Ms. Zhao Tingyun from Henan Province Tortured to Death on Ninth Day in Police Custody

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhao Tingyun died on the ninth day of being in police custody. On January 6th, 2006, Zhao Tingyun went to the home of practitioner Li Beiping. Police officers who were staking out Li Beiping's home arrested Ms. Zhao and put her in custody. She held a hunger strike to protest the persecution and was savagely force-fed. The police reported that Ms. Zhao died around 5:00 a.m. on January 15th. -
Beijing's Liulitun Street Office in Beijing Responsible for Two Deaths and One Case of Severe Disability
2006-01-26The persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners during the past six years at the Liulitun Street Office, in conjunction with personnel from the 610 Office, resulted in two cases of abnormal death and one of severe disability. Dozens of people were unjustly detained, sent to forced labour camps, sentenced to prison terms, or sent to brainwashing classes or mental hospitals for torture. One such practitioner, Ms. Han Jingui was tied to chair and tortured, then sent to a mental hospital, where she was again tortured. Due to torture she suffered a brain hemorrhage and is now paralysed and bedridden. -
Mr. Xing Guangjun, Tortured to Paralysis in Jail in Hubei Province, Dies as a Result
2006-01-2549-year-old Mr. Xing Guangjun was arrested and sentenced to five years imprisonment. In July 2002, he was sent to the Fanjiatai Jail in Hubei Province. He was brutally tortured and injected with an unknown oral liquid drug, which caused a disorder in his nervous system and paralysis. After he was released on bail for medical treatment in April 2005, he was confined to bed. His mental condition was unstable, and he could not take care of himself. He was completely dependent on his family. He passed away in January 16th, 2006. -
Urgent: Rescue Practitioner Mr. Li Gang Whose Life is in Danger
2006-01-25Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Gang and others from Hebei Province were arrested on their way to an electronics market in Beijing. He was deprived of the right to sleep, handcuffed, and shocked with electric batons until he became incontinent. He passed out for several hours. One State Security agent from Baoding City shouted at him, "Killing one of you is like killing an ant!" Mr. Li Gang has been on hunger strike for 11 days and has been sent to Ankang Hospital Emergency Room to be force-fed many times. He is now very weak despite his previous strength. -
Three Practitioners from Shandong Province, Heilongjiang Province, and Tianjin City Who Died as a Result of the Persecution
2006-01-24Ms. Yao Qingyu, 63 years old, started to practise Falun Gong in 1998. Shortly after that, her diseases all disappeared. After the Chinese Communist Party started to persecute Falun Gong in July 1999, she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. Unfortunately, she was arrested, fined 11,100 yuan, and detained for 45 days. In January 2000, she went to Beijing for the second time. She was arrested, transferred back to her hometown, fined 1,800 yuan, and tortured in a mental hospital for one month. In 2001, she was arrested again. She was transferred to and persecuted in the Tian'erhu brainwashing centre. Her previous diseases reappeared and she passed away on March 3rd, 2003. -
The Despicable Conduct of the Police in Qinghe Town, Jilin Province
2006-01-24On December 16th, 2002, police arrested Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Cui Weidong. They searched his house, and confiscated his personal property. After that, they took Mr. Cui to the police station and brutally tortured him. The police stamped "Falun Dafa is Good" on his face and head, and laughed, ridiculed him, and swore at him. Afterwards, they sentenced him to a jail term, and imprisoned him in Jiangbei Prison in Jilin Province. Mr. Cui was tortured so severely that he got tuberculosis, and was in critical condition. His family members tried every means to get him out of prison and have him put on medical probation, but the Jiangbei Prison still would not release him. Consequently, a fine young man eventually lost his life. -
Three Dafa Practitioners from Heilongjiang, Anhui, and Hebei Provinces Persecuted to Death
2006-01-23Mr. Yue Baoxue, 39, was very determined in cultivating Falun Dafa. Since the persecution started on July 20th, 1999, Mr. Yue had been imprisoned three times. In 2001, Yue Baoxue went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa. He was arrested and sent to a forced labour camp for two years, where Mr. Yue was beaten mercilessly many times. He was hung up by handcuffs for six days and six nights. This caused severe damage to his muscles, something he never could recover from. After he went back home, the police frequently went to his home to harass him. Mr. Yue's health deteriorated and he died on January 5th, 2005. -
1641 Deaths of Practitioners by Torture or Murder Confirmed in 2005 (Photos)
