On the evening of July 24th, 2009, I was arrested along with several other fellow practitioners by Lizigou Police Station officers while we were delivering information about Falun Gong in Ji'an, Jilin Province. About six plainclothes officers arrived in two police cars, and did not provide any identification. Four of us were taken to the police station, and then interrogated separately. During my interrogation, the policemen cursed at me, humiliated me, kicked my legs, and cursed Falun Gong. After that, we were handcuffed to each other and not permitted to lie down or close our eyes. They made loud sounds to startle us when any of us closed our eyes. We were tormented this way for the entire night.

On the second day, we were transferred to the Ji'an Detention Centre. While Ms. Zhang Xuejie was being interrogated, a guard threw a bottle (filled with liquid) toward her head, stuck her with a pen, cursed and harassed her. Their yelling could be heard throughout the detention centre. The guards in the control room monitored the entire process without intervening. Ms. Wang Liyan was very quiet after her interrogation. Their interrogation methods included beatings, cursing, and humiliation.

We were placed on trial at the Ji'an City Court, so we hired a lawyer to defend us. The judge was unable to respond to our lawyer's defence, but the Ji'an Procuratorate and court still sentenced us to 4 months in a detention centre.

I was released after 4 months of detention. Both my physical and mental condition had deteriorated. After arriving home, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) members continuously harassed me.

On October 22nd, policemen from Public Security Bureau of Tonghua and Minzhu Police Station tried to arrest me again, but I escaped.
