Poland: Candlelight Vigil Held to Commemorate April 25th Appeal

On April 25, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners from Poland held a candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese Embassy in Warsaw, commemorating the 10th anniversary of the "April 25" Appeal in Beijing.

Practitioners formed Chinese characters with candles and set up nine wreathes in memory of more than 3,000 practitioners who were tortured to death during the persecution. Many people were shocked; they stopped and asked what had happened. Practitioners spoke with them and passed out leaflets and other information materials.
