Ms. Yang Lijuan Disappears After Being Arrested by Jilin Provincial National Security Police

Ms. Yang Lijuan is 50 years old. After the persecution of Falun Gong began in July 1999, she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. She was arrested and held in a detention centre, where she experienced horrific torture because she refused to identify herself. She was exposed to the freezing winter temperatures without a coat, and a police officer tortured her, using an electric baton to shock her all over her body. Fortunately, she was able to walk out of the detention centre. At about 7:00 a.m. on August 24th 2005, four Jilin City police officers broke into Ms. Yang Lijuan's home, confiscated her personal belongings, and took her away. Her current whereabouts are unknown. -
The Unlawful Arrest and Mistreatment of a 16-year-old Girl
2005-09-01Ms Sun Yanpei,16 years of age, is an outstanding school student and a Falun Gong practitioner. On August 11th 2005, policemen from the 610 Office arrested Sun Yanpei at her school. Sun Yanpei's family has suffered terrible hardships one after another. Mr. Sun, who refused to give up his practise of Falun Gong, has been persecuted for the past six years. He was arrested, detained and tortured. He was also fired from his job. He is still detained at a detention centre since his arrest in 2003. Ms. Sun Yanpei's mother has become homeless, as she cannot return home or she will be arrested. As a result, Sun Yanpei was left at home without parents. She was constantly interrogated and her life as a student was affected dramatically. -
Torture Method Used at Hehuakeng Labour Camp -- The Sitting Board
2005-08-31The Hehuakeng Forced Labour Camp employs a torture method called the Sitting Board. The board they use is about 10 cm wide by about 10 cm thick. Practitioners are forced to sit in one position, from 5 a.m. in the morning to 8 p.m. at night. Other than two toilet breaks of (5 to 10 minutes each), they have to stay stationary in the one position. After a few days of sitting like this, pressure sores or ulcers begin to form on the victim's' buttocks. After an extended period of such torture, blood flow to the lower extremities is impeded. Practitioners will lose control over their bladder and/or bowels. -

2005-08-29My wife, Wu Yanxia, was a loyal Chinese Communist Party (CCP) member. However, when the CCP tried to force her to give up her beliefs, her conscience overcame her loyalty to the Party and she said "No" to the CCP. As a result she was immediately relegated to a different class of people in the eyes of the authorities. She lost her freedom to visit her relatives and friends. The police and neighbours constantly harassed her family. Our house was broken into and her computer searched. She was followed wherever she went and her telephone line was tapped. She was arrested and taken to a brainwashing centre many times, and she lost all of her freedom. -
Atrocities at Nanmusi Women's Forced Labour Camp in Sichuan Province
2005-08-28In mid-November 2004, Nanmusi Women's Forced Labour Camp policewomen bound Ms. Yang Zhengru onto a metal rotary clothes line in the spread-eagle position with handcuffs and shackles. The policewomen beat Ms. Yang severely with high voltage electric batons, causing her to fall unconscious. A criminal inmate was then ordered to press the acupuncture point above Yang Zhengru's lips to wake her up. When Ms. Yang came to, they demanded that she say she had fallen unconscious for no reason. If she refused, Chen had to continue beating her. Ms. Yang is now very weak and emaciated due to frequent beatings. -
After Suffering Interrogation and Torture, Cai Fuchen and Others Have Been Sentenced to Prison
2005-08-26On May 26th 2005, Cai Yuchen and five other practitioners were apprehended from a site producing leaflets exposing the persecution. Authorities confiscated more than 100,000 yuan in cash and equipment, and even seized all of their daily necessities. The six practitioners were then detained at the Yanji City detention centre for 15 months. During their detention, police brutally tortured them numerous times in order to force them to make confessions. On the evening of his arrest, Cai Fuchen was beaten and severely wounded. He could not walk after the beating. The other five were all wounded to various degrees. Yanji City Court recently sentenced Cai Fuchen to 10 years imprisonment. -
Little Benny Wants His Dad Back Home (Photo)
2005-08-25In March 2005, the German government rejected the political asylum application for Jiang Renzheng, his wife, his son, Benny and his other son. They were deported to China and returned to Jiang Renzheng's hometown, Benxi. The family's tragedy followed. On April 8th when Benny and his younger brother were playing at their grandparents' home in Shenyang, seven people came in and arrested his dad. Upon seeing dad arrested, Benny followed and ran to the doorway. He became terribly frightened and cried. Since then, he often cries and calls for his dad. He can't say complete words, but he calls for his dad often. -
Persecution Intensified as Hundreds of Practitioners at the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp Declare Their Resolve to Continue Practising Falun Gong
2005-08-24The Masanjia Forced Labour Camp is a concentration camp used to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. The guards there randomly bring steadfast practitioners into small wards and brutally torture them, using methods including: fierce beatings, handcuffing practitioners to metal chairs for 24 hours, leaving the windows open in freezing winter temperatures which causes injury and disability, putting high-volume loudspeakers beside practitioner's ears, sleep deprivation, and not allowing practitioners to use the toilet more than 2 or 3 times per day. -
Shanghai Practitioner Wu Aizhong and Others Facing Illegal Imprisonment
2005-08-24The couple proclaimed their innocence before the court's public prosecutor. They declared that they printed Falun Gong flyers with the purpose of letting people know the truth about Falun Gong. The court ruled that both of them had violated the illegal ban on Falun Gong, and said that making Falun Gong materials carries a sentence of 7 - 10 years in prison. The court appointed defence lawyer openly admitted that he could only submit a guilty plea. The verdict is not yet known. -
Ms. Xu Jingxian of Changsha City, Hunan Province Facing Illegal Court Trial - Her Non-Practitioner Husband and Son Sentenced to Labour Camp
2005-08-22Arrested four months ago by police, Dafa practitioner Ms. Xu Jingxian is now facing an illegal court trial just for exposing the persecution of Falun Dafa and telling people about the goodness of Falun Dafa. Her husband and son, who are not Falun Gong practitioners, were sent to a labour camp a few days ago. They were then sentenced to one year and three months and one year and six months respectively. The son is only about 20 years old. They had committed no crime except to believe that Falun Gong is good. -
The Persecution Ms. Bian Weixiang Suffered for Years in Heilongjiang Province
2005-08-22Wanjia Forced Labour Camp is notorious for its darkness and evil. Practitioners have suffered from various tortures, which are beyond imagination. Almost every determined Falun Gong practitioner, including 56-year-old Ms. Bian Weixing, has suffered terrible torture. Some practitioners were forced to keep the squatting position for 27 consecutive days, hung up, tied on the "death bed," and had toothpicks hammered under their fingernails. Police kicked and beat them. They used electric batons to shock practitioners' faces, necks and all over their bodies. -

