Practitioners Frequently Lose Consciousness As Police Try Extract "Confessions" Through Torture

Authorities from Nanyang Xinye County National Security Division often draw up internal lists of people to be interrogated. They then interrogate and torture those on the list, one by one, to extort confessions. Being afraid that people may learn of their crimes, they carried out their torture to extort confessions in the fields of Gangnan, far away from the city. They detained and interrogated Falun Gong practitioners Liu Chune (female) and Liu Zhonghua there for seven days. The practitioners were beaten until their bodies were badly swollen and covered with wounds and bruises. At the end, the practitioners could not even see.
The vicious policeman frenziedly beat Yang Dezhou, who came from Nanyang to Xinye, and kept torturing him for five days and four nights. The victims also include Naying (female), Qi Zuqin (female) and over a dozen other practitioners.
The torture methods that the vicious police applied to Falun Gong practitioners included: clamping fingers or toes with pliers, whipping them on the back of their hands with narrow bamboo sticks, forcing practitioners to wear handcuffs and shackles, then handcuffing both their hands in front of the lower legs to make the elbows and hamstrings parallel to each other. They then inserted a big stick, as thick as the diameter of a bowl, between the hamstrings and elbows, with the ends of the stick protruding. Two officers then forcefully pushed this stick downwards. In a short time, the victim would be covered with so much sweat that his clothes became drenched, suffering acute pain and even vomiting. If the victim fainted during the torture, cold water would be splashed on him to revive him before the next round of torture. The tortures would last at least one day and could last up to seven or eight days. The victim would often lose consciousness, lose their appetite and not be able to sleep due to the intolerable pain.

The police also extorted money from the practitioners. Security Division Chief Li Yanfu and Deputy Chief Li Bin fined Falun Gong practitioners heavily. During a three-year period, these two people fined Meng Zhaoqi over 40,000 Yuan [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China; the income in rural areas is a mere 200 Yuan a month, or the equivalent of $23.50]. Wang Qiankun was fined over 20,000 Yuan. Deputy Chief Li Bin extorted from Zhao Wenyu 100,000 Yuan in a single fine, totally bankrupting Mr. Zhao. They were still not satisfied, however. The police arrested Zhao and his wife, and then cruelly tortured them.

Mr. Zhao was tortured for seven days and lost consciousness seven times. Each time the police splashed cold water onto him to revive him, and then continued the torture. They were extremely cruel. The couple's child was left at home alone.

The police did not issue any receipts for their heavy fines. It was common knowledge that they had already extorted more than 1,300,000 Yuan in fines from Falun Gong practitioners. They used this money to buy cars and pay for extravagant feasts. Li Yanfu and Li Bin boasted widely, "If we did not extort this money, how could we decorate the office? How could we have luxury cars? How could we enjoy high-class entertainment?" They even hinted to the practitioners' family members they would accept bribes. If the offered bribe was not enough, Li Bin simply went to the practitioner's home to extort more.

Even all of this could not change the steadfast righteous thoughts of practitioners towards Falun Dafa. In their hearts, there is only one belief, "Falun Dafa is good!" Falun Dafa practitioners are resisting the evil persecution with their steadfast faith and appealing for Falun Dafa with their actions.

"Good is rewarded with good and evil will meet with evil" is a heavenly law. History will pronounce just and fair judgment.
