Recently, police officers in Donggang City climbed up the aerial ladder of a fire engine to break into the home of Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Wei in an attempt to arrest her. While Ms. Zhang's family was arguing with these police officers, she was able to escape.

Around 8:30 p.m. on August 31st, instructed by officials from the Donggang Police Department, Yu Shinian, the head of the Donggang Police Station, led several police officers as they attempted to arrest Ms. Zhang Wei again.

Yu Shinian and other plainclothes police officers pretended to be officials from the water company, and solicited Ms. Zhang's family to open the door for them. After the family refused, they used a hacksaw and tried to break the lock to the door of her home. Later, they drove a fire engine with an aerial ladder to her home. Four police officers climbed up the ladder and broke into Ms. Zhang's home, located on the 4th floor through the balcony.

The police officers forcibly handcuffed Ms. Zhang behind her back in the presence of her daughter and 10-year-old son. Yu Shinian quickly showed her his identification badge and said: “This is my ID, we are executing orders from higher levels.” Ms. Zhang asked him several times where they came from and what his name was, but Yu didn't tell her anything.

When Ms. Zhang's family members heard about this, they hurried to her home to condemn the police and their violent acts. Officers repeatedly stated that the head of the Donggang Police Department had instructed them to drive the fire engine. Ms. Zhang's family asked them why they had come to arrest Ms. Zhang, and what crime she had committed. They just repeatedly claimed that she knew why they had come for her, but they did not dare to mention Falun Gong. Her family members told the police that she is a good person, and they didn't have the right to arrest her. While the family and the police were arguing, Ms. Zhang was able to escape.

It wasn't clear how many police officers were waiting downstairs at that time. During their conversation, ten more officers arrived and those previous four officers, who had broken into Ms. Zhang's home, sneaked away. More than 100 people witnessed this entire process.
