  • Exposing the Persecution at the No. 2 Women's Forced Labour Camp in Shandong Province

In 2007, I was sent to the No. 2 Women's Forced Labour Camp Division 2 in Shandong Province. Upon arriving, several people persecuted me. I did not give up my practice of Falun Gong. Guards then told drug addict inmates to take turns watching me. They deprived me of sleep, access to the toilet, and the use of water. I was forced to stand for a long time (three days and four nights) twice. My legs were severely swollen and I could barely walk. I refused to write words defaming Falun Gong, so the guards gave me a heavy workload.

  • Abused and Forced into Homelessness for Practising Falun Gong

In 2000, I was arrested again by police. I was detained and abused in the detention centre of Wei County for 6 months. One day, a policeman shackled my hands and took me to the second floor of the Forest Bureau. He interrogated me about participating in a Falun Gong conference but I refused to talk. He then pushed me to the ground and slapped my face, and simultaneously uttered abusive words. Realizing that he could not extort a confession from me, the Deputy Chief Lu Xueping kicked me violently until he was tired. Zhao Kai threatened me, "You will be sentenced to forced labour even if you do not confess anything." To save my family from harassment by the police I was forced to leave my home.
  • Give Me Back My Dad, Give Me Back My Teacher

My dad Cui Hongde is a very kind man and would never harm anyone. He takes great care of me and my younger brother. A very warm-hearted man, he never hesitates to help those around him. He is very honest and has taught us how to be good people since we were young. In 2002, my father was detained and sent to a labour camp for around two years. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) slandered him and even told my mother that he had an affair to try to break up our family. Ms. Liu Duanai was my Chinese language teacher when I was a freshman in high school. She was very strict as a teacher, but a very gentle person. The last time I saw Ms. Liu was about six or seven years ago. Such a kind teacher was attacked by the 610 Office only because she practises Falun Gong. How can that be right?
  • The Torture I Suffered in Wanjia Forced Labour Camp

In November 2005, I was taken to Wanjia Forced Labour Camp for the second time by the police in Harbin City. I had already experienced different forms of torture there before. I was hung up and shocked by guards. They shocked me with two electric batons. After that they put me on the iron chair again. I was barefoot and was wearing only thin clothes, but guard Yao Fuchang opened the window in order to expose me to freezing temperatures. On the fourth day, before I had recovered from the torture with electric batons, guard Sun Qing pushed my head down and slipped an electric baton inside my clothes from the side of my neck, then shocked me all over.
  • Exposing the Persecution in the Shanghai Women's Forced Labour Camp

On December 29th, 2004, I was arrested and detained by police due to reports made by people who did not know the truth of the persecution. I was transferred to the Shanghai City Women's Forced Labour Camp for eighteen months. I was forced to watch DVDs full of lies, as a means to brainwash me and force me to quit Falun Gong. Since I did not submit to their demands, I was forced to stay in a small cell, sit for extended periods on a small stool, and to write self-criticism essays. I was forced to do physical labour, which I resisted. The brigade captain grabbed my collar and dragged me to her office, where she kept slapping my face left and right, and kicking my whole body.
  • Details of My Persecution by Harbin National Protection Team Leader Chen Yuhao

In October 2000, in order to speak the truth about Falun Gong, I went to Beijing to appeal. At the Beijing Qianmen Police Station, I was brutally beaten, leaving my entire body green and purple with bruises. After five days of torture, I was taken to my hometown by police and imprisoned in the Acheng District Second Detention Centre for twenty-five days. At around 7:00 p.m. January 24th, 2008, I went to a friend's to lend her my hair dryer. As soon as I entered her home, I was attacked by four or five policemen who were lying in wait. I was pulled and dragged into a police car, and taken to the Yuquan Town Public Security Bureau. The police took away my hair dryer and said, "This is a criminal device. We can't give it back to you." I was detained in the Acheng Second Detention Centre for eight days and inhumanely tortured.
  • I Have Personally Suffered the Same Tortures as Lawyer Mr. Gao Zhisheng

Nine years ago, when Falun Gong was persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), I went to Tiananmen Square in Beijing to appeal against the persecution. I was arrested and beaten, and then put into a detention centre. There I was persecuted severely, suffering many tortures. When we were taken to the detention centre, we were forced to stand along a wall all day long in the freezing cold. I was beaten severely by the guards for not telling them my name [Note: Because of the CCP's policy of implication, Falun Gong practitioners often do not reveal their name or address in order to protect family members, friends and co-workers from being harassed and persecuted by CCP officials]. The guard even used a belt to strangle my neck until the belt broke.

