Mr. Jiang, a previously healthy farmer, entered the Suihua City Labour Camp on October 30th, 2008. The Camp Administration recently notified his family that he had fallen into a coma. His family saw him in the Bei'an City Hospital with both legs covered with bruises and at the brink of death. Only a few days later, he died on August 26th, 2009.

On the morning of March 13th, 2003, Mr. Jiang was arrested by officers from the Shiquan Town Police Station. They ransacked his home, took away his Falun Gong books, recorder, and CD player. They took him to be detained for more than one year in the Bei'an City Detention Centre, and then sent him to the Suihua City Forced Labour Camp for a two-year term.

On July 4th, 2005, Director Zuo Shaoqiu of the Shiqun Town Police Station and Bei'an City Domestic Security agents arrested Mr. Jiang again and detained him in the Bei'an Detention Centre for one month. They also extorted 1,000 yuan1 from his family.

On August 3rd, 2008, five days before the Beijing Olympics, director Zuo Shaoqiu arrested Mr. Jiang, detained him for 15 days in the Bei'an City Detention Centre, and extorted another 1,000 yuan from his family.

On September 22nd, 2008. Mr. Jiang was harvesting in the field when he was arrested by officer Zuo again. Without notifying his family, the police took him to the Bei'an City Detention Centre. The police ransacked his home the next day. After being detained for 39 days, he was sentenced to two years of forced labour on October 30th, 2008 and taken to the Suihua City Forced Labour Camp. The Shiquan Town Police Station extorted 200 yuan from his family, saying it was a fee for the physical check-up.

When Mr. Jiang's family heard that Mr. Jiang was bedridden and could not take care of himself due to being tortured in the camp, they requested to visit him, but they were turned away.