2005-08-22In July 2004, because of her firm persistence in practising Falun Dafa, Ms. Zhang Hong was sentenced to the Wanjia Forced Labour Camp in Harbin City for the second time. Because she refused to write the "Three Statements" she was incarcerated in a solitary confinement room, which was dark, cold and damp. She was lying on a bare bed with her hands cuffed to the head of the bed and feet tied to the foot of the bed. Even in hot summer, people would shiver with cold in this room. This was the darkest room in the hell-like Wanjia Forced Labour Camp. Many practitioners were tortured to death or to disability there. -
Practitioner Fu Lijun from Sichuan Province Unjustly Sentenced to Forced Labour Camp
2005-08-21Ms. Fu Lijun, a 32-year-old practitioner was arrested on June 5th while posting leaflets exposing the persecution in an area near Jianyang. She was sentenced to a forced labour camp without notifying her family and is now locked up at Nanmusi Women's Forced Labour Camp. The family learned about her fate from other sources a few days after she was sentenced and locked up in the forced labour camp. The elder family members are overcome with grief, and the atmosphere in the house is gloomy and sad. -
Urgent Letter From Wang Xiuying's Disabled Husband, After She Was Abducted for the Fourth Time
2005-08-20"My wife, Wang Xiuying, is an employee at Xi'an Jiaotong University. Because she does not want to give up her belief in Falun Gong, she was abducted by a group of police from the 610 Offices. Her colleagues told me that she was carried away by the police, and that she is currently being subjected to brainwashing and mental torture at the Worker's Health Centre in Xi'an City. My wife is a very nice and honest person. Just because she practises Falun Gong, she has been abducted by the police many times and sent to detention centres and forced labour camps to be brainwashed for several months. She has been physically and mentally tortured in an inhumane way. Now my family is not like a family anymore." -
I Witnessed Ms. Gao Rongrong Being Tortured in Longshan Forced Labour Camp
2005-08-19 Ms. Gao didn't come out because of her bad health, so several team leaders forced her out. Female guard Liang Zhen shouted, "Handcuff her!" Tang Yubao took an electric baton and rushed at Ms. Gao. He grabbed her hair, pulled her out of bed and pushed her into the aisle. Before Ms. Gao was able to get her balance, Tang Yubao started to hit her face from both sides. He then grabbed her by her hair and hit her head against the table and the wall."
