The "Legal System School" in the Tianhe District of Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province is on the opposite side of the Tangde Residential Area located on East Guangyuan Road. The Jiang Zemin regime spent several million Yuan to build this concentration camp that is specifically designed to illegally detain and torture Falun Gong practitioners. The "Legal System School" is enclosed by several iron gates, and there is no sign or name on the entrance. All security officers enter the building wearing plain clothes and turn in their ID card. No outsiders know that it is a place where Falun Gong practitioners are being persecuted.

The brainwashing class in the school is directly controlled by the "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] and the National Security Office. Practitioners illegally arrested from all around the country, as well as practitioners who refuse to give up their practise upon the expiration of their original labour camp sentences are sent here for further persecution.

As soon as practitioners enter the door to the camp, they are locked up and not allowed to step out. They are strictly monitored twenty-four hours a day by cameras and audio-tape devices in the room. The warden walks around constantly to check on practitioners.

If practitioners refuse to give up their belief, they will suffer from various forms of torture. The police attempt to destroy their will and shake their righteous mind using an array of despicable means.

Persecutory tactics include forcing practitioners to watch videos that denounce Falun Gong. Each time after the video programme is over, collabourators [former practitioners who have turned against Dafa due to brainwashing and torture and now assist in the persecution] would persuade practitioners to denounce Dafa. In order to force practitioners to give up their belief, collabourators also threaten or curse at them. If these still do not work, practitioners will be forced to sit with their legs crossed and tied up together with their hands. They are not able to put down their legs even if they are in pain. Some collabourators even sit on practitioners' legs with their whole body weight. Sometimes they take turns brainwashing practitioners for several days straight while depriving them of sleep.

Ms. Zou Yuyun is among the most severely persecuted practitioners. She was illegally sentenced to one year in a labour camp in 2000. She was still detained in 2002, an entire year after her original sentence had expired. Because she was determined in practising Falun Gong, the police from the Southern Police Station in Tianhe District forcefully sent her to the brainwashing class. She has been sent to many different brainwashing classes and tortured there. Especially when she was in Huangpu brainwashing class, she almost died from the torture. In September 2002, she was once again sent to the Tianhe brainwashing class. At the concentration camp, collabourators often attacked her for ten or fifteen straight days. In addition, she was not allowed to sleep nor use the toilet for six or seven full days. As a result, she urinated in her pants, and the persecutors used it as an excuse to humiliate her. They also tied up her legs and hands until she fainted from the pain. Sometimes she was forced to remain standing for an entire day causing her feet swell up At present, she is still forced to sit facing the wall all day long, except for the times that she has to clean the floors of the classroom and hallway.. Even the one-hour free activity time was taken away from her.
