In June 2010, Wang Weiwei, division head at Hebei Women's Forced Labour Camp, instructed inmates to sexually abuse Falun Gong practitioner Hu Miaomiao. The sexual abuse inflicted on Ms. Hu caused tremendous suffering, both physically and psychologically. In October 2010, Hebei Women's Forced Labour Camp commenced a new wave of persecution against Falun Gong practitioners. Those practitioners who remained steadfast in their belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance were not allowed to see their family members or make phone calls, and were forced to watch Chinese Central TV (CCTV) news reports every night.

At 7:15 p.m. one evening, the entire Division # 1 building in the forced labour camp was in an uproar. Division head Hou Junmei shouted in the hallway: “Ten days will be added to your term if you don't watch the CCTV news report.” They also had inmate Li Lingling go to every cell to force everyone to watch the CCTV news reports. They dragged Falun Gong practitioners to the hall to watch TV. Many practitioners have been severely persecuted.

Practitioner Zhou Jingrong from Xishanbei Village of Yi County was very weak. She could only stay seated on the small stool with her back against the wall or lean on the table, but Hou Junmei forced her to sit up straight in the hall to watch the CCTV news report. Ms. Zhou found it very difficult to remain seated and then had difficulty walking.

Tang County practitioner Zhang Chunxian protested his persecution in the forced labour camp. He refused to watch the CCTV news reports, refused to do the forced labour camps exercises, and refused to do the forced labour. As a result, he was taken to the storage room and made to stand for a long period of time. Zhang Chunxian told division head Wang Weiwei the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong and, as a result, his term was extended by 20 days.

Falun Gong Practitioner Ji Shujun Tortured by Forced-feeding

On November 24th, 2010, Falun Gong practitioner Ji Shujun from Chengde City in Hebei Province was pulled to the hall with her head down and was forced to stand for a long time in the hall. Ms. Ji went on a hunger strike to protest and was brutally forced-fed on November 26th. Division heads Wang Weiwei and Hou Junmei instructed inmates Zong Dongrong, Zhang Xu and Yan Xiuying to take Ms. Ji to the forced labour camp hospital for force-feeding. As a result, she is very weak.

Ms. Ji was often beaten by the guards and inmates, and was forced to stand for long periods. She suffered tremendously, both physically and psychologically. In November 2009, Hou Junmei tortured Ms. Ji by hanging her from the heating pipe in the toilet for four days and nights, for allegedly using the toilet without reporting to the guards.

Practitioner Zhao Furong Was Persecuted and Suffered from High Blood Pressure

In August 2010, prison guard Zhao Yali instructed drug addict Li Lingling to slap Mr. Zhao Furong while dragging him along the corridor. Mr. Zhao Furong and several other practitioners are detained even though they have high blood pressure of over 200.

Falun Gong Practitioner Wang Hui Couldn't Walk Upright Due to Brutal Torture

Ms. Wang Hui was too weak to stand and walk upright, so the monitor Wu Yanchun had to help her to the restroom. While going back to the cell, she threw Wang Hui to the ground and kicked her into the door. Sometimes Wu didn't help, so Wang Hui had to use a small plastic stool for support and crawl to the toilet.

Guard instructor Wang Weiwei told the prisoner who had been a thief, Wu Yanchun, to monitor Falun Gong practitioners 24 hours a day. She monitored practitioners Feng Xiaomei, Zhang Yun, Hu Miaomiao, Zhao Furong and Wang Hui and perpetrated numerous crimes against them.
