Mr. Lei Jingxiong and Ms. Wu Shengying Severely Persecuted in Duyun Prison of Guizhou Province

Two Falun Gong practitioners from Chenzhou City, Hunan Province are currently detained in the Duyun Prison of Guizhou Province. Mr. Lei Jingxiong was arrested by the Duyun 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) and then subjected to eight years of imprisonment, and Ms. Wu Shengying was given a six-year prison term. While detained in the Duyun Prison, Mr. Lei was beaten so severely that he went into a coma. Ms. Wu was forcibly put under induced labour for her eight-month-old foetus. She went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution and lost consciousness a few times. She is currently very weak.

On June 28th, 2009, Mr. Lei Jingxiong, a 30-year-old practitioner from Jiahe County, Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, was arrested by officials from the Domestic Security Division. He was sentenced to eight years of imprisonment in 2010, and sent to the Duyun Prison. The guards beat him about the face, putting him in a deep coma. Mr. Lei later lost consciousness several times. Currently, he is in critical condition.

Mr. Lei applied for outside medical treatment, but the prison hasn't responded.

Mr. Lei Jingxiong's father, Mr. Lei Yuanjun, has continuously sent appeal letters to all levels of authority, but he has never received a response. In October 2010, he sent an express letter to the State Council. This appeal letter arrived at the State Council, but so far there has been no reply.

In July 2009, the couple, Mr. Xiao Sixian and Ms. Wu Shengying from Chenzhou City, was arrested. Officials of the Chinese Communist Party forcibly induced the birth of Ms. Wu's eight-month-old foetus, and then gave her a six-year term of imprisonment. They sent her to the Duyun Prison. Ms. Wu is domiciled in Hong Kong. After being arrested and persecuted, she insisted on her innocence and went on a hunger strike, requesting unconditional release. She is now very weak and has lost consciousness a few times.
