison on April 25th that he was dying from cirrhosis and renal failure. Mr. Zeng's family was puzzled, as he had been perfectly healthy ever since he started practising Falun Gong. When Mr. Zeng's family saw his body, they saw injuries all over it. His body was swollen. There were bruises on his upper body. There was blood on his genitals and on his buttocks. His family was outraged, “He must have died a most painful death!” His family demanded a thorough investigation, but the prison insisted on examining the body for 20 days first.
  • Ms. Jin Junmei, a Woman With Disabilities, Beaten in Prison

    Ms. Jin Junmei, 57, a woman with disabilities from Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, was on the verge of death when she started practising Falun Gong. All of her illnesses have since disappeared. She was arrested by police officers from the local Domestic Security Division on August 1st, 2012 and taken to the Gansu Province Women's Prison. She was beaten in January 2013 and her face was badly injured.
  • Slave Labour at Liaoning Women's Prison—Products Exported to Korea, Canada

    I would like to share on how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) profits by forcing Falun Gong practitioners to do slave labour while imprisoned. Liaoning Women's Prison makes products for the Shenyang Anna Garment Group and the Shenyang Zhonghe Clothing Co., Ltd. The clothing made includes skinny jeans, checkered shirts, shorts, and skirts. Everyone is forced to work 12 hours per day, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. All three meals are to be eaten in the workshop. Completing their work quota is critical in order to avoid penalties, such as not being able to buy daily supplies, standing or squatting for long periods of time, or beatings.

    Most people who witness scenes of solitary confinement, hanging by cuffs, electric shock, forced-feeding, beating, tiger bench torture, death bed torture, prolonged hard labour, or the many other horrifying tortures used against Falun Gong practitioners in China, will definitely feel disturbed. Even the bloodiest scenes in movies or novels cannot compare to such an experience. But all these things are real-life occurrences, and they exist all around us.
  • Ms. Li Xintong in Critical Condition from Torture--Still Being Held in Changchun Women's Forced Labour Camp

    Ms. Li Xintong, from Jilin City, Jilin Province, has been detained in the Heizuizi Women's Forced Labour Camp of Changchun. Four months into her forced labour camp term, she was subjected to forced injections and drug administration, which caused severe heart disease symptoms, including marginal lung function resulting in restricted oxygen intake, heart palpitation, heavy breathing, and stiffness in the chest. Camp authorities refused to acknowledge her critical condition and refused to release her for medical treatment. Ms. Li's husband Yu Hong, her father Li Zhijun, and mother Guo Hongqin were also arrested at the same time as Ms. Li.
