Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yin Jinmei, from Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, suffered severe persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) including detention and forced drug administration. After she was released from the Nanchang Women's Forced Labour Camp in Jianxi Province, she was extremely weak, short of breath, had a poor appetite and could not sleep. She died on May 9th, 2012.

Subjected to Torture, Forced Labour and Injections of Unknown Substances

On February 16th, 2009, Ms. Yin was arrested by the local police after she spoke with people about Falun Gong. She was interrogated and tortured by being forced to to sit on an iron chair for long periods of time, which resulted in her hands becoming swollen to the size of her calves. Her feet were covered with bruises. On March 24th, 2009, Tian Ruhong and other officers from the State Security Division of the Lushan District Police Station, Jiujiang City sent Ms. Yin to the Nanchang Women's Forced Labour Camp in Jiangxi Province, where she was held for one and a half years.

At the labour camp, Ms. Yin persisted in practising the Falun Gong exercises and refused to give up her belief. The guards locked her in a solitary confinement cell and arranged for two drug addicts to monitor her day and night. The solitary cell was tiny and without ventilation. Ms. Yin used to be quite healthy but after she was detained in solitary confinement for a long period of time, she developed physical ailments including high blood pressure, heart problems, and shortness of breath.

The guards secretly added unknown drugs to her meals. One time, too much was mixed into her rice, and she found it. Later, on two occasions, six or seven guards held her down and forced the drugs into her mouth. A conscientious guard who saw this said, "She is still young and should not be given this drug." But they continued with the forced drug administration. One morning after she woke up, Ms. Yin found a dark purple mark the size of a coin on the back of her hand. In the middle of that spot was a needle mark, suggesting that she had been injected with something.

After Ms. Yin was released, she could not recover her health. She always felt extremely weak, short of breath, and lacked an appetite. She had high blood pressure, heart problems and uraemia. She suffered so much from these conditions that she could not sleep, and she nearly died several times. She was sent to a hospital for emergency treatment three times, the last time being around May 5th. Ms. Yin passed away four days later, on May 9th.

Nanchang Women's Forced Labour Camp Persecutes Falun Gong Practitioners with Unknown Drugs

In 2004, practitioner Ms. Liang Hongying, in her 60's, from Nanchang City, was persecuted by forced labour camp personnel to the extent that her blood pressure climbed to 280. The labour camp officials did not release her, however. Instead, they had drug addict inmates put unknown drugs into her food. She found out later and stopped them. During 2002 to 2005, a middle school English teacher was arrested and sent to this forced labour camp. She was persecuted to the point that she suffered a mental collapse. Except for the guards, nobody knew her real name or where she had come from. While she was held in the camp, she was beaten by the guards and some of the prisoners. She was also scalded with hot water.

Jiangxi Women's Forced Labour Camp No. 1 Division heads Lu Xiuying and Hong Chuanghua directed the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. They used various torture methods, including using toxic drugs, brutal forced-feeding, and inciting prisoners to beat practitioners. A guard named Huang He was directly involved in the persecution of practitioners using violent forced-feedings and other methods.
