On October 11th, 2007, policemen from the National Security Team of Xianghe County in Langfang City arrested Wang Jianming, MD, and detained him in the Langfang brainwashing centre. They claimed that they had to do this to protect the 17th Party Congress of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) that was being held at the time. The arrest was initiated by the authorities of the Xianghe County 610 Office1 and Xianghe Police Department. On December 28th, 2007, Dr. Wang was transferred from Langfang Brainwashing Centre to the forced labour camp in Shijiazhuang. The paperwork said that, this time, he was sentenced to two years of forced labour.

In 2001, Wang Jianming was sentenced to forced labour for the first time. The sentence was two years. The official institutions that were responsible for overseeing the carrying out of his sentence included Langfang City Forced Labour Camp and Handan City Forced Labour Camp. In 2002, he was sentenced to forced labour for the second time for one year and three months. He served his sentence at Shijiazhuang Forced Labour Camp. Moreover, Dr. Wang was also been detained in Xianghe County Forced Labour Camp and had a large amount of money extorted from him. The Xianghe County National Security Team extorted from him a total of more than 10,000 yuan2.

Dr. Wang still has scars from the torture he endured in the forced labour camps. Due to the unbearable pressure of this persecution, Wang Jianming's wife was forced to divorce him. That same pressure precipitated the recurrence of his father's illnesses, and he eventually passed away. Wang Jianming and his family have been persecuted like this because he follows the principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance."