Falun Gong practitioner Hu Keling described her treatment while she was in a mental hospital: "We were tied down on a bed day and night, with hands and feet tied to the bed frame. There was a rope that held the body down on the bed across the chest. One could not turn on the bed, and had no choice but to relieve oneself on the bed. I began a hunger strike against this inhumane treatment. They force-fed me and left the feeding tube in me which caused severe nausea. Five male patients pinned me down on the concrete floor, removed my trousers and gave me injections every few days. After one month, I could not see things clearly, my periods stopped, and I developed tremors of my upper and lower extremities. I felt foggy headed and extreme fearful."
  • Exposing the Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners at Xinyi Police Station and Qianjin Forced Labour Camp in Harbin City

On August 1st, 2007, I went to Xinyi Police Station in Harbin City to give a letter to director Zhao Chengyin and police officer Wang Wei. The letter advised them to stop committing crimes against Falun Gong and attempted to awaken their conscience. Abruptly, seven to eight officers rushed in and arrested me. They pressed me down on the ground and handcuffed me behind my back, causing excruciating pain. They dragged me to a detention centre and later a forced labour camp where I was often beaten. They used every possible means to persecute me.
  • Luan Guizhi from Jiamusi City Describes Her Experience of Being Arrested

On December 23rd, 2008, I went to Falun Gong practitioner Yuan Yuqin's home. At around 3 p.m., someone knocked on the door. Yuqin opened the door and five or six policemen came in. Some of them started to ransack the room. Yuqin stopped them. A policeman asked my name and where I lived. I did not answer. They arrested us and took us to a police station. They sent us to a hospital for an examination. Two policemen, two policewomen, and the doctor dragged me to the bed in the examination room. In order to take off my trousers, they pulled my down jacket upward, so that my face was covered by the jacket. I was almost choked. They took us back to the police station later. Yuan Yuqin and I sat on a backless stool for a whole night.
  • How My Happy Childhood Turned Miserable

I am a young Falun Gong practitioner from Qiqihar. In 1999, the Chinese Communist Party started to persecute Falun Gong. I was 9 at that time. I was afraid. Later my dad was sentenced to forced labour and imprisoned at the Fuyu Forced Labour Camp. He was put through brainwashing sessions and suffered brutal torture. I felt very lonely and miserable. I asked myself again and again why such a good practice was slandered. In 2002 my dad was imprisoned again and I was left alone and had no one to depend on. At school, the director treated me very rudely. He pushed my chest and yelled at me. Other students frequently insulted me and scratched my face shouting at me, "He practises Falun Gong."
  • The Persecution of Mr. Liu Hongchang, Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province

I was detained by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for five years because I practise Falun Gong and suffered terrible and excruciating torture such as being beaten with electric batons and being force-fed. During that time, my daughter was discriminated against at her school, and my wife suffered from "guilt by association" and lost her job. After my wife lost her job, our daughter, who was only 15 years old, was forced to drop out of school and leave her home town to make a living. My father, my brother, and two uncles were threatened by the police many times. Their normal lives were disrupted, and they could not stand the intense pressure. They became ill and died, first one, then the other.
  • Ms. Zhu Yifang: The Relentless Torture I Have Suffered for Refusing to Renounce My Belief

Over two years ago, in November 2006, I was sent to the Sichuan Women's Prison because I continue to practise Falun Gong. Being detained, mistreated and brainwashed by three collaborators [former practitioners who have turned against Falun Gong under brainwashing and torture.] for such a long time subjected me to huge mental pressures. It has been a long time since I was given any regular food. My diet has been without vegetables and fruit. Lacking sunshine, I developed all-over oedema. I requested many times to leave the cell to get hot water, but permission was never granted. Soon, my life was in danger and I was sent to the police hospital.
