At noon on April 13th, dozens of Falun Gong practitioners rallied at the Federal Plaza in Washington DC to protest the CCP's crimes of eliminating evidence and deceiving the international community after the atrocities inside the Sujiatun Concentration Camp were exposed. At the same time, practitioners called on President Bush, the international community and media to support and join the IGFG's (Investigate Genocide of Falun Gong in China) efforts to go to China to conduct an independent investigation and collect evidence in order to stop the genocide and rescue the Falun Gong practitioners who are being slaughtered.

The CCP Is Trying to Eliminate All the Evidence

IGFG Washington spokesman Jeff Chen

At the rally, spokesman for the IGFG Jeff Chen said: "After the CCP's atrocities of harvesting organs in the Sujiatun Concentration Camp from living practitioners was exposed, it first spent three weeks eliminating all the evidence, then claimed that nothing like that has happened in Sujiatun and invited international media outlets to investigate onsite. Will anyone who knows a little about the CCP's nature of fabricating lies be fooled by this trick? Of course not. However, we will go to China to investigate."

Killing Continues

Washington, DC Falun Gong practitioner Dr. Huang said: "Since March 2006, several witnesses have testified that the CCP had set up a secret concentration camp in the Sujiatun district, Shenyang city. The camp has detained thousands of Falun Gong practitioners, harvested organs from living practitioners and then cremated their bodies to destroy evidence. Informants said that there are 36 concentration camps of this kind in China. An investigation shows that the CCP is speeding up its efforts to destroy all evidence. This means that practitioners detained in all these 36 concentration camps, thousands of labour camps, jails and hospitals are facing death at any time.

Victims of Persecution Testify at the Rally

Jane Dai and her daughter Fadu testified to the atrocities of the CCP

Australian citizen Jane Dai attended the press conference with her 6-year-old daughter Fadu. She recounted how her husband was beaten to death by the CCP for upholding his belief in Falun Dafa.

Jane said: "The thing I fear most is when my daughter asks me: 'Why is daddy not here?'"

Jane called on all kindhearted people around the world to help end this killing.

Yuzhi Wang was once detained and tortured at the Wanjia Labour Camp in Heilongjiang province. She was later rescued to Canada. Yuzhi recounted her experience at the camp: "Since the atrocities inside the Sujiatun Concentration Camp were exposed, the organ harvesting from living practitioners reminded me of many things in the Wanjia labour camp. When I was persecuted almost to death and my eyes were nearly blind, I was taken to four major hospitals in Harbin for physical examinations. The results were consistent concluding that my organs were failing. If any of my organs had been good, I may not have had the opportunity to speak here."

Call for Independent Investigation

Mr. Chen said: "As direct victims of the persecution, to investigate the persecution from all aspects and stop it, it is very necessary and important for Falun Gong practitioners to go to China to investigate the actual situation. We invite international organisations, government agencies and media outlets to form a joint delegation with us to perform an independent investigation and collect evidence in China. We will not inspect the Sujiatun Concentration Camp, in which all evidence has been destroyed. We request an investigation of all jails, labour camps, hospitals and psychiatric hospitals. We not only wish to request charges of organ harvesting from living practitioners but also to investigate torture, rape, brainwashing and all other crimes committed against Falun Gong practitioners.

Call President Bush to Bring Up Two Requests to Hu Jintao

On behalf of IGFG, Mr. Chen called on President Bush to bring up two points during his meeting with Hu Jintao next week:

  1. Open up all of China's labor camps/jails/hospitals for international investigation.

  2. Allow IGFG to go to China and research the facts of the persecution of Falun Gong.