2006-01-22During 2005, the Clearwisdom website posted 1,641 reports of Falun Gong practitioners in China being persecuted to death. The reports came from 29 provinces, cities and several "autonomous regions." Jiang Zemin, his regime, and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began persecuting Falun Gong practitioners on July 20th, 1999. From then through December 31st, 2005, at least 2,805 practitioners have died due to the persecution. Of these deaths, 392 occurred in 2005. These are only the known deaths. Because the persecutors try to hide their crimes, the true death toll is certain to be higher. -
Hunan Province Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. He Xuezhao Dies from Persecution; Police Arrest His Wife
2006-01-2242-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. He Xuezhao was tortured by the police until he could not walk and was at the brink of death. He was released around February 2005 on medical parole. Agents from the Zixing 610 Office in Chenzhou City and from his workplace continued to harass and monitor him. He Xuezhao passed away on January 13th, 2006. Zixing police have recently arrested his wife. Her current whereabouts are unknown. -
Paralysed Woman Who Gained a New Life from Falun Dafa Passed Away in 2003 as a Result of Persecution
2006-01-21A paralysed woman who lived in the countryside of Jilin Province miraculously recovered after practising Falun Gong. 36-year-old Ms. Xia Yufang had been completely paralysed since she was 20. After reading the main text of Falun Dafa in 1997 her body gradually returned to full health and mobility. Once the persecution began in 1999 the local police unceasingly harassed her again and again, trying to force her to stop practising Falun Dafa. Her elderly mother was arrested. Suffering deeply with the grief and indignation of her mother being persecuted, Xia Yongfang passed away on January 14th, 2003. -
Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Liu Zhirong Tortured to Death at the No. 3 Prison in Gansu Province
2006-01-20It has been verified that Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Zhirong was tortured to death at the No. 3 Prison in Tianshui City, Gansu Province. The prison authorities claimed Liu Zhirong had been ill but refused treatment, and then committed suicide. They would not allow Liu Zhirong's family to view the body or take the body home. Suicide is prohibited by the teachings of Falun Gong. In the vast majority of these cases, the practitioners were murdered, and the Chinese authorities called it a suicide in order to avoid responsibility and to further defame Falun Gong. The details of his death require further investigation. -
Detailed Information Regarding Mr. Xu Zhicheng's Death
2006-01-2044-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Xu Zhicheng was arrested at his home on September 23rd, 2005, tortured, and held in the No. 2 Detention Centre. In protest for his unjust incarceration Mr. Xu Zhicheng went on hunger strike from September 26th to October 2nd. The detention centre force-fed him once a day with up to a bag of salt with corn cereal or soybean powder. They injected this paste through a nasal feeding tube. He vomited blood after they inserted the tube. At midnight on October 2nd, the inmates reported for the third time that Mr. Xu was dying. Eventually he was driven to the hospital but was pronounced dead on October 3rd. -
Lieutenant Governor Wang Donghua Cannot Escape Responsibility for the Persecution Deaths of 336 Falun Gong Practitioners in Heilongjiang Province
2006-01-20The number of confirmed death cases of Falun Gong practitioners from Heilongjiang Province is 336. This number is 12% of the total number of 2805 death cases in China. Daqing City accounts for the persecution-related deaths of 54 practitioners (2% of the total in China and 17% of the total in Heilongjiang Province). Wang Donghua, lieutenant governor of Heilongjiang Province, directly participated and directed the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in Heilongjiang Province. He cannot escape responsibility for the crimes he has committed. -
Belated News: The Death of Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr Zhao Xudong Due to Force-Feeding
2006-01-19On December 7th, 2003, police detained Mr Zhao Xudong at a detention centre. The prison guards directed prisoners to punch and kick him. Mr. Zhao suffered chest pain for a long time because of this. He went on a hunger strike to protest the abuse under the persecution and was barbarically force-fed. Around 5:00 p.m. on February 5th, 2004, after two hours of forced feeding, Mr. Zhao was moved to a bed board and surrounded by 7 or 8 prisoners. He was in critical condition and was sent to a hospital around 7:30 p.m. Mr. Zhao was pronounced dead on arrival. -
Elderly Ms. Fang Guiming and Ms. Wang Xiuyun Died after Being Imprisoned for Years by Their Families Due to Pressure from the Chinese Communist Party
2006-01-19Ms. Fang Guiming and Ms. Wang Xiuyun were 73-years-old and 63-years-old. Bullied and threatened by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), their family members detained them at home for a long time. Ms. Fang died in July 2001, and Ms. Wang in the spring of 2003. Although she protested repeatedly, Ms. Wang's family members still kept her locked in a cabin not even 18 square metres. She was deprived of all freedom, and she suffered severely both physically and psychologically.
