Falun Dafa practitioners run a weekly radio show in a UK university. The show allows many students and other people in the surrounding area to learn more about Falun Dafa and learn the truth about the persecution happening in China today. This week, the show began with a brief introduction to Falun Dafa. This said that Falun Gong can be described as a spiritual practice that takes the universal qualities of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance as its guidance. More specifically, Falun Dafa is a form of Qigong practice. Qigong practices are a traditional way of improving mental, spiritual and physical well being through slow, gentle, meditative movements.

Two songs by Swedish group Yellow Express were played for the listeners. Yellow Express hope to help people to learn more about the persecution of Falun Dafa in China through their music. The music of Yellow Express can be heard for free at http://www.mp3.com/yellowexpress. The two songs are called “Walk On” and “One way ticket back to the truth”. The singer/songwriter Anders Eriksson provides a message in every CD cover:

“During my trips to China (–96 to –99) I met many Chinese Falun Gong practitioners. Their pure minds and unselfish behavior made a very strong impression on me.” In the song “Walk On” I am trying to reach you who is reading this right now. I hope you can understand the severity, urgency and extent of this persecution.”

The broadcast finished on a serious note, giving facts and figures about the persecution of Falun Dafa including the death toll and number of incarcerated practitioners. The listeners were then given information on how they can help to stop the situation in China by contacting their MPs and logging on to the Dafa website to support the family rescue appeals.
