The Tumuji Forced Labour Camp in Inner Mongolia is a place where Falun Gong practitioners from the four eastern cities of Inner Mongolia are being detained. These cities are Hulunbeier City, Xing'an Meng, Tongliao City and Chifeng City.

In the Tumuji Forced Labour Camp, there are male and female groups. There are now over twenty Falun Gong practitioners detained there.

1.Persecution of Lu Zhiguo and Zhang Ting from Chifeng City

Lu Zhiguo, a Falun Gong practitioner in his 50s, is from Chifeng City. Around July 2006, he was detained on the fourth floor of the Tumuji Forced Labour Camp. In the summer, Lu Zhiguo was forced to wear heavy clothes. The door and windows were tightly closed with the electric heater turned on. The volume of the speakers was set to the maximum. Lu Zhiguo was tortured this way for more than a week.

Zhang Ting, is a fifty-five-year old Falun Gong practitioner from Chifeng. He was once cuffed and chained to a bed for nine days. Zhang Ting was released only when his blood pressure became seriously high. Several days later, both of his hands were cuffed behind his back and he was hanged that way for nine days and nights. His head was beaten and his teeth were knocked off in the Tumuji Forced Labour Camp. The bleeding on his head has not healed. Bi Guoqing (Police No. 1519084) knocked his wound with a pen which left a bare mark for a long time. Police officer, Lu Zhimin once designated several juvenile offenders to pour cold water on Zhang Ting. Evidence, including photos of his teeth knocked out, was taken from him by camp authorities. He was tortured even more thereafter.

2.Xu Qian from Chifeng was sent to the Sixth Team in the Tumuji Forced Labour Camp at the beginning of 2006. Several days later, Xu Qian left the forced labour camp with righteous thoughts and was arrested again in July. He was sent to the Seventh Team in the Tumuji Forced Labour Camp where he was detained in a small solitary apartment for over twenty days. Under the long-term high pressure, Xu Qian suffered from a serious heart disease. He was sent to Baicheng Hospital. The doctor suggested that he undergo triple by-pass surgery, or else he would be in a vulnerable condition.

On January 1st, 2007, Xu Qian had a heart relapse. He could not eat or drink for over ten days which lead his stomach to bleed. Xu Qian asked for medical treatment outside of the forced labour camp but was refused. Since Xu Qian had escaped before, the people in the Tumuji Forced Labour Camp spent 200,000 to 300,000 yuan1 to search for him. Later, the Sixth Team was terminated. It became the top one within the twelve forced labour camps in the city. In order to retaliate against Xu Qian, they refused to let him outside for medical treatment.

3.Zhou Jingwei from Zhalantun was detained in a small solitary apartment the same day he arrived at Tumuji. In the evening, he was taken to the Fourth Floor, the brainwashing base. Police officers Chen Qiang (Police No. 1519074), Bi Guoqing (Police No. 1519084), Lu Zhimin (Police No. 1519166), and Zhu Zhipeng took turns to brainwash him. They continuously insulted and threatened him. He was forced to stand continuously for half a month as punishment. Zhou Jingwei was only allowed to sleep a few hours per day. As a result, his legs became swollen and he suffered heart and stomach ailments, as well as hemorrhoids.
