  • Germany: "For human rights and for you, I will sign my name"

    On July 12th, 2008, Dresden city centre, Falun Gong practitioners held an activity to support the 'Millions of Signatures' campaign, calling for an end of the CCP persecution of Falun Gong before the Beijing Olympic Games. People who understood the truth eagerly came to sign, condemning the persecution. One German man shouted, "I will never sign" to begin with, but when he learned the purpose of the petition he said, "Well, for human rights and for you, I will sign my name this time".
  • United Kingdom: Practitioners Raise Awareness about Falun Gong on Lafrowda Day

    Falun Gong practitioners held a stall in the Cornish town of St. Just. Every July, the town is filled with colour and music on Lafrowda Day, a celebration of community arts in the area. The stall was warmly received by locals in the remote village, as well as by tourists in the area. A local radio reporter saw the stall and wanted to interview practitioners.
  • European Parliament Holds a Joint News Conference about the Recent Eutelsat Incident

    Together with NTDTV in Europe and two other groups, MPs of political parties in the European Parliament held a joint news conference, strongly condemning the closure of NTDTV’s broadcast signals in Asia by the Eutelsat Company before the Beijing Olympics.
  • Germany: Falun Gong at the Cultural Festival in Augsburg

    Various political, cultural, charity and human rights organisations and groups from more than ten countries attended the annual Multi-Cultural Festival in Augsburg, including Falun Gong practitioners from Germany and Austria. It was the fifth time that Falun Gong had been invited to attend the festival, and the organisers were happy to see them.
  • Germany: People of Munich Support Practitioners' Activities to Raise Awareness about the Persecution of Falun Gong

    On July 5th, 2008 Falun Gong practitioners held activities in the square of St. Michaels Church, in the busy business district of Munich, to expose the nine year persecution of Falun Gong and support the 39 million Chinese people who have quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organisations. Many people signed their names on a petition condemning the persecution.
  • Germany: Falun Gong Information Day in Titi See

    Falun Gong practitioners organised a 'Falun Gong Information Day' in Titi See in the Black Forest. They hoped to raise awareness about the Chinese Communist Party's nine year persecution of Falun Gong and to support the wave of Chinese people quitting the Chinese Communist Party, as well as the affiliated youth and young pioneers.
  • Slovakia: Falun Gong Practitioners Raise Awareness about Falun Dafa in Poprad and Climb Kralova Holy Mountain

    On July 4th, Falun Gong practitioners from Slovakia visited Poprad, a city in eastern Slovakia, in order to inform people there about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Although the weather was not very favourable in the beginning and it even rained a little, the passers-by were not discouraged. They stopped at the petition table, read the information material and signed the petition.
  • Finland: Practitioners in Helsinki Raise Awareness about the Persecution

    On July 5th, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners from Helsinki made use of the weekend break to go to the railway station. They went to raise awareness about Falun Gong and inform them about the ten years of brutal persecution endured by Falun Gong practitioners at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party.
  • French MP asks Government to Protect Falun Gong Practitioners

    On May 17th, 2008, when the French city Nancy held a meeting regarding the persecution of Falun Gong, French MP M. Roland Ena, a former minister and present aid to the Mayor of Nancy, wrote to the French government asking for protection of Falun Gong practitioners’ rights and ending the persecution of Falun Gong in China.
  • Germany: Falun Gong 'Information Day' in Passau

    On July 5th, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners held a “Falun Gong Information Day” in downtown Passau, Germany. They collected signatures from the public expressing support for bringing the Chinese communist regime’s persecution of Falun Gong practitioners to an end before the Beijing Olympics.
  • Germany: Raising Awareness about Falun Gong in Two Cities in Nordrhein-Westfalen

    On July 5th, 2008, practitioners held activities in Düsseldorf and Mülheim in Nordrhein-Westfalen, German. They raised awareness about what Falun Gong is, and informed local people about the cruel persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party during the past nine years.
  • Sweden: Protest against the CCP's Persecution of Falun Gong at the Chinese Consulate in Goteborg

    "The persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China is bitter and merciless. My elder brother has been illegally imprisoned because he practises Falun Gong. So far over 3,000 Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted to death, some of whom happen to be my acquaintances. We won't stop protesting until the persecution is ended. The Flushing incidents are indicative of the CCP's weakness, because the persecution against 100 million people has also threatened the CCP's ruling power."
  • Germany: German Cities Hold Activities to Mark "Global CCP Quitting Day"

    In the run-up to "Global CCP-Quitting Day", activities supporting the 39 million withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organisations were held in nine cities in Germany on June 28th, 2008. Many people signed a petition urging the Chinese Communist regime to put an end to the persecution of Falun Gong before the opening of the Beijing Olympics.
  • United Kingdom: Falun Gong Practitioners Take Part in the Golowan Festival in Penzance, Cornwall (Photos)

    The Golowan Festival, held in Penzance, Cornwall, is a well-known arts festival held in the southwest of England, at the end of June each year. This year, Falun Gong practitioners took part in the 2008 Golowan Festival, bringing the peacefulness and goodness of Dafa to the local residents and visitors to Penzance.
  • Switzerland: Raising Awareness about Falun Gong in Zurich

    On June 28th, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners’ information stand again appeared on Bahnhofstrasse Avenue close to Zurich train station in Switzerland. As usual, pictures of Falun Gong practitioners being persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) were hung around the tent. The little table displayed leaflets and petition forms in various languages.
