Ms. Wang Zhihong, a Falun Gong practitioner from Taiyuan, Shanxi Province was forcibly taken by staff at her workplace to the brainwashing centre at Shanxi Province Men's Forced Labour Camp in Xindian.

It was learned recently that agents from different levels of 610 Offices (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) in Taiyuan have been persecuting local practitioners. Several retired elderly practitioners were harassed at their homes and some have been forced to leave home to avoid the persecution.

Ms. Wang Zhihong, 48 years old, is a pharmacist at Shanxi Province People's Hospital. She works hard and never asks for any special benefits. She was arrested for practising her belief and taken to the brainwashing centre at the Zhencheng Forced Labour Camp in Taiyuan in March 2001. Later, she was sentenced to one year of forced labour. After she was released, she returned to work, but the hospital refused to pay her salary. They withheld her bonus as well.

The hospital staff tried to send Ms. Wang to a brainwashing centre again at the end of summer in 2010. Ms. Wang firmly resisted. The staff then subjected her to brainwashing at her workplace for over a month.

Ms. Wang was at work on August 25th, 2011. Between 6 – 7 p.m., she was forcibly taken by the hospital staff to the brainwashing centre at Shanxi Province Men's Forced Labour Camp in Xindian.
