On the early morning of 7 August 2002, Falun Gong practitioners in Hamburg went to the Chinese Consulate to hold a peaceful appeal, calling on persons from all walks of life to pay attention to the sham trial that has been happening in Hong Kong.

At noon, the closed doors of the Chinese consulate suddenly opened and out came 6 consulate employees. I approached them with some duplicated letters of appeal to the Hong Kong government and said politely, “Please have a look, you will understand why we are here today.” The leading consulate member fiercely shouted, “Go away quickly”. He even said to me as he was walking into the building, “If you dare to come in, I’ll beat you!” Actually, I didn’t have the intention of entering at all.

I was astonished at his fierce and malicious manner and words. I turned to tell this matter to a policeman who happened to be at my side. I said, “This is Germany and, besides, police cars are parked nearby. How dare the consulate’s men use such uncouth intimidation towards a girl! Thus it can be seen that in China, how cruelly and fiercely the Chinese government will treat the defenceless practitioners!”

The policeman replied, “ They now persecute people everywhere. It is really vicious.”

What occurred in Hong Kong also meant that the vicious political clique of Jiang Zemin tried hard to install evil backstage manipulators abroad. At home, they cruelly persecuted the kind-hearted Falun Gong practitioners and abroad they, regardless of western society’s democracy and freedom, are using intimidation, bribery and violence to infringe on the western world’s human rights. In recent months, democratic societies such as Germany, Iceland and Hong Kong, under vicious pressure, have taken actions going against the principles of democracy and freedom.

The persecution of Truthfulness Compassion and Forbearance is tantamount to the persecution of the whole human race. All kind-hearted people - be silent no more and don’t look on unconcerned. Let us together stop the undeserving persecutions occurring in China, in Hong Kong, on your side and also on my side.
