At 4:00am, on Saturday January 18th, Falun Dafa practitioners from Sydney departed for Orange County to hold the first 2003 introduction class in Orange.

The regional newspaper, "Central Western Daily" had publicised the event in the Saturday edition. The report said:

Falun Gong is an ancient form of practice of refining the body and the mind through exercise and meditation. The benefits of practising Falun Gong are numerous and varied, ranging from improved health and new-found energy to mental clarity, stress relief and peace of mind. Yet, Falun Gong is different from most other similar activities because at the heart of the practice are the principles of the universe: truthfulness, compassion and forbearance. Through a combination of studying the books and performing the exercise, practitioners strive to become better people by embodying these principals in everything they do.

There are 100 million people practicing Falun Dafa around the world, in more than 50 countries. All activities of Falun Dafa are free. There is no charge to learn the exercises, and the book of the teachings (Zhuan Falun) can be downloaded free from the Internet at www.falundafa.org or purchased from leading book stores.

There is no membership and practitioners are free to practice at home or in groups in various towns and suburbs.

There are more than 30 practice sites in Sydney and now there is one in Orange, so that the people of Orange can benefit from this ancient practice.

The weekend activity was a great success. The people of Orange now have an opportunity to practice the principles of Truth, Compassion and Forbearance, and to gain the tremendous health benefits, mental clarity and peace of mind of Falun Dafa.
