Masanjia Forced Labour Camp Uses Cruel Means in Attempt to Brainwash Over 1300 Imprisoned Dafa Practitioners

In the 2nd Female Brigade of Masanjia Forced Labour Camp, more than 1300 Dafa practitioners are illegally detained. Instigated by the directors of the camp, Su Jing and Wang Naimin, the prison guards are committing criminal offences in persecuting Dafa practitioners. The methods they use are extremely cruel.

Every day, from 5 o'clock in the morning until 9 p.m., the prison guards force Dafa practitioners to sit on a board as a physical torture. During this period, they are not allowed to speak, nor are they allowed to leave the seat at all. Dafa practitioners who are determined to continue practising are subjected to various tortures. They are forced to undergo brainwashing; forced to stand or squat for long periods; forced to sit on hard, backless stools; and forced to wear shackles day and night. The guards also incite the collabourators [former Dafa practitioners who have turned against Dafa under pressure] to beat Dafa practitioners. If a Dafa practitioner begins a hunger strike to protest the persecution, the prison guards administer barbaric and violent force-feeding.

Since November 2002, the prison guards have been broadcasting audio recordings and videos that slander Dafa. In addition, they bind practitioners' hands and legs and force them to listen. Often practitioners are tortured until they lose consciousness. The collabourators then pour cold water on them. Once practitioners regain consciousness, more torture is inflicted upon them. The guards use electric batons to shock the practitioners, force them to sit on tiger benches [using small iron benches, usually some hard objects are inserted underneath the practitioner's lower legs or ankles to make it harder for them to tolerate this abuse], and prevent them from using the toilet.

In the forced labour camp, in order to specifically persecute Dafa practitioners, they built a sealed, iron-sheet room that does not have windows. It is difficult to breathe in this room. When some Dafa practitioners proclaimed, "Dafa is good," they were dragged into this room. No matter how loud one shouts, it cannot be heard outside; moreover, it is extremely stuffy. Some practitioners who steadfastly cultivate Dafa were imprisoned within the iron-sheet room and were tied up on a board where they would suffer, unable to move, for 24 hours a day. Practitioners will be forced to spend from over 10 days to one or two months like this and be unable to walk after coming out.
