On August 15, 2009, Falun Gong practitioner Jin Zhaoyu held a signature collecting activity in Pello, northern Finland for her petition to rescue her mother. The event exposed the ten-year long persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), called for the attention of the Finnish public, and hoped to aid in the rescue of her mother, Chen Zhenping and all other illegally imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners in China. -

From July 27 to August 2, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners in Denmark went on a car tour around eight major Danish cities outside of Copenhagen to introduce Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, a cultivation practice based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and to raise awareness about the persecution in China. -

They told passersby about the ten-year brutal persecution against Falun Gong and collected signatures on a petition calling on the German government to use all possible channels to end the harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners' organs in China.
