Grieving 13 Year-Old Son of Practitioners Left Alone, as Father Tortured to Death and Mother Incarcerated Forced Labour Camp

Dafa practitioner Xu Shufen is an elementary school teacher of the No. 1 Elementary School of Daqing Petroleum Company. On June 20 2000, Xu Shufen was practising the exercises in a park in Daqing City, Heilongjiang province, when she was illegally detained by the Longfeng Public Security Division. She was released on August 4. On December 15, she was kidnapped after she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. On January 18, 2001, She was sent to Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Centre, where she was held for about 14 months.

During Xu Shufen's detention, her husband was tortured to death on December 14, 2001, tragically leaving their 13-year-old son home alone. After her release, she was restricted from teaching, and was forced to do errands for the reception area. http://www.clearharmony.net/articles/200202/2990.html

It was said that Xu Shufen recently wrote to the police at the Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Centre to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa, and consequently, was taken into custody by the staff of the Centre, and was sent to a forced labour camp for one year.

Her child is currently at home, alone and unsupervised. We hope that practitioners will assist them, and that international human rights organisations will investigate the situation.
