On August 14, 2002, China and Australia held a Human Rights dialogue. At 8:00 a.m. Dafa practitioners from Sydney and other parts of the country gathered in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Canberra, holding large banners imprinted with words in both Chinese and English, "Falun Dafa," "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," and "Stop persecuting Falun Gong." Until 4:00 p.m., Dafa practitioners did the Falun Gong exercises and did Fa Zheng Nian [rough translation - Send Forth Righteous Thoughts] once every half hour. The sky of Canberra was clear and clean; warm sunshine made Canberra's winter like a spring. Our peaceful and righteous field attracted many passers-by to stop and watch. The driver of a mail van that was just coming out of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building waved to us and pressed his hands in Heshi [editor - pressing the 2 upright palms together in front of the chest] position to us. He than slowly drove the van by our exercise site. Australian Associated Press reporters came to videotape and cover our event.

It has been three years since Jiang Zemin's political scoundrel regime launched their brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Over 100,000 innocent practitioners have been put in jail, forced labor camps and mental hospitals. Thousands of practitioners have been tortured to death. The crimes not only sustain in China, Jiang Zemin's regime extended its persecution to overseas. In order to suppress the people in his own country, he used economic benefits to carry out a human rights trade with foreign countries. It could be proved by the facts that Iceland refused Falun Gong practitioners to enter the country and the blacklist in Hong Kong's Customs. Recently Jiang coerced Hong Kong government to bring false charge against 16 Falun Gong practitioners, which is widely recognized as a "political prosecution" and the crime committed to the humanity's justice and conscience.

On the occasion that China and Australia held a human rights dialogue, we call upon the Australian government and Australian people to urge Jiang Zemin's regime to immediately stop its persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, and immediately drop the "political trial" against the 16 Falun Gong practitioners.
